For indian food i tend to go to Cuisine of India in wigston as its a 2 minute walk from my house-rare occasion though. Kebabs from Oadby Chippy-they're incredible. Chinese food from either iDragon or Pearl City down near the aberdale.

I have heard absolute horror stories about Maryland Chicken and what it does to you on it's way out...

I had a lukewarm one once.

My toilet looked like it had been jetwashed with Bovril the next morning.

I wouldn't recommend Tushba Pizza, ordered a few large burgers on there and they had 2 very thin burgers on top of eachother in a bun and even for a takeaway the salad was extremely soggy.

China Chef if I'm having a chinky **** you if you claim that's racist. I don't really like Indian, I find the posher the place I go to- Out of India, The Cinammon Tree or Chillia and Spice- the less likely I am to finish the meal. The Balti down Coalville is the only place I've ever finished a curry.

I can probably stomach an Indian every 4 months, and immediately after I feel ill. I have a chinky most weekends

Edit- The best chinky for miles around is Helyen in Castle Donington

McIndians is ok as well, got a decent food hygiene rating and serve up some half decent grub (well as good as it gets for a town takeaway).

I had the sh1ts for two weeks after a keema from the new one on LDN road

Yen Lin is a very good chinky, Curry House isnt as good and Roosters do some very good bits of Chicken but the cheepo burgers and fries are naff, NWB do decent emergency munch.

As for Indyuns I really like that Kayal near teh train station, and I tried a new Nepalese/Gurkah place called Everest something there doin some cracking deals atm as theyre new too

Bombay bites is really nice if you haven't been before. Cheap indian (£5 for medium box that fills you up) perfect if you've got the munchies but don't want to splash 10/15 quid out.

BBQ base is pretty decent if you like chicken though the service is terrible, the guys at the desk don't have a clue.

Chip stop on Fosse Road North - excellent non-greasy mixed kebab (lamb with mint sauce - yum) and great chips

For a chicken shish kebab, Doner Master is great - although I only go to the one on Queen's road, the one on Narb Road seemed to be full of people who would happily stab you.

Sometimes get a Yo Sushi take out for lunch which is good, or the chinese place on High Street near the high cross loading bay is great.

I live in the Coalville area and Kashmir do the best kebabs I have ever tasted. Chinese from Wok Express and Indian from the Cinnamon Tree.

Wok Express got shut down about 2 years ago for finding faceas on towels didn't they? They're my nearest but I don't use them lol

I like the chicken wrap things you can get from the place next door to Emporium/Clint's.

lol its been a long day.

For any of you townies who think they're a bit up on the Curry scene. Chilli and Spice in Swannington are a good favourite from round here. They used to fly their curry out to Westlife by helicopter on special request lol

I was a fan of Coalville Grill's burgers back in the day. Fat as fook. I'm sure they are hoof the size now, and give you the tummy grumbles.
