Make a donation to Foxestalk

Just learned from another thread that the site owner hasn't received many donations recently after an initial slew.

I have no attachment or link to the site owner so I thought I'd put up a thread to encourage a small donation from those that can afford to as maybe he wouldn't ask thinking it impolite.

There are a fair few of us who enjoy the site, read it a lot and post a fair bit too. Reading of people who are touring Australia, others who are paid a reasonable salary and others who believe that people should get their fair dues makes me think that maybe some of us should make a small contribution each year in return for the enjoyment and pleasure (or release) we get from the site. Especially Foxiles like myself (and McD workers like Moosebreath).

The donate button is at the bottom of the page and the payment is through paypal - so it doesn't matter what your own currency is, nor does it matter how small the donation is.

a quid or 2 for each 1000 posts you write or each 5000 posts you read wouldn't add up to so much but would cover site costs on a site that rarely has problems and brings us so much pleasure.

Go on! Click donate now! It's even more self-enhancing than sponsoring someone who is climbing Everest.

Well done for pointing this out... the owner and Mods have and do a great job here, I have just made a small donation...

Will make a few more donations over the months. Keep up the great work.

It's a great site and runs very smoothly for saying how many people are on the site at times. Massive forum. I like the fact that even the nutters on here are allowed to run free. You know who you are.

This place is my interwebs life, so I'll chuck in a few bob.

That said, if a bob is £50 then I meant to say that I'll chuck in a fraction of a bob.

I thought this site would be running on a profit with the sheer amount of traffic

Dont know Mark tho so I guess I cant say for sure, top effort tho a clean and smooth running site but the people are what make a forum.

Now pat yourselves on the back and give what you feel :chant:

Even with all this traffic he won't make any money, unless someone clicks on a advert. so Donations are the only other source the forum must survive from.

Everyone should just starting smashing the ads lol. 5000 clicks x 23p each = £1150

This is timely to my own thoughts.

Mark deserves major props for making and keeping this site going! Even those who don't participate and just read the site could do the right thing and put their hand in their pocket and donate a shiny virtual pound.

I do that regularly, mainly genuinely but sometimes when there's an ad for ManUre season tickets I click a few times to teach them for being cheeky.

Do they earn money then everytime you click on an ad?

I've a lot to learn about the world wide web!

Don't really have any spare cash atm but I can click ads although not a lover of clicking ads in case my PC start gettin responses from them. I'll see how many posts I have and what it amounts to.

Nobody would expect you to pay Ken.

Maybe not but I would not object to a subscription. It might cut down on the spammers and the ones that have multiple bans and My Kitchen Designer.
