ADK Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 I'm not saying it's right, I'm saying it happens. The directors between when we came out of administration and the Mandaric takeover lost a lot of money (I think they ended up taking about 6p in the £ on shares), so much that probably 100 years of free away tickets wouldn't cover it. Something funny has happened to a good 4-500 tickets, but I think a good 200-250 tickets can be explained away by some perfectly reasonable ticket allocation policies. Surely its the 4-500 tickets people are annoyed about?
Guest ttfn Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Surely its the 4-500 tickets people are annoyed about? I don't think it is. Plenty are moaning about the club's policy of giving free tickets to players. The more worrying part is where anything beyond the first couple of hundred have gone.
WeAreGoingUp Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 But she's been to many more than you, so why should you get a ticket ahead of her? not on about her inperticular, its the players family who dont attend and then all of a sudden decide to take regular fans tickets so they can go to the game... also Nugents mum has missed less than 10 in his career.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Ok, I need two tickets due to two p2 lads missing out today. If anything becomes available my number is 07834487610 and will collect pay and collect whether required. Cheers
crisp packet Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 "It's not what you know? It's who you know". But works both ways ? As I went to 14 away last season . Only 6 brought on my season ticket. Thus i am only p3 ( joke) as I didn't keep stubs ... I did go forest sat , awaiting to see if I am Watford..... My phone has been mad, for days !!! Every plastic fan and his dog coming out the woodwork P.O's eh...
whoareyaaa Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 But she's been to many more than you, so why should you get a ticket ahead of her? Thats probably because she gets free tickets every week if I was given free tickets I would be at every game as well.

WeAreGoingUp Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Thats probably because she gets free tickets every week if I was given free tickets I would be at every game as well. there is this. its a lot to attend regular aways. the furthest i have been this season is Brighton away and that cost a good £150 - £200
Guest ttfn Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Thats probably because she gets free tickets every week if I was given free tickets I would be at every game as well. But for most people, getting to away games costs more than the tickets. I'm not sure how many games you've been to, but assuming she's been to twice as many as you then she has probably spent more money on it than you have. Also, if she's been to every game, and this is the basis on which people want to judge who deserves tickets, why shouldn't she deserve one?
Guest ttfn Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 there is this. its a lot to attend regular aways. the furthest i have been this season is Brighton away and that cost a good £150 - £200 Of which the ticket price was £30. So assuming David Nugent's wife travelled the same distance as you, which is probable, she would have spent £120-170. Not a great deal of difference is there?
WeAreGoingUp Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 basically you deserve to go if you actually attend games, dont matter who you are, where you sit, if you sing or not. if you go to say 15+ home games a year and say at least 5+ aways then i think you can call yourself a true supporter.
Guesty Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 To all the people who missed out -- this story shows you how bad it could be. My mate's wife booked tickets to see The Big Reunion live. For anyone who doesn't know what that is: it's a TV show where shit bands from the 80s and 90s like Steps and Atomic Kitten get back together. They've now taken it to arenas for live concerts, they've only just had a baby and shes been looking forward to this for ages. She's booked tickets for Thursday so he can't even go, watch or listen to the home game either. He's devastated. Haha!!!!!

This season I have only been to about 10 games but Im auguring my point for P1 and P2 that have been robbed of an away ticket not myself. Also Im sure most of us don't have a partner who is earning 10k+ a week so costs of going away will mean f all to her.
WeAreGoingUp Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Some much much more than others. no end of peope on twitter asking for tickets who know next to nothing about the club and never attend.
Kegworthfox Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Lets do it this way I have maybe 1 or 2 spare away tickets if you can prove to me that you are a regular away fan I might sell it instead of sending back to club only genuine fans need apply
Bert Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 no end of peope on twitter asking for tickets who know next to nothing about the club and never attend. How do you know this though?

If I earned £100 million a year and went to every away game would it make me less worthy of a ticket than somebody who worked their nuts off for £10k a year and could only go to 5?

WeAreGoingUp Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 would KegworthFox be willing to sell to two fans? 1 ticket each so that 2 of us wont miss out?
