Ozwin Posted 12 December 2012 Share Posted 12 December 2012 I want him purely cos he's New Zealandish and will get something stupid like 200 caps.
FrankieADZ Posted 13 December 2012 Share Posted 13 December 2012 think Woods would be a good signing if we manage to get him.
ratherbedeadthanred Posted 13 December 2012 Share Posted 13 December 2012 perfect, cracking right peg on him too, loan vardy then sell him in the summer, we'll be lucky to get half of what we paid for him.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 13 December 2012 Share Posted 13 December 2012 Myself and a few of the aussies on here have been saying for a long time, that we should sign him. Always showed a lot of potential even at 17 when he looked 25 playing for WBA and has always done well for the All Whites.
absolutelegend Posted 13 December 2012 Share Posted 13 December 2012 Woods is OK. Can't see him starting for us though. Difficult to get excited about this signing if it happens.
Finnegan Posted 13 December 2012 Share Posted 13 December 2012 Always cautious whenever we're looking to sign some big unit. We're playing good football this year and any motivation to revert to something stone-age is a serious step backwards. If he's happy to come and sit on the bench and be "Plan B" then fine. If he's expecting to start games on a regular basis? Eh, I'd rather Waghorn.
Wakeyfox Posted 13 December 2012 Share Posted 13 December 2012 Thought he was a good keeper in the 90's.

Leicester_Numan Posted 13 December 2012 Share Posted 13 December 2012 Be a great signing. Forest after him too. If we don't sign him and Forest do, there's always Billy Sharp who would probably jump at the chance this year
Col city fan Posted 13 December 2012 Share Posted 13 December 2012 If we don't sign him and Forest do, there's always Billy Sharp who would probably jump at the chance this year I don't know much about Wood.. But Sharp is a player I'd love at City.
indierich06 Posted 13 December 2012 Share Posted 13 December 2012 I don't know much about Wood.. But Sharp is a player I'd love at City. I dunno, as much as I rate Sharp as a player, I don't think I'd be that thrilled at having a player at the club who's turned us down twice already - even if he came, how much would he really want to be here? foxfanazer Posted 13 December 2012 Share Posted 13 December 2012 Never rated him personally. His career stats are somewhat patchy and I remember him being hauled off in the first half against us when playing for Barnsley because he was having a stinker. That said, I (and everyone else should) know from experience that what a player's done at previous clubs means nothing, most were excited about Beckford, a lot about Bednar, a few about Nugent and look how all of those turned out! In summary, you can never tell. If Pearson wants him I've faith in Pearson to get the best out of any player that he signs so I'll trust him on this one. As others have said Percy John, or whatever his name is, is very reliable for Midlands football news. nugent? How would u say he's turned out? Danno Posted 13 December 2012 Share Posted 13 December 2012 We need a bit of height up front anyway, we rarely score headers from open play (only nugent normally)
muzzy1981 Posted 13 December 2012 Share Posted 13 December 2012 Futac came on a free so was a good signing but if there is a better option out there let's go for it. It's all about how they perform in training too something we don't see

Deucalion Posted 13 December 2012 Share Posted 13 December 2012 There is no truth in Chris Wood to Huddersfield. It is just rumour. This is from the horse's mouth.

Happy Fox Posted 13 December 2012 Share Posted 13 December 2012 According to the BBC we are after two strikers http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20709041?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter Leicester City are eager to sign at least one striker in the January transfer window with Chris Wood believed to be their main target, BBC Radio Leicester reports. The 21-year old is on loan at Millwall from West Brom and has scored eight goals in 16 games for the Lions. Foxes boss Nigel Pearson is understood to be currently chasing two strikers. But it is not clear whether he is keeping his options open or wants to make a double signing next month.
acooling08 Posted 13 December 2012 Share Posted 13 December 2012 Haven't seen enough of him, but will be sure to watch him closely vs Millwall. He isn't exactly prolific if you look at his stats, although he has been scoring well for Miiiiiiiiiiiiillllllllllllllllllllll this season. Babylon Posted 13 December 2012 Share Posted 13 December 2012 Just so Mark knows I won't write him off before I see him. I think it would be an ideal signing. With your track record it can only mean he'll be shit for us.
emmo1987 Posted 13 December 2012 Share Posted 13 December 2012 They have Long, Odemwingie, and Fortune already and Cox i think (may have been permanent to Forest) And marcus rosenberg Also romelu lukaku on loan.
Ric Flair Posted 13 December 2012 Share Posted 13 December 2012 He's stated he wants to sign permanently with Millwall so if they put a bid in that matches or betters ours, it'll be interesting to see what happens. If he joins us then he'll not have to move house but perhaps he fancies a gig down the smoke. He'll be definite first choice there but with us, he'll be up against Waghorn, Vardy, Futacs and although that's not the highest of calibre they are all Pearson signings and he'll not be a guaranteed starter. I don't think Millwall could afford to sign a player for £1m, my mate's a season ticket holder there - she says they've hardly got a pot to piss in.
