Leicesterpool Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 I see we've found Australia's Achilies heal which is there batting.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 I see we've found Australia's Achilies heal which is there batting. I think you will find this was discovered 5 years ago
StanSP Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 Very poor from England. Was expecting much better. Even worse from Australia. Was expecting that much.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 Could of batted alot better but will take it only trail by 140 with 6 still in the shed would of taken that at the start of the play. I think we gave up too many easy runs tho which hurt to an extent. Now off too bed due up in 2 hours for work fml
Matt Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 Shocked at both performances batting wise. Impressed with our bowling so far!
Bert Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 Think the overcast conditions played a big part. Would say we're slightly ahead.
StanSP Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 Think the overcast conditions played a big part. Would say we're slightly ahead. Superb bowling display. England definitely on top, for me, despite the poor batting show. Expect Aus to be bowled out by lunchtime tomorrow.

Guest MattP Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 That ball from Anderson today, jeez, won't be a better one in the series.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 That ball was unplayable! Big first hour tonight, I think we will need a 100 plus run lead which is only another 240 so not out of the question. Our tail can bat a bit and on occasions are normally better than our top order
Bobby Hundreds Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 What an incredible day yesterday and what a start to the series. Think the Aussies will score around 180-220 this innings, it's set up to be a corker!
Guest MattP Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Terrific start to the day, Anderson is absolutely money, throw him the ball and he'll get someone out.
Guest MattP Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 This is sensational from Anderson, pure brilliance.
James. Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 There won't be a fifth day at this rate! There may not even be a fourth which is bloody annoying given I have 2 tickets. I was sort of hoping for a stubborn Australian revival given the improvement in conditions. On the plus side we are absolutely dismantling them which is great to see. I think we'll score a load more runs in our second innings than our first. If we can somehow bat through most of today and tomorrow maybe I'll see some cricket after all. Hmm...
StanSP Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Superb bowling display. England definitely on top, for me, despite the poor batting show. Expect Aus to be bowled out by lunchtime tomorrow. Nearly there. England to race to about 250-300, get a lead of 350+. Finished by Saturday lunchtime. Gutted for people who have tickets for the weekend!!
