Kitchandro Posted 1 April 2013 Posted 1 April 2013 I disagree, he shouldn't be sacked at all. He should grow some balls and resign, has he got any self respect? I'd say there's more self respect in trying to fulfill your duties, trying hard and trying to prove the doubters wrong. Have you never seen Mike Bassett?
lestajigs Posted 1 April 2013 Posted 1 April 2013 Pointless sacking him at the minute. Can't see where a replacement would come from or what a replacement would be able to do at this stage of the season, may as well give him the last six games to try and turn it around. He hasn't turned it around in 12 games, can't see him doing it now,
MC Prussian Posted 1 April 2013 Posted 1 April 2013 And suddenly, the forum's come alive - strange to see so many regular non-posters appearing out of the woodwork...
Strokes Posted 1 April 2013 Posted 1 April 2013 Can any of the Pearson brigade say why he should stay without using the word 'stability'. Hull, Watford, Palace and Forest have all had new managers within, or since the start of the season, and are all above us. For every SAF, there's a Billy Davies. Yes everyone on here was shouting from the roof tops about how great we were earlier in the season, and yes that does now appear incredibly fickle, but if anything going on two 5 game winning streaks highlights that we're more than capable in this division, and yet we can't even scrape a point against some utter tripe recently. For me it's time for him to go, I can't see us getting another point anytime soon in all honesty, and I can't remember when the last time I felt like that about a City side. What is this brigade? Can i join?

No babs, no.......I can't take anymore of this sh*t, weve become embrarassing and are getting worse!
Kitchandro Posted 1 April 2013 Posted 1 April 2013 Absolutely, is he available? I think he's still at Wirral County.
Ave him with pleasure Posted 1 April 2013 Posted 1 April 2013 Can you hear all the laughter from us so called cod eds at Hull, laughing my balls off at you lot!!!! Up the TIGERS,super nige aint so super after all eh muppets
morris1234 Posted 1 April 2013 Posted 1 April 2013 It's out of everybody's hands, so lets all just chill out and see what happens and enjoy the rest of the bank holiday if we can. I don't like these times as actual debate goes out the window and before anybody can reply most hate posts begin with 'I don't care what so and so says'. So it's pointless Happy Easter people!

Can't see where a replacement would come from or what a replacement would be able to do at this stage of the season, may as well give him the last six games to try and turn it around. A potential replacement could see it has a great opportunity though, 6 games to have a go at play offs and if he fails then he'll get next season. Would probably need to be a manager out of work though, would be a gamble for a manager to leave a post to come here.
Ripperrooblue Posted 1 April 2013 Posted 1 April 2013 I think he's still at Wirral County. Sh*t no chance hell come he then, shame that!

Guest parky0607 Posted 1 April 2013 Posted 1 April 2013 Twist. Weve stuck for long enough now. We could try to salvage something!

Would probably need to be a manager out of work though, would be a gamble for a manager to leave a post to come here. That's the huge problem with changing now. If he is to be replaced, then why limit our choice to the Ian Dowies of this world when in a couple of months they'll be lots more movement. Perhaps we really did sound Adkins out, who didn't go for it as he was in for the Reading job - The rumours that if NP didn't beat Sheff Wed he'd be out were enormous and the situation has only got worse from then My guess is it was Adkins or wait to see who we can get in the summer & as Adkins chose Reading (& their rich new owners along with £23m parachute payment if he doesn't keep them up)... or those rumours were bollox

Because he hasn't really done that badder job sitting back and looking at it objectively, yes current form is terrible. But he got us to 2nd, we're still currently 7th with a shout at the play offs if we can turn it around, if you had offered me this position at this time in the season at the begining ot August, I'd of probably taken it, I certainly wouldn't be crowing for the managers head. I think he's earnt at least the right to finish the campaign off and turn it around, that, and as I posted above, have no idea who we could get in or what they could do with 6 games left and a closed loan and transfer window. But then I'll admit I'm generally in favor of giving any manager a full campaign I'm not really one for all this modern day sack after 67 days bull shit. Is Paolo Di Canio up to much at the minute? Yes Sunderland

weemanDG7 Posted 1 April 2013 Posted 1 April 2013 Just listened to Pearson on the radio. Dead man walking...................bye bye
MC Prussian Posted 1 April 2013 Posted 1 April 2013 More than 2'100 visitors - this forum's going bust soon!!! On a sidenote, I think Nigel Pearson should still be given until the end of the season. I'm not so sure about sacking him, still. I think a team and a club need a more stable approach to surviving and growing in the Championship. We've got a more than decent core of players at this club, let's build on that. Hopefully, all the high earners à la Beckford will be off the wage bill. Time to start without any hindering ballast. Plan for and look forward to next season, folks - I already am.
Big Dave Posted 1 April 2013 Posted 1 April 2013 I have backed Pearson until now, but sadly believe the time is right for him to leave. I have several concerns with his management: 1) There seems to be very limited tactical ability with him 2) Players with a little flair and ability are brought in, and seem to get stifled after being here for several months (Marshall, Knockaert) 3) We have a very good youth squad which never seem to get a look in. They should be given bench time at least to get used to a first team squad (Moore, Schlupp, Hopper, Panayiotyou. 4) The handling of team affairs, i.e. loans out. There have been several through the season, but more recently Moore, Schlupp, St Ledger.
Guest Col city fan Posted 1 April 2013 Posted 1 April 2013 For me, the question is simple. Do you think he'll get us promoted next season? That's the only important question IMO. If you do, keep him, if not, get rid. Either now or at the end of the season. Don't matter.
