Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 7 February 2013 Posted 7 February 2013 Plus the thirty quid it costs to join, bargain!! You can make that back in savings in a trolly-full. Washing powder, fizzy drinks, meats, tools, pet food... some of the stuff is half the price of things elsewhere. I got a dehumidifier off them £25 cheaper than I could find even on the internet, delivered free. That one purchase alone pretty much paid for the years' membership

It seems a strange business model, only accepting people in certain kinds of employment but they are huge in In North America.

The Year Of The Fox Posted 7 February 2013 Posted 7 February 2013 I walked in the spice of India (syston) once and asked for a takeaway to be delivered, taking me with it. Quite drunk but they got the Jag out and one of the owners took me home. That's genius
Danizen Posted 11 June 2013 Posted 11 June 2013 That's a rubber glove in there. Urrgh! I suppose it could have been worse...

Bobby Hundreds Posted 12 June 2013 Posted 12 June 2013 Marina were closed last weekend . Absolute bin.
Wymsey Posted 12 June 2013 Posted 12 June 2013 Only takeaways I use are the 'Catch of the Day' or the 'Happy Garden' shops in Syston.
Yastafox Posted 12 June 2013 Posted 12 June 2013 Went to Pepe's Peri Peri in Solihull a few weeks ago was quite nice! Standard chicken type meals but its all grilled, none of this deep fried pigeon stuff! They also do a nandos style "how hot" where you can choose from lemon & lime to extra hot etc. Apparently they've just opened one on Market Street in town, not been to that one yet but will be soon!

MIAMI_FOX Posted 12 June 2013 Posted 12 June 2013 Chinese: Chungs Kitchen on Fosse Road is fantastic, great chicken chow mein & chicken in black bean sauce. mmmmmm Indian: Aroma Spice in Birstall. Their garlic rice is amazing. I miss these places, but visiting the UK next week so will be visiting both places.
Rincewind Posted 12 June 2013 Posted 12 June 2013 My kitchen which reminds me I've still got my dinner to do. Jacket potato, cheese and onion pasty and green beans. Back in 15 minutes. Talking about cooking, has anyone use an halogen oven? Are they best suited for families? Why have I not put this in the question thread?
Soar Fox Posted 12 June 2013 Posted 12 June 2013 Where do you lot go if hungry in town? For something to eat.
