LcFc_Smiv Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 I don't know how I'll feel at the end of the season, whether I'll want him to be sacked or not. It's not my decision, though. Rightly or wrongly, if he doesn't get us promoted, he will be gone. I think he's even acknowledged this fact himself. You see I don't think he will have acknowledged this, Pearson strongly believes in building a team and I doubt he would come back if there was a possibility the board will sack him after missing out on promotion after a full season.
kingfox Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Time for Sexy Waghorn, as the girls would say.
Guest Col city fan Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Pearsons done a great job in killing everyone's enthusiasm for the club, I'm sat here bored out of my mind. Now you know how I feel when I read your posts..
Deucalion Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 I think it depends how we finish as to whether we should keep Pearson or not. We haven't had a blip recently, we have had the start of a potential decline. It has gone on too long to be a blip. If we fall away into mid-table then I think Pearson should go. If we look good and narrowly miss out then he deserves another go.
5waller5 Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Pearsons done a great job in killing everyone's enthusiasm for the club, I'm sat here bored out of my mind. I've got a feeling it's Stringer boring me to death.
Corky Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Pearsons done a great job in killing everyone's enthusiasm for the club, I'm sat here bored out of my mind. It's a shame really, because a month ago we were playing some great football.
Thracian Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 The formation is pretty defensive. I reckon Pearson will be happy with a draw too. Sensible football mate.. Win your home games and win/draw some away. I swear that some of you think we ought to win every game. Might be a good argument if it ever worked that way. But it doesn't. Sounds as if they should have had a penalty a minute ago and that would likely have been game over. For me you get nothing for being negative irrespective of what happens today. We've gone more than 245 minutes without scoring a goal at home or away and I don't see anything "sensible" in that if we're to achieve anything this season.

Getting a point away to the team second in the division when you've been on a stinking run makes all the sense in the world to me. As long as we get it...
ADK Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 To be honest i think our tactics have been decent, it just sounds like we are misplacing too many passes.
deanolegend1989 Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 A draw would be a good result but its the current poor run of form that makes people, including me, think we need the 3 points to make up for some of the rubbish. However if we did draw(even that looks tough currently) this result wouldnt be the problem.
Munshi Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Pearsons done a great job in killing everyone's enthusiasm for the club, I'm sat here bored out of my mind. Was the same with sven, but as long as we get the win, who cares.
RonnieTodger Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Time for Sexy Waghorn, as the girls would say. I'll call him Sexy Waghorn all the time if he gets us a winner!

I don't think it is as clear cut as it was for Sven, Sven was given a lot of money to get us up, Pearson was given the task of reducing the wage bill and stop the haemorrhaging of money, as well as creating a team that can get us promoted. If the time scale was so short I don't think Pearson would have signed so many youngsters, I think if we can show that we are good enough to go up, but narrowly miss out, the owners will keep the faith when they look at the balance sheet. If we fall away after spending some money in Jan and don't finish in the play offs it could well be curtains for NP.
lcfcsnow Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 It's a shame really, because a month ago we were playing some great football. Maybe at home but every away game this season has been mind numbing, I can't remember the last time I was genuinely excited listening to us play away, probably Norwich.
foxsake123 Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Why do you think he doesn't? Usually first 45 we are crap. 2nd half we (usually) improve I assume after half time team talk.

lcfcsnow Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Was the same with sven, but as long as we get the win, who cares. As long as we win? We have one of the worst away records in the league so this boring shite aint working is it?

Wednesday was a good performance, and early in the season we were dominating but losing games. More recently we've gone too negative.
Tom17LCFC Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 I really, really wish Alan Young would stop talking, pack his bags and quit.

Deucalion Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 I really, really wish Alan Young would stop talking, pack his bags and quit. He's alright but his negativity gets me down when I listen on the radio though.
