They already have, but for some strange reason the club aren't using it to manipulate the system as Watford have done.

Agreed - we could just start doing that as well

It's a horrible thing to say, but I really think Forest are putting together a quality side!

People said this in pre-season for the last two years. Ooh they've signed Ishmail Miller and Matt Derbyshire. They'll be ones to watch. Ooh they've signed Simon Cox and Billy Sharp. Would have had them here.

They wont do anything this year. They certainly wont finish above us. I imagine by Christmas their dodgy owners will have done something stupid and they'll be in turmoil again.

But us having rich owners and spending millions was a level playing field?

We weren't trying to get around rules by spending money, they are trying to bend the rules with what they are doing. IF you want a comparison it would be like our owners coming up with a was of getting around FFP by investing money in a different way. Then it would be the same.

Pretty sure people were saying the same thing this time last year.

Any chance we could have a Twitter box on the homescreen that brings up everything '#LCFC', and if anything interesting comes up on that people can drag and drop/click it into this thread or something?

Its anoying clicking on this and reading pages of stuff on FFP and bloody Watford

Do you think we should just close down the whole Transfer Talk threads for this summer?

Yes, we might as well.  We clearly have got no cash (though most other Championship clubs have got no cash - such as Birmingham - and they manage to sign people on 'frees') - but Nige also probably thinks that last seasons squad is good enough !  I reckon it will take the Owners and Fans about a 6/8 weeks to latch onto the fact that he hasn't got a clue (tactically), only knows how to upset players (Danns, Beckford, SSL) or gets them to 'lose form' (Marshall, Drinkwater, Wood), picks players who've just 'lost it' (Konch, Whitbread), or keeps giving his old mates another kick when they don't warrant it (Wellens, Gally), or fails to pick the good youngsters who deserve a (decent) chance (Moore, Taft, Panayiotou, Larrauri, Cain etc).  Then the sh*t will hit the fan and Top and crew will be putting the ad in Football Trader magazine !

I actually only look at FT once a week now - it's just not worth the disappointment of finding we've done bu*ger all this summer.  I guess I'll regularly look again come 3rd August, but I'm not expecting any pleasure in it.

Drat, if only we'd not reached the play-offs last season!

Thing i would like to know is how much would you pay for a 22 year old full italy international.

these signings that watford are doing are just loans like last season, if watford don't go up whats the betting that a few will go back to udinese!!!

if watford fail to go up udinese and granada could buy these players back for a couple of million, another loop hole that might be found to keep within ffp!!

So we could buy Hinckley or a foreign equivalent for a quid, sell them Logan to warm their bench for 25 mill and then go on a bit of a spending spree. And it would all be within FFP?

i was just saying they could sell these players back for a fee at the end of the season

My guess would be Blackpool. Replacement for Baptiste. Northern club etc. Be suprised if its us tbh.

Isn't Bakayogo a left back?

Yeah your right haha. Sure ive seen him play centre back. Must be someone else im thinking of.

He's got the attributes, I'd like him here- he's like Jeff but with the tactical training to be a LB.

Jeff can play up top if we got him in.

Fairly surprised, as it's obvious to everyone what's going on, that nobody from the FA etc has stepped in on this before the season starts.

I'm not. This is the FA/FL, the most useless possible organisations going. Truly pathetic as per.
