kingfox Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 I checked the weather, hence why I left work at 3pm. How many times does this need saying? Should of checked it in the morning, or the night before, surely you knew snow would be on the way.
fleckneymike Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 I checked the weather, hence why I left work at 3pm. How many times does this need saying? At what point during your epic 4hr journey home did you think "I could have walked home quicker than this?"
Babylon Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 What 'gesture' would people who didn't attend like the club to make? I already get the gesture, a ticket exchange for another game. It's in season ticket t's and c's. Bit rough that people buying individual tickets can't get the same under exceptional circumstances like this. With 8000 seats free a game!
Kitchandro Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 One thing our fans are TOPS at Moaning if it hadnt bee on TV 12,000 people would not have missed this game ,Some and think a large sum of them Might have tried to get there .We tried it took 4 times longer than normal but we tried and im glad we did .Had the game been called off I doubt the 8,000 real fans would have been on here crying over their travel costs .Your Choice to say at home Nice to see fans slating their own wonder if Forest or Derby want to addopt a few If it wasn't snowing, even with it being on TV we would have got 21,000 plus. So what exactly is your point?
Babylon Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 At what point during your epic 4hr journey home did you think "I could have walked home quicker than this?" About every second of it, in decent boots it probably would have taken the same time. I got off the bus from Syston and walked part of the way into town but nearly broke my frigging ankle twice so I ended up getting on another bus.
Guest MattP Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 What 'gesture' would people who didn't attend like the club to make? Anything, I'd like to see those who couldn't make it who purchased the £20 ticket offered a similar deal for the Wolves game, after all we're going to have 10,000 minimum empty seats in the stadium. Season ticket holders who couldnt make it as far as I'm concerned should be refunded. Least they deserve for their support over the last few years. The fact people find gestures like this to be OTT again shows just how far the other way we have gone n England over the way we expect clubs to treat its supporters.
Babylon Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 Should of checked it in the morning, or the night before, surely you knew snow would be on the way. I did... that's why I left work at 3pm. The weather report did not say "Even though there isn't that much snow, the whole of Leicester will grind to a halt for 6 hours. Even though in 15 years of doing the same journey it's never happened before, even in worse snow than this."
Guest MattP Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 As for people saying 'you should have gone straight from work'. What clothes do you actually turn up for work in? I'm not going to go down the stadium in a expensive suit and shoes to freeze my bollocks off and probably ruin them.

AlphaMaleFox Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 Some groups would've had a knock-on effect, including mine. I've got a season-ticket with 3 mates and normally walk (about 40 minutes), but none of them could make it as they normally get the bus and live considerably further away than I do. I could've gone on my own, with it already being paid for, or the far more sensible option...watch it on TV in the warm, with a good pint of beer in my hand and saved myself nearly an hour and a half's walking in the cold. It was a no-brainer. At least you are not bitching like Babylon...
Raj Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 Read alot of bollox from folk about this(mos usual posters who think they are No 1 fans even though they are still sucking on their mums tits!) S'pose the 10,000 odd fans that dindt make it are just part time/glory hunting supporters or whatever was sung by the hardcore"LOYAL" supportes who made it! Well done to you all(Seriously) BUT dont chastice those who didnt make for whateve reason. I personally left home earlier but got stuck in massive traffic around Wakerey Rd/Evington Ln area. I could have walked etc.but i Didnt want an hour journey back home after the game so fcked off home and i dindt even listen to it on the radio! Been a ST holder for nearly 20 years but i suppose i have a life outside of football and its not really the be all and end all of my existense...If it is for you..Good Luck!

coolhandfox Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 It's great when people use the terms 'real fans' & 'loyal fan' and am a better fan then you because I walk 10 miles in the snow with no shoes and only wearing my underpants........just ego massaging.

I do it 3 or 4 times a season. Do you go to the pub after work in a suit or go home to get changed in case you spill something on it?

Tommeh Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 Pretty relieved so many did decide to stay at home, traffic was bad enough without 10,000 extra motorists coming in. As said the club don't owe anything but for the sake of a bit of good PR, something that these days will get fans into grounds, I think they've missed a trick on this one. At the end of the day it was a freak night, yet one of the very best at this ground and a huge 3 points no more really needs to be made of it.

I ask again because you didn't respond first time, when asked: Did you bought Boro' tickeṭ at all?

Walk in the snow for an hour in a suit and trousers and see what it does to them, it's not generally good. I ask again because you didn't respond first time, when asked: Did you bought Boro' tickeṭ at all? Yes I had a ticket.

Do they think the club will etch "LOYAL SUPPORTER" onto their gravestone? Perhaps they will be on Tv or be an icon like Jobber! If you Decide you cant make it,so be it..Can understand why so many have a bee in thier bonnet about the ones that didnt go This is why Arsenal fans are paying £82 tickets cos the fans are too LOYAL to boycott! People really should start thinking about the importance (or lack of) of football...its only a fcuking bunch of over paid primadonnas kicking a bag of air. That tw@t Scouse manager who said it was more important than life really must have been a lonely man!!
Babylon Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 take a bag with the appropriate attire as a contingency against potential bad weather. i don't know why babylon is still moaning, it was his **** up and he should take it on the chin. I suppose you walk around carrying life rafts, skis, knife, matches and tinder, freeze dried food rations, tent, sleeping bag, fishing rod, lightning conductor. I'm not bothered for myself I get a ticket swap that I'm happy with, I think it's poor form for those who aren't so lucky. Especially with 8000/10000 empty seats each week.
kingfox Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 Getting a C is the new A+. C was the highest I could achieve, you were put in a special class if you wanted to do the higher GCSE, I didn't opt for that because I knew I wasn't good enough, C was the max and I achieved it, so I was happy
