Corky Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 Why are people questioning whether we'll be up for the Derby match? Have you not seen the last four games against them?
Mark_w Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 Actually I said the exact same thing as Col, before Col. When was the last time I said Col posted something 'relatively sensible'. I think it's safe to say I was referring to the other poster you mentioned.
Kitchandro Posted 27 November 2012 Author Posted 27 November 2012 Lets remember Leeds needed a penalty to win the game even with ourselves sounding poor. That speaks volumes, so we shouldn't stick the boot in too much as Elland Road is a tough place to visit on a Tuesday night especially with the whole club buzzing from the good result on Saturday and the take-over situation. We'll bounce back. I'm not trying to be negative but I don't think that is true anymore. Their home form is not very good these days and the ground is half empty. They lost 6-1 there the other week.
Guest Col city fan Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 Yes, Nigel and Gordon. Theres no need to be flippant really mate is there. Most people thought we'd win today. I didn't. For the reasons I gave. Rather than doing your usual thing of taking the piss when you don't want to hear something, just try to give some constructive opinion yourself. It would be refreshing.
Carl the Llama Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 Youngy on the radio talking about the players being friends. How could I not post this?:
kingfox Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 Fez disagreed with you dopey! Think you and Col are the next Clough and Taylor I read wrong. Me and Col agree on some things, but if we were the coaching team I would resign straight away, as he will demand that we sign Jay Emmanuel-Thomas.

Captain... Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 The sad thing is we've come off the back of two good performances and then we've really not turned up. It sounded like we were beaten tactically, we gave away the early goal and we just didn't seem to have anyone out there who could change the game and take it by the scruff of the neck. I don't think that we were beaten tactically as such, but that by conceding so early our pressure/passing game plan went completely out of the window.
kingfox Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 When was the last time I said Col posted something 'relatively sensible'. I think it's safe to say I was referring to the other poster you mentioned. He posts a lot of things I agree with tbh.
yorkie1999 Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 About as much chance as us scoring from a corner Well that's a nailed on 1 in 127 then
AKCJ Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 Hopefully someone like that Diouf bloke I ****ing doubt it.
Mark_w Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 You're still at it i see.. Just putting right Kingfox's incorrect assumption.
Guest Col city fan Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 He posts a lot of things I agree with tbh. Except about Jay!! Keep your eye out for him KF...
Libertine Dream Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 Next two are must win, after that we have a few difficult fixtures and a couple of away games where we may have to go not to lose
Benji Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 Very poor game to sit through. Won't single players out because no one played particularly well. Nice to see Leeds have adopted the Warnock 1-0 and defend/time waste from 10 minutes onwards. Disappointing to see from a home team, guess it worked though.

kingfox Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 Except about Jay!! Keep your eye out for him KF... He will be released in the Summer and picked up by someone like Yeovil. Just putting right Kingfox's incorrect assumption. What is your problem, cause you are pissing me off again.
Kitchandro Posted 27 November 2012 Author Posted 27 November 2012 I don't think that we were beaten tactically as such, but that by conceding so early our pressure/passing game plan went completely out of the window. What I mean is Leeds had a game plan to stop us playing and it worked. We can be a devastating side going forward but we obviously weren't today. The early goal didn't stop us passing it, Leeds did, and some of our players had off games.

Sorry Col, don't want your feelings hurt. Ok, I'll give some constructive criticism. We don't need a powerful midfielder. We've played 19 games and in about 3 of them we've been bullied in that area. In most games our midfield, as a unit, has dominated their area and we've created significant chances. Our problem is not capitalising on the opportunities we create and the possession we hold. Our defence is very solid and we have a fine goalkeeper. We are not strong enough attacking set-pieces. We might be bullied or outfought in midfield once or twice but it's not a big problem. Another striker and another winger are what we need in January to push on. We lost tonight, it's a shame but there is no need to be despondent.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 Re: this physicality point - are Leeds really that 'physical?' They've one or two dirty spoilers in their side but on the whole they're not that much stronger. Agree with Fez that it's a footballing cliché that rears it's head whenever our midfield has an off day.
Happy Fox Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 We just need a striker to put the ball in the back of the net
Spiritwalker Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 Sounds like they were well drilled in Neil 'Anti Football' Warnocks methods. We won't have to put up with that every week, chalk it off and start again on Saturday. This.I've not seen any other championship side play like 'dirty Leeds' this season so lets not get too hung up on this one game. If we can get a decent striker in the Jan transfer window and if Morgan stays injury free, I still fancy us to go up.
Kitchandro Posted 27 November 2012 Author Posted 27 November 2012 Re: this physicality point - are Leeds really that 'physical?' Agree with Fez that it's a footballing cliché that rears it's head whenever our midfield has an off day. I've seen them a couple of times this season and they've really just been dirty and physical throughout the team. They've got a couple of good attacking threats but even they are quite strong, it's no surprise to hear Youngy saying we were bullied. Our centre backs are strong but lets face it; Vardy, Drinky, King and Dyer are pretty weak, and Marshall and Knockaert aren't exactly powerhouses. In certain games we will get outfought if the opposition organise themselves well enough, it's not happened a lot, I think we've been good enough to play around a lot of teams but it's happened a couple of times. I agree it's not a major issue but it's still a weakness.
davieG Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 According to the Guardian we had 51% possession 12 shots to their 6 5 on target to their 2
