If it's true there's almost nothing to criticize about this signing unless he turns out to be awful, which literally nobody here can say for sure now.

Peak age, reportedly quick, did fine last year and deserves a step up, will probably cost peanuts and is somewhere we need cover - regardless of whether or not Konchesky is staying or going.

Mack will be ecstatic

It's a decent signing, and we needed genuine competition and cover at LB.

However we need a central defender, a central midfielder and a striker much more urgently in my opinion.

Are you for real... We have ZERO money, we have to sell to bring anyone in & those coming in must be less than those going out... And their wages need to be a good chunk less.

If we can offload Wellens, Danns, SSL, Gallagher & maybe Konchesky... We might be able to bring another couple of free signings in too. If we can't then we won't

We have lots of money, it's just FFP that stops us spending it.....

Correction - our owners have lots of money, it's just FFP that stops them lending it to us at 8% interest.

They could also lend us the fine for overspending?!

Well, I said last summer I wanted us to sign a new left full back. Konchesky has had a good career, but his legs/pace is going now, some of the games last season highlighted that. So, pleased we've got a new left full back in, don't have anything negative to say because I've never seen him play.

ZOUM ZOUM ZOUM, EVERYBODY SAY BAKA-YOGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Zoum zoum zoum zoum i want you in my room. Well spent the night together from now until forever 😈

If we sign him we could do a Wham version song,Wake me up Bakayogo.

Rubbish.

I'll be in charge of the official song thank you very much.

Last time we signed a rapid left-sided out-of-contract player from the division below in his mid-20s, it worked out pretty well.

Hopefully this chap will put in a shift like Lloyd over the next few years too.

Some of our fans moaning already. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. Can't have it both ways people.

Typical Pearson signing, a player currently playing his best football with his best attribute being a quality we lack in and a bargain free transfer being at the end of his contract.

He sounds half decent and people have been crying out for a new left back. Although Schlupp has shown some promise in that position he was only ever a deputy for me. He needs to be developed as a striker or winger, not a left back. If we are moving to wingbacks as an option next season then this lad sounds ideal, although if Tranmere fans say he can't cross then that's a slight worry. Dyer is the pits at crossing and De Laet for all his attacking promise is guilty of not being able to get the ball across to our attackers. But it's a start.

Before we celebrate too much, two things

1. Has anyone ever actually seen him play?

2. He was player of the year (and I mean this with the greatest level of disrespect) at Tranmere.

correction. he was the voted greatest player at tranmere, alongside players player of the year, alongside being in team of the year in league 1.

Under one of the following pseudonyms I assume

Simon Francis, Rob Jones, Harry Maguire or Charlie Daniels.

I still manage to mix him up with Bagayoko. lol

If anyone needs a translator, I can take care of his French tweets.

6ft is also quite tall for an outside defender - can he play CB, too?
