l444ry Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 Nah - just amazed at City fans who love Nige so much they can't see that he is second rate (as are we right now) compared to teams like Stoke. And the strange lengths they go to support this nonsense is hilarious ain't it?
Corky Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 Nah - just amazed at City fans who love Nige so much they can't see that he is second rate (as are we right now) compared to teams like Stoke. Not everyone who doesn't want Pulis is totally happy with Pearson.
kyleolly Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 Maybe Pearson and Pullis could work together, with a mix of Pearsons pre March footballing style and Pullis' thuggery and combative football we'd stroll the league!
Kitchandro Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 I just don't understand how anyone can seriously suggest that Nigel Pearson is a better manager than Pulis. Perhaps these people also prefer the media darling Martinez way of playing. I wonder if Wigan fans are as happy as Stoke's today. There is some utter garbage spouted on here sometimes! I get the impression they are much happier. I haven't heard about many Wigan fans complaining.
Happy Fox Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 If the Thais want to make some wonga then bring home MON guranteed home sell out games.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 Nah - just amazed at City fans who love Nige so much they can't see that he is second rate (as are we right now) compared to teams like Stoke. Maybe your dislike of NFP clouding your judgment a little.....I mean Pulis, really?
Guest Bilo Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 Dropping Pearson for Pulis would be like dumping a girl for having an annoying laugh and replacing her with a Susan Boyle lookalike.
l444ry Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 I get the impression they are much happier. I haven't heard about many Wigan fans complaining. The old chestnut of argument from silence eh? Wigan fans (relegated) happier than Stoke fans (Premier League). I don't think so somehow!!
whoareyaaa Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 Gotta love this delusional tripe......9th after Nige screwed up a chance to get us promoted, young but not that young squad (best players Nuge/Wes?), cut costs but who knows as you admit, greater unity unless you happen to be Danns, Beckford, SSL etc etc and as for good football - we were the team in blue at Walkers in case you got confused. Why have we progressed - we were only shite last season because Nige couldn't improve the situation so he has only gained 2 more points than he failed with last year(and that is one more than Sven) = poor. Feeling we are moving forward is OK but it has to be based on more than a couple of points more than last year or it is surely a moot point You do talk some utter shite don't you seenitall are you a derby fan im sure you are, you are aren't you... your just on a wind up really you love derby.
Fatty Arbuckle Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 At least he plays hoofball effectively which cannot be said of NP. I would take one or two seasons of that type of football to get us promoted from this league and then keep us in the prem then bin him for a manager that plays football the right way, I don't see West Ham fans complaining with that type of football. Excellent point. I was thinking about this driving home earlier and how people slate his style of play, but you've hit the nail on the head saying he does it effectively. We've tried playing hoofball so many times during both of Pearson's times here but always with totally the wrong players for it. Players that are unable to play the ball accurately over long distances to players that cannot jump or control a football! I'm not for one minute saying I want Pulis over Pearson, but for everyone slating his style it really has been effective until the latter half of last season.
Corky Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 You do talk some utter shite don't you seenitall are you a derby fan im sure you are, you are aren't you... your just on a wind up really you love derby. He does think Cloughie Jr is great.
whoareyaaa Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 He does think Cloughie Jr is great. That explains everything, he's just bitter Big Nige isn't at Derby.
Kitchandro Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 The old chestnut of argument from silence eh? Wigan fans (relegated) happier than Stoke fans (Premier League). I don't think so somehow!! Well the generous and appreciative reception they gave their players and manager on the last day was far from silence. Why wouldn't they be happier? They've got an FA Cup to show for this season, what have Stoke got? Sweet FA once again.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 Dropping Pearson for Pulis would be like dumping a girl for having an annoying laugh and replacing her with a Susan Boyle lookalike. Not sure it would be that good even
muzzyatgrimsby Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 Odds of Pulis on BetVictor just went from 66/1 to 33/1 then 14/1 in the five minutes I was looking at it.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 The only good thing Tony Pulis would do for this club is the increased sales in baseball caps in the club shop.
Guest Bilo Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 The only thing Stoke have passed around on the floor recently is that pig's head in the changing room. Pulis can fvck off.
Soar Fox Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 I get the impression they are much happier. I haven't heard about many Wigan fans complaining. That's cause Wigan haven't got many fans.
Bettsj2 Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 There would be zero people on here banging on about us losing the physical battle in a game if Pulis was in charge.
Tielemans63 Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 The only good thing Tony Pulis would do for this club is the increased sales in baseball caps in the club shop. Might sell a few more pairs of tracky bottoms too.
DanTheFox07 Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 For the love of God, No to pulis! who ever started is A moron, and can I point out the fact that we still have a manager as it stand's!
paulsherwood1 Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 It says a lot that Pearson is 75th in the betting for the Everton job! Lots of current championship, league 1 and Scottish managers ahead of him, and Hope Powell as well. If he was half the manager that some people suggest then he would be a damn site higher for sure!
