The lucky bastards.

A British couple have won £1million in the EuroMillions lottery for the second time in 20 months - beating odds of more than 283 billion to one - and will finally move out of their static caravan.
Millionaires David and Kathleen Long from Scunthorpe will leave their small Lincolnshire bungalow and buy a mansion, as long as it has a bar and games room.
Last time the couple decided against moving and bought a new home for Mr Long's 81-year-old mother Joan instead.

Don't know why the typos are in there.

It was from a newspaper that required one to subscribe. The article was there in full but it appears copying and pasting scrambles it. Not my doing.

The headline was in Private Eye.

Why would you trespass, cause yourself harm and then blame someone else? Anyway, glad the Judge made the right call.

Who on earth advised them to sue if they faced paying costs if it didn't wash with the judge. Ridiculous what people will do to try and grab a few £££'s.

What will we all have to do next. Lock our kitchen knives in a safe just in case a bugler accidentally cuts himself whilst half inching your TV.

It does annoy me that the Judge said the school could have done more. Why should the school spend money to stop people breaking the law? The parents should have done more to make sure the idiot didn't trespass, and if they did everything they could, then well... kids will be kids and do stupid stuff, it is still the kids fault.

How did they think they would get away with this/

South Wales 'Ride me' bus advert sparks online backlash

_82912392_bus_grab1.jpgThe original image posted by the company on Twitter has already been taken down

A south Wales bus company says it will withdraw an advertising campaign following an online backlash.

The New Adventure Travel advert depicts a semi-naked woman on the back of buses holding a billboard which reads: "Ride me all day for £3".

The company said it had been trying to "make catching the bus attractive to the younger generation."

It has attracted an angry response on social media - including criticism by MPs.

On Facebook, one person wrote: "Absolutely dreadful advert, what is wrong with you?!"

Another said: "Do they seriously think they can get away with this? Women should take a stand on this and boycott that bus company."

The advertising, which also included an image of a semi-naked man, was to mark the launch of 10 new buses on the X1 cross-city route in Cardiff, between Pontprennau and Culverhouse Cross via the city centre.

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) said it has received 45 complaints.

A spokeswoman said the ASA understands the adverts will be taken down within 24 hours and it will monitor the situation in case further action is needed.

Motorist fined after car 'lifted' on to yellow lines in Manchester

_82913409_doubleyellowparkingticketblurrClair Morris said when she parked her car it was legally parked on the other side of the road

A woman who claims her car was moved by council workers on to newly painted double yellow lines says it is "crazy" she has been given a parking ticket.

Clair Morris said she parked her Mazda X5 legally near her home in West Didsbury, Manchester, on Thursday.

In order to allow fresh yellow lines to be painted that day, she believes her sports car was moved to a spot over the road, which had parking restrictions.

Manchester City Council has yet to respond to Ms Morris's claims.

She told BBC News that she discovered a parking ticket on her windscreen on Sunday, when she went to Northern Grove to pick up her vehicle, which she calls "Tracey".

Alongside a parking ticket which had been issued earlier that day, Ms Morris said there was a vehicle "re-position notice" from Manchester City Council which was dated 7 May - the day she had left her car on the other side of the road.

"It is crazy," said the 33-year-old. "I know traffic wardens have a job to do but you would have thought common sense would have prevailed.

"Someone passing told me they saw my car being lifted by a tow-truck and moved across the road.

"They thought I was being towed away."

Ms Morris added: "I'm going to dispute [the parking ticket] but it will be a load of hassle and a waste of my time."
