Pattinson doing a good Harmison impression.

Could be anything. Generally would look to bat it out but  a wide and a single is easily possible.

Agar, that's a shocker, shows just what the selectors really think of Lyon.

Loving the coverage already, how good does the Skycart look?

Massive surprise to say the least, the fact the poms wouldn't of done much research on him could of given him the nod.

Sloppy from Cook that.

Was, looked like he was thinking about the declaration.

The Cricket Australia National Selection Panel (NSP) today advises that David Warner will be released from the Australian Ashes squad on the VB Tour of England to join the Australia A squad in Africa to play a Zimbabwe XI and South Africa A. Warner will depart later this week and link up with Australia A in Zimbabwe and South Africa."

Fairly even, getting it at two down will be ok.

Might have been a good toss to lose with cloud cover like this.

Thats why I was surprised we didnt have a bowl.

Was a tough call. Don't really want to bat last on this as it could really break up with the sun over the next few days.

Haddin should have taken KP then.

Forecast is the cloud cover is going to break so this afternoon will be ideal for batting.

And as Matt says batting fourth on this (even with Aus having no decent spinner) would be nasty, so batting first seems to be the better choice.

Oh is it? I thought it was going to be cloudy all day today.

Now I've checked again, it does say that. It did forecast sun later today when I checked earlier this morning, though. Looks like a rapid change.

Still, the pitch looks reasonable to bat on for the time being.

Any idea what a par score is at Trent Bridge? I was thinking about 350 should set us up nicely.

1st 333

2nd 302

3rd 275

4th 149

Hence why you can see batting second isn't generally a choice captains want to make lol

149 batting last, if we can put on a big score here then we can take it away leaving Swanny to tear then apart on Sunday

it's a better batting strip than that i reckon.

Even first session, Trott looks very, very secure and could take the game away from us i reckon.

Trott's gone playing at a ball that was three feet wide.

A steady partnership is required here for England.
