Guest MattP Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 You can complain about our bowling all you want, the lads in at 11 and he's on his way to a century. Got to take my hat off to him (even though he was stumped) It's been absolute awful though, did you just see that picht map they put up to Agar? Pathetic. Number 11 on 88 not out and we haven't tried a single yorker.
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 It's been absolute awful though, did you just see that picht map they put up to Agar? Pathetic. Number 11 on 88 not out and we haven't tried a single yorker. Yes I saw one about 12:45 when I was on lunch we aren't bowling well. But still.....looks like he could score runs with a tooth pick at the minute.
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 said to my mate at work "I'm going home to get my M40 and taking a trip to Trent Bridge, somebody's got to take this lad out" He just turned round and said "He'll probably just hit your bullet for six mate"
Aus Fox Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Never thought I'd say this but I wish Glenn McGrath was still playing. Gaurentee number 11 duck!
Guest MattP Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 The field places have been shocking since he hit 50, more gaps than a Labour party Immigration policy.
Finnegan Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 To be fair, hope he gets his century now. It'll be deserved.
Swarles Barkley Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 ABOUT FVCKING TIME. Well played agar deserved a 100
Guest MattP Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Sensational knock from him. Bet he will never get close to a score like that again, Tino Best all over again.
leicsmac Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 About time. Of course if the 3rd ump had actually done his job properly we would have been batting 150 minutes and 150-odd runs ago.
Aus Fox Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 What an innings!! Deserved a ton, pressure on now cook and root need to put on a big opening partnership
Guest MattP Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 The one down the leg side was the one he had to put away.
Super_horns Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Haven't really got any excuses for a poor batting display now given the performance of Agar - very unlucky!
Corky Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 The pitch should be fine, we gave away some poor wickets in our first innings, cut that out and we should get a lead.
StanSP Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Mr Agar. Sensational. Brilliant from him. Deserved a 100. Every player gets their bit of luck (dropped catches mainly) but that stumping decision was his. Talk about making your mark on The Ashes.
Renart Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Normally, I would never wish an Aussie to get any extra runs but I really did want that boy to get 100. Great knock! Now, let's see what the specialist batsmen can do
Bobby Hundreds Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Great, screwed over by the third umpire again.
Guest MattP Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Third Umpire having an absolute shocker. Clear inside edge on that from Trott.
Finnegan Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Listening to five live and reading the BBC website and they seem pretty convinced it was the right call.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 No clear evidence that he didn't get bat on it. Side on hotspot isn't working, so I don't see how they can reverse the decision.
Corky Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 That was very close to being a no-ball, amazed they didn't look at that more than once. Why didn't they show the side-on view of Hotspot? They do it for every other referral, even when it's obvious that the bat wasn't involved
