US law has to really crack down on guns, screw the constitution.

It's difficult to "screw the US Constitution" without screwing democracy completely.

Many people ( with good reason) think this is the whole plan .

I agree things need to change though and I'm not disagreeing with you :(

The pro gun lobby may be powerful but I don't think they're in a position to be so casual about PR:

I think the link to this story is better:

http://gawker.com/5977377/gun-appreciation-day-celebrated-with-accidental-shootings-at-gun-shows-in-north-carolina-and-ohio

Three people were wounded Saturday afternoon after an accidental shooting at the Dixie Gun and Knife Show in Raleigh, North Carolina. The incident apparently occurred at a security check point when the owner of a 12-gauge shotgun was asked to remove his gun from its case. Somehow, the gun discharged, shooting two people in the hand and one in the right torso.

Meanwhile, in an entirely unrelated incident, a man at the Medina County Gun Show was shot and injured later Saturday afternoon.

As the Daily Intelligencer notes, today is both Gun Appreciation Day and Guns Across America. What a perfect way to celebrate!

UPDATE: And there was another shooting. A man shot himself in the hand while loading his gun outside the Indy 1500 Gun and Knife Show gun show in Indianapolis.

I lived in chicago, even the police are scared to go to the south side.

and that area was a bee's dick away from getting the 2016 Olympics.

I used to go to High School in Roxbury, MA. Whilst obviously I'm not there anymore, it's just as bad as it was then, as it is now. My favourite is the David Letterman roof one.

Horrible stuff that. Looks lovely when you visit the City of Boston website as well. Arts, culture, diversity, everything you would want.

Today this neighborhood, which serves as the heart of Black culture in Boston, is undergoing a renaissance. Hundreds of new business and housing initiatives have revitalized the neighborhood's Dudley Square, Crosstown, and Grove Hall areas. The dramatic transformation of Blue Hill Avenue from a street lined with vacant lots to a dynamic business district is one of Mayor Menino's proudest achievements. The Roxbury Center for the Arts, Culture, and Trade, which opened in 2005, celebrates the cultural richness of the community through the visual and performance arts.

Not sure if it's been mentioned in this thread, but do people think that the anti-psychotic drugs have a part to play in all of this?

I read the other day that Americans take something like 20% of all anti-psychotic drugs that are prescribed in the world, and that around 2% of people who take these drugs would probably have 'violent episodes'. Could be something in that.

You mean the 'Mass Murder Pills` lol lol lol

But yeah, there is a common theme with brain altering drugs and mass shootings and the medias barely ever touch that . . . . we know why that is $$£â‚¬Â¥â‚¬£$$

edit : I obviously mean in the USA, that place is in its own catagory

I'd be interested to see the per capita difference in British & American consumption of anti psychotics. I'm dubious the difference would be that great.

I am no medical expert but here at least in the UK we seem to give out ADHD pills, anti-depressant pills much much less to kids than American doctors seem to do.

To me it doesn't seem right that we give anti depressant pills to kids anyway.

It appears plausible to me but I wouldn't know for sure.

It beggars belief, but there's people in the US harassing the ones that saved kids and teachers alike that day:

In fact, there's a whole group of people getting lost in conspiracies again. Christ almighty.

Tl;dr. If only we had a resident conspiracy nut to briefly encapsulate the allegations...
