kingfox Posted 18 July 2013 Posted 18 July 2013 Welcome to foxestalk... So what if me and Ginger didn't rate Jack Hobbs. He wasn't as good as people make out. And frankly I couldn't give a shit that he turned us down and headed to Forest. I'm glad he did, can't put up with his hoofing and no nonsense row Z tactics all the time.

FoxesFan123 Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Is Jay Simpson on his way in? On a free, signed by Pearson at Hull
Callabinho Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 So much for Watford's transfer embargo. They will piss all over the league next season.
Bilbo Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 So much for Watford's transfer embargo. They will piss all over the league next season. Yeah seriously, how are they again allowed to get away with this bullish*t
AKCJ Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 I don't like to bang on about it. Because I sound bitter. But I would genuinely piss myself if Watford miss out again, get docked points and get relegated the next season. Cheating should never prosper, the Football League need to get the balls to stick to their 'brilliant' Financial 'Fair' (couldn't think of a less apt word for it) Play to stop it from happening. It's ridiculous. Absolutely ****ing ridiculous. I'd be livid if we did it. It's just asking to be kicked up the arse by the Football League.
GingerrrFox Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Technically Watford aren't doing anything wrong they are signing a lot of players on free transfers which means they are within FFP. HOWEVER morally what they are doing is wrong and exploiting another way to cheat.
Callabinho Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 It wouldn't surprise me if they are co-owning with udinese, the Italians love that kind of stuff!
GingerrrFox Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 It wouldn't surprise me if they are co-owning with udinese, the Italians love that kind of stuff! Illegal in this country. The whole Tevez saga saw to that. They are just signing players from Udinese and Granada on free transfers and nominal transfer fees. It's an absolute piss take. The Premier League and Football League should bring in a rule that if you want to own a club in English football you cannot own any other professional football club in any country.
Finn Claw II Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Opening myself up for criticism but are Watford / Udinese / Pozzo FC significantly worse than what we and many others have tried to do in the last few years? A rich owner is trying to buy success - For Watford to get these players on the cheap essentially means a cash transfer from Udinese to Watford (the players must have been bought from someone / come from a youth set-up that costs money). The FFP impact is interesting, this should impact Udinese's FFP calcs (albeit for Serie A I assume there are larger deviations, at the very least the UEFA FFP rules apply). I'd say the owners are being clever and bending the FFP rules much like dubious commercial deals to inflate revenue from some of the really big clubs
AnotherShitSeason Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Watford are cheats pure and simple Fairly surprised, as it's obvious to everyone what's going on, that nobody from the FA etc has stepped in on this before the season starts.

I'd say the owners are being clever and bending the FFP rules much like dubious commercial deals to inflate revenue from some of the really big clubs It's completely different because it's no longer a level playing field. You can't buy a club and spend what you want anymore. Watford could sign none of these players if they weren't owned by the Pozzo's because FFP wouldn't allow it. However being aligned with two clubs allows them to get free transfers for good players while everyone else is restricted.
Finn Claw II Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 But us having rich owners and spending millions was a level playing field? I actually agree it is a massive Championship FFP loophole.
Tielemans63 Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 The main thing is that the FA are taking swift action and really showing that they take the implementation of FFP seriously. There is a loophole and they should be doing something about it. Multiple ownership of clubs should be banned and the rule should not apply only to domestic clubs - embarassing.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Fairly surprised, as it's obvious to everyone what's going on, that nobody from the FA etc has stepped in on this before the season starts.Perhaps Udiford or Watinese have bribed the FA aswell ?
yorkie1999 Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Doesn't really matter about Watford. They blew it last season, and if they do the same this season Zola will walk and their owners will flog the club leaving them in the shit.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 20 July 2013 Posted 20 July 2013 Fvcking hate Watford. Not bitter just angry at the way they do their business. FFP should create a level playing field for all clubs. What also annoys me is the fact the football league approved these signings. (With the transfer embargo they have to either allow or deny them)
dannythefox Posted 20 July 2013 Posted 20 July 2013 Fair play to watford there not breaking the rules or they would of got done for it, shame were not clued up like them!
ian_marshall Posted 20 July 2013 Posted 20 July 2013 our owners should buy another club They already have, but for some strange reason the club aren't using it to manipulate the system as Watford have done.
Callabinho Posted 20 July 2013 Posted 20 July 2013 It's a horrible thing to say, but I really think Forest are putting together a quality side!
