FoxyPV Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 That ball was unplayable! Big first hour tonight, I think we will need a 100 plus run lead which is only another 240 so not out of the question. Our tail can bat a bit and on occasions are normally better than our top order WTF Australia?!
StanSP Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Who's 5-fer has been better? Siddle's or Anderson's? Siddle as part of the underdogs amassing 5 good wickets? Anderson's for totally obliterating Australia's with a corker for Clarke?

In county cricket.
StanSP Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Quite amusing that Agar is showing the rest of the line-up above him in the order how to bat! Great showing from the debutant. Really didn't see this. Finn has been expensive. 2 overs, 20 runs. Agar is treating this like a one-dayer!
Swarles Barkley Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Finn you fvcking idiot stop bowling it short. Typical england, always let a late partnership develop. Have bowled excellently then always let ourselves down

Guest MattP Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 This is a nuisance. Good thing is though it's showing how easy batting is once the sun has been on the pitch for a while.
StanSP Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 He was out half an hour ago! Very annoying. I did notice that, and thought straight back to the Bell incident. However, regardless of that incident, you shouldn't be letting a debutant tailender mess you about! Finn is culpable for a lot of these late runs.
purpleronnie Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 we do have a tendnacy to not being clinical at the end, these runs can lose you test matches we have to learn to be nasty and kill matches off.
Leicesterpool Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 We always struggle to get the last man out, Just got in, blimey its good turn around though, the good thing is if we can bowl them out soon at least we've got the time to build a good score.
kingfox Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Robbie Joseph or Nadeem Malik would of got him out by now.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Our best batsmen is a 19 yr old number 11 on debut, not sure whether to laugh or cry
Bert Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Typical. We should be in bat now. He was stumped out but the third umpire screws us again.
Corky Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 This guy is never a number 11. I suppose at 108-4 we might have taken this, but certainly not at 117-9. On the stumping incident, why did they not look for the edge which was being talked about? Haven't seen anything about that since.
Corky Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 I do find our tactics bizarre. We got their top order out by bowling straight on a good length, we get their lower order out by bowling the same so why do we bang in halfway down to a number 11? He's a good player no doubt, but their top players were beaten by skill, not bombardment. Really needs to be sorted out. Not one wicket has come from a bouncer/ short ball.
purpleronnie Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 112 for the last wicket is just ridiculous. but not that surprising, unfortunately, we need a ruthless streak....can you learn to have one....not sure, we're too nice.
Mack Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 I switched it off after England pressed the self destruct button by buffet bowling to a tail ender.
Swalker Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Anyone got a working stream? http://www.coolsport.tv/skysports2.html

It's been bizarre, it's almost like they were trying to show how big, tough and intimidating they were rather than sticking to the plan that was successful. That said it was a shocker from teh third umpire, it was out.
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 You can complain about our bowling all you want, the lads in at 11 and he's on his way to a century. Got to take my hat off to him (even though he was stumped)
