Bert Posted 21 July 2013 Posted 21 July 2013 sooooo. Kasper Morgan SSL Shitbread De Laet King James Bakayogo Knockaert Wood Nugent Or, will he play konch in place of SSL?
AKCJ Posted 21 July 2013 Posted 21 July 2013 Or, will he play konch in place of SSL? He might do. But I suspect he's looking for other options. Probably in the loan market.
Tielemans63 Posted 21 July 2013 Posted 21 July 2013 If its Bagayoko and he's a very pacy LB might that suggest that 3-5-2 with wingbacks might be an option this coming season?
Jace Posted 21 July 2013 Posted 21 July 2013 Interesting where this leaves Konchesky we now would have 3 left backs
dave_the_fox Posted 21 July 2013 Posted 21 July 2013 Ronnie Moore the Tranmere manager confirmed that Zoumana Bakayogo was leaving the club at the end of the 2012/13 season.[11] This was confirmed with the signing of left back Evan Horwood from Hartlepool United FC and when he did not return to preseason training in June 2013 [12]. Bakayogo signed for Wigan Athletic in July 2013. From his wiki page & yes I know anyone can update it!
Will1981 Posted 21 July 2013 Posted 21 July 2013 Spells the end for Konch IMO Nobody will buy Konchesky off us as he is on silly money and getting on abit for a left back.
dannythefox Posted 21 July 2013 Posted 21 July 2013 Konch will still be playing first team football trust me!
kingfox Posted 21 July 2013 Posted 21 July 2013 Usain Bolt was running down the great central way earlier.
Corky Posted 21 July 2013 Posted 21 July 2013 Shows what our fans know then as Fernandes did feck all. Criminally underused.
Dan Posted 21 July 2013 Posted 21 July 2013 I actually have a feeling we'll go 3-5-2. I'd be happy with this one.
Libertine Dream Posted 21 July 2013 Posted 21 July 2013 Shows what our fans know then as Fernandes did feck all. Fernandes was a class above whenever he played, he was a man to build a team around, not to bring in another 63000 central midfielders and panic when you realise not all can play
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 21 July 2013 Posted 21 July 2013 Fernandes was a class above whenever he played, he was a man to build a team around, not to bring in another 63000 central midfielders and panic when you realise not all can play Was he though? Don't get me wrong, he was steady enough, had energy in abundance and put himself about - but if you were watching him with no prior knowledge that he'd been at Man City, St. Etienne etc and were watching him based solely on his performances for us (and got told his name was Frank Tetley, or something), there was nothing extraordinary about him. Judging by the amount of clubs he's had he clearly doesn't settle easily, either. Fernandes was good but hardly the complete midfielder everyone reminisces about with such fondness.
Greatness_Since_1884 Posted 21 July 2013 Posted 21 July 2013 Quite a good squad for 3-5-2 now, wing-back probably the biggest thing we needed for it: Schmeichel (Logan) Moore (SSL) - Morgan (Whitbread) - Konchesky (Taft) De Laet (Schlupp) - James (Drinkwater) - Knockaert (Marshall) - King (Danns) - Bakayogo (Dyer) Wood (Waghorn) - Nugent (Vardy) Bit more depth up top and that would be fine. Plus the younger lads like Cain and Blyth to flesh it out a bit. Even Wellens & Gally for more options in the middle if we can't offload them
Grewks Posted 21 July 2013 Posted 21 July 2013 Fernandes was a class above whenever he played, he was a man to build a team around, not to bring in another 63000 central midfielders and panic when you realise not all can play He was as much a class above as Iain hume was during our relegation season. He ran around a lot, but had no end product, often gave the ball away cheaply, and wasn't very creative at all. Amazes me at how highly people rate some players who do nothing.
Kitchandro Posted 21 July 2013 Posted 21 July 2013 Fernandes was quality in about 2 games. He was also awful in as many games as he was good. But anyway fvck that wehey a signing is on the horizon! We need a left back for sure so on the face of it this bodes well. Schlupp looked good at time but as a natural left back he seemed well out of his depth at the back end of the season. He's either a wing back or a winger for me, could play in a 3-5-2 but not in a traditional back 4. As for this bloke I know nothing about him.
Lionator Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 Fernandes was quality in about 2 games. He was also awful in as many games as he was good. In that Derby game when we won 4-0, he was sensational.
AKCJ Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 In that Derby game when we won 4-0, he was sensational. I was going to point out that his assist for the opener was world class.
FrankieADZ Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 infromthetrentâ€@infromthetrent Leicester manager Nigel Pearson told to offload 4 of their highest earners. I can assure Wes Morgan is one of those players. #NFFC #LCFC thought I'd post that here.
Babylon Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 Fernandes was a class above whenever he played, he was a man to build a team around, not to bring in another 63000 central midfielders and panic when you realise not all can play He really wasn't, he played well in a couple of games became massively average and wasn't even getting picked by Sven that much.
whitlock Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 Easy to think Morgan is one of our top earners, but i'd imagine, people remaining from Sven's regime are our top earners - Danns SSL Kasper Konch
Simo86 Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 Easy to think Morgan is one of our top earners, but i'd imagine, people remaining from Sven's regime are our top earners - Danns SSL Kasper Konch Chuck Nuge into that list as well. Its basically just a Forest fan sh!t stirring
Happy Fox Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 Stupid F****t disabled trying to appease there flock of gullible fans.
Fox92 Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 Can see Konchesky being the highest paid, or around that, I bet he's on stupid amounts. Kasper as well... Do we need to get rid of 3 'key' players, though, or is it still balanced if we were to get rid of 2 or 3 squad players ala Futacs, Danns, Gallagher etc? I'd be suprised if Konchesky doesn't end up going, especially with us having a new left full back and the option of Schlupp and maybe even Taft if he doesn't go out on loan? Either way, Morgan won't be one of them as well all know. Forest fans obviously hoping again, and rightly so, after everything Morgan went through when he was there but as Nige said previously we won't be getting rid of 'the very key players' and I imagine to be Morgan at the top of that list. Best centre half we've had in years.
