MC Prussian Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 3. Just because he has pace does not make him decent. Remember Kaebi and van Aanholt? Maybe, maybe not... Kaebi was one of many transfer blunders in past years, but van Aanholt was decent for us (albeit a little lightweight on the defensive side).
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 If this is going ahead, it's win-win. Free transfer, low wages, area where cover is needed. Even if he's not great, can't really lose
Outfox the Fox Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 I still manage to mix him up with Bagayoko. If anyone needs a translator, I can take care of his French tweets. 6ft is also quite tall for an outside defender - can he play CB, too? Sky Sports Football Yearbook (last year's, admittedly of course) has him down at 5'9" (and 10st 8lbs - so not even 'heavy' enough for a 6 footer) - I doubt if he has grown 3" in a year, especially as he's nearly 27 - that's Stringer again for you ! They also say that he has only played Number 3 for Tranmere.
LcFc_Smiv Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 There is something exciting about a relatively unknown Pearson signing.
Adster Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 There is something exciting about a relatively unknown Pearson signing. Chill out mate. Just remember Franck Moussa and Tom Kennedy. Very good relatively unknown Pearson signings!!

Did it say only played number 3 or only played left back?
NGoloMode Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 He played well as a left midfielder a few times too apparently. Doesn't sound like a centre-back to me.
Bert Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 I wonder if he'll play on Saturday. He might even play tomorrow or Wednesday!
filbertfoxy00 Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 This geezer has been in the game since 2004 and has done the square root of feck all other than play 122 times for the world beaters that are Tranmere Rovers. This signing is the entire reason we are going to sruggle this season and will be in a relegation battle from the off.
Grey Fox Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 DEFENDER Zoumana Bakayogo has turned himself into a “cultured, attacking left-back†with Tranmere this season according to manager Ronnie Moore, who is keen to keep the Frenchman at Prenton Park. While Moore says work on squad-building plans for 2013-14 is made difficult by uncertainty about which division the League One leaders will be competing in, he has no doubts about wanting Bakayogo to sign a new contract. “If we do go up, Zoum is the type of player you need to have in your side because in the Championship, fullbacks with pace are what you need,†Moore said. The 26-year-old, a fringe player in recent years, made himself a permanent fixture in the side this season. “Zoum’s been fantastic,†Moore said. “His improvement in such a short time is very pleasing. He was a bit erratic when I first came to the club last March. His crosses were going behind the goal and into the stands. He’s always had the pace but now he looks like a cultured, attacking left-back.†http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/sport/liverpool-football/2013/01/31/tranmere-rovers-manager-ronnie-moore-eager-to-keep-cultured-defender-zoumana-bakayogo-99623-32713650/
Jace Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE Can't remember so much anticipation about a new signing since Beckford signed on transfer deadline day

Legend_in_blue Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 I wouldn't get too excited about a player who has only just begun to shine in league one. At least someone is coming in though. Hopefully,
lgfualol Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 Can't remember so much anticipation about a new signing since Beckford signed on transfer deadline day WE'RE GOING TO WIN THE LEAGUE
Zingari Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 He played well as a left midfielder a few times too apparently. Doesn't sound like a centre-back to me. No , it sounds like an African tribal dance.

Collymore Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 One things for certain we will be frightening from the wings next season. Knocky and Dyer swapping positions with De Laet and yoyo charging forward like lightening bolts. When the full backs are on their last legs you bring Jeff on to finish them off. Konchesky was a really big weak link last season and I am glad Nigel is acting on it.
Ric Flair Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 I wouldn't get too excited about a player who has only just begun to shine in league one. At least someone is coming in though. Hopefully, Correct, it's a case of wait and see. Very similar in profile to Lloyd Dyer who has done fairly well for us over the last 4 seasons, albeit with limited technical ability. Sadly we haven't the bunce right now to make more high profile signings, but perhaps we don't need to? It hardly worked for us when we had the spending power.

Nickfosse Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 Chill out mate. Just remember Franck Moussa and Tom Kennedy. Very good relatively unknown Pearson signings!! I thought that Sousa signed Moussa?
FoxesFan123 Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 No Pearson signed Franck Moussa. He also signed Nicky Adams.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 Chill out mate. Just remember Franck Moussa and Tom Kennedy. Very good relatively unknown Pearson signings!!I thought that Sousa signed Moussa? Nigel wanted Moussa before he left, but when Sousa took over he signed him for us.
