Cincinnati Fox Posted 31 January 2013 Posted 31 January 2013 Looks like danny graham is on his way to boro Will make them a real danger to us for 2nd place Looked a decent side against us, just lacked a quality striker Not any more!!
RyanLCFC18 Posted 31 January 2013 Posted 31 January 2013 dont care...weve got Nuge an Wood plus one player doesnt make a team
KFS Posted 31 January 2013 Posted 31 January 2013 We're sitting in a brilliant position, higher than all teams bar one. Lets just focus on winning as many as we can, thats how we fend off teams like Middlesborough and their quality striker.
Guest Col city fan Posted 31 January 2013 Posted 31 January 2013 He's from the NE I think? If borough pull that signing off, it'll be their version of us getting Wood. And yes, could make a big difference. It would also show they intend to get promotion this season.
Ric Flair Posted 31 January 2013 Posted 31 January 2013 I'd still back Chris Wood to score as many as Graham from now until the end of the season but he is a quality striker
Bayfox Posted 31 January 2013 Posted 31 January 2013 WTF I thought swansea wanted 4.5 million plus, thats what they asked stoke and sunderland for. And people say we are big spending.
Ric Flair Posted 31 January 2013 Posted 31 January 2013 He was at Boro as a kid weren't he? Never really did a lot there, kept being shipped out on loan.
Cincinnati Fox Posted 31 January 2013 Author Posted 31 January 2013 5 million deal!! Surprised they can afford that Lets hope Sunderland highjack the deal He came through boro academy
goose2010 Posted 31 January 2013 Posted 31 January 2013 5 mill is a risk as we all know!!! He wont go to Sunderland he said in a magazine that he hates them and will never sign for them.

It would also show they intend to get promotion this season. The difference is that we've had Wood for a month now. He came in at the start of the month and it's seen us rise above those teams after a bad run. If they pull this one off then hopefully it'll be 2 or 3 games too late for them.

Bit strange really, I mean if you knew you had that money for a striker, and you knew you needed one.... why wait until the last day?
MC Prussian Posted 31 January 2013 Posted 31 January 2013 Where do Middlesbrough get all this money from? £5m for a Premier League striker? Madness - and people were complaining about our pricey purchases one to two seasons ago. Still, the deal is not yet done. Sunderland and Boro fighting for his services. So, there's hope.
Happy Fox Posted 31 January 2013 Posted 31 January 2013 £5m for a player that can score goals at this level and in the prem is not a bad investment it would be a drop in the ocean to the amount that promotion would bring.
WhenYourSmilingLCFC Posted 31 January 2013 Posted 31 January 2013 On Sky Sports, saying Danny Grahams agent rules out a move to Middlesbrough. ^^ Beat me to it haha
J.Lisemore Posted 31 January 2013 Posted 31 January 2013 Not enough money in it for the agent then, they'll be plenty more takers.
Super_horns Posted 31 January 2013 Posted 31 January 2013 Graham wants to go back to the north east..trouble is Newcastle won't want him now and the Sunderland fans clearly made their feelings known towards him on Tuesday. Boro is the only option left.. I suspect if they go up they'll buy him in the summer. Ofcourse we both hope that doesn't happen!
David Guiza Posted 31 January 2013 Posted 31 January 2013 They are signing Kieran Dyer instead however, the prospect of both him and Woodgate in the same team again must be a physio's nightmare.
Bayfox Posted 31 January 2013 Posted 31 January 2013 They are signing Kieran Dyer instead however, the prospect of both him and Woodgate in the same team again must be a physio's nightmare. Fans nightmare Physios wet dream. Think of the overtime.
FrankieADZ Posted 31 January 2013 Posted 31 January 2013 They are signing Kieran Dyer instead however, the prospect of both him and Woodgate in the same team again must be a physio's nightmare. nightmare....I'd say dream....as there set for life.....or until there released
goose2010 Posted 31 January 2013 Posted 31 January 2013 hahaha agree a deal with sunderland now, wonder what the Sunderland fans will think of this......
