Top Five Flurries of Leicester Goals

I literally don't think I've EVER gone as crazy as when Stevie Thommo scored that equaliser!

We went berserk!!

Then cried when they got the late penalty... :o

Exultation and despair in equal measure that day buddy!!

Definately agree with you there Col

As a few people have commented upon, that feeling when Lloyd's goal went in on Tueday was incredible. Made me think of a few more times when we've scored twice in quick succession. When it really changes a game, especially towards the end, it's awesome.

I have probably missed some really obvious ones! Anyway, I would go for:

5) Leeds at home in 03/04. Dickov's goal to make it 2-0 moments after Nalis's wonder strike. I was texting a mate about how good Nalis's goal was and looked up just as Dickov smashed it into the corner.

4) Tuesday night against Bolton. So rare that a decent team has a run like we've had, it seemed almost impossible when the ball went in off the bar rather than back out into open play. For it to be Dyer as well, every time he scores it reminds me of the League One season, especially the start when we suddenly had this ridiculously quick winger who scored goals and then went absolutely mental with the fans, after years of awful, one-paced midfielders out wide in the mid-2000s.

3) Forest at home in the play-off season. Gallagher's free kick followed up by King's sidefoot to make it 3-0. It was edgy at 1-0 but the quality of the second goal and then to add a third on top straight afterwards was brilliant.

2) Forest away (the second Clive Clarke game) - Clemence's winner after Stearman's equaliser. I will always remember their players keeping it in the corner and acting cocky right next to the away end minutes from the end. An incredible turnaround after that.

1) Derby away, April 1998 (just over fifteen years ago now...) - Izzet's flying header to make it 2-0. I think that was one of our recent pinnacles really, along with the 5-2 against Sunderland. It was a pinch-yourself moment - are we actually two goals up after three or four minutes away to one of our local rivals, televised around the world, standing there in bright sunshine?

Would definitely have mentioned that, too.

Remember it vividly cos Earnshaw hit the bar when it was 0-0 or 1-0, right? That made me very edgy! Gallagher's free-kick was not only one of the best goals I've seen at the Walkers/KP, but one of the best free-kicks I've ever seen too.

Plus it was part of my first ever accy win - £80 lol.

Would have also mentioned the 3-3 Arsenal comeback, as already said.

Great thread. You can't beat 2 quickfire goals. Unless you got 3 quickfire goals of course.

Out of the ones mentioned I was only there for number 3) and the Bristol Rovers one, both classics. The two goals in 2 minutes against Forest will always be one of my favourite Leicester moments, probably only behind Howard against Leeds.

I think Huddersfield at home in league 1 we scored 2 in 2 minutes to go from 1-2 to 3-2?

Dyer's shin has come in handy a couple of times :P

Yeh Earnshaw hit the bar in the first half, and we hit the bar in the 2nd when it was still 0-0.

The first half was a bit of a sparring session, Hobbs was having a blinder but it all burst into life after the 1st goal.

I love that video of the 2nd 2 goals on Youtube.

Such a good atmosphere as well (rare!) that day. Could really feel the tension but that 1st goal for us set the tone for the rest of the match.

Yeh it's probably the best game I've been to, the atmosphere's were OK that season in comparison to the last couple but that second half was the most enjoyable 45 minutes I've had.

Here's the best video of the game, I think it had been taken down so I re-uploaded it.

I think it was against Scunthorpe where we scored 4 goals in the first half pretty early on in the 09/10 season if I remember correctly.

That Bristol Rovers one and the Forest one are the two I was at, too. The Bristol Rovers one I was at in the kop with my best mate who supports them. He was smiling his way through the last half hour until I had the last laugh :D

Forest was just nuts. Great day.

When i was a kid, i remember a league cup game against Brentford (i think it was them ) Leicester were losing 2-0 with about 10 mins to go so i turned the radio off thinking we had lost,my dad came in my room just after full time saying we had won 4-2... of course i did not believe him,and it was not till the morning i was amazed to see he was right...anybody remember that game?

I know we didn't win, but anybody remember Bristol City away in 2009/10 I think? They scored, then we kicked off a Dyer scored straight after. Two goals in the last minutes.

I remember, must of been in the 80's, I was in France on a student exchange when we were playing Huddersfield. I managed to get hold of a radio only to hear we were losing two nil with ten minutes left. I turned off and was probably rude to the French until later when one of my mates told me we won 3-2.
