Maybe no one else had a bid accepted and Huddersfield offered him a decent deal. Also Huddersfield is close to Bradford and he is probably settled there.

BHAFC Braders Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 Burnley fan here - apparently we are trying to get Ashley Barnes and a fee has been agreed with Brighton for somewhere in the region of £800,000. We had three summer bids rejected but Barnes is out of contract in the summer. He has had a medical but Leeds have made a late bit and may get him because they were once "champions of Europe around 1975" Best of luck to him , he's a decent player but he just wanted to get away from some of the boo boys - sods law he'll score against us up there at the end of the month.
