davieG Posted 27 July 2013 Posted 27 July 2013 Am I the only one who thought we played 451 second half?
Callabinho Posted 27 July 2013 Posted 27 July 2013 Danns and Knockaert were awful! I thought generally we were okay, conceded a poor corner and Falcao's goal was sloppy too. Can't read much into it, Tuesday will tell us more!
Kitchandro Posted 27 July 2013 Posted 27 July 2013 Am I the only one who thought we played 451 second half? No.
lcfcnugent Posted 27 July 2013 Posted 27 July 2013 James, kasper and de laet only positives. He wasn't alone but danns was clearly not bothered about impressing, awful. Oh well not going to get worked up at this stage. Hopefully we'll sneak a couple of loan players in once all the prem squads are back from their tours. What you on about, danns had one off the few shots on target.
Callabinho Posted 27 July 2013 Posted 27 July 2013 Personally don't think he knows his best formation or best eleven. James and Marshall were our two best players. Drinky was steady. Waghorn, Dyer and Danns were an embarrassment. Dyer makes it so hard for anyone to work with at times. Whitbread needs to stop trying to get in front of his man, that's where he comes unstuck. Waggy an embarrassment is slightly over the top, Knocky on the other hand was useless.
MPH Posted 27 July 2013 Posted 27 July 2013 Why are we giving game time to players who will not be involved this season? Gallagher may as well pull his pants down and show the crowd his arse. Danns would have a better pass completion rate if he was made to play blindfolded. I doubt either will play once the season starts, so why waste valuable warm up games on them? Shop window?
kingfox Posted 27 July 2013 Posted 27 July 2013 Drinky was steady. He was bloody crap, let's shield the ball and pass it back, that's all he is about. Him and Danns are embarrassing.
Jordan Posted 27 July 2013 Posted 27 July 2013 The game wasn't all that terrible. Marking in a 3-5-2 is a lot different to marking in a 4-4-2, and it looked like our CB are still working out how to adjust to that based on Falcao's goal. I'm pretty sure he was Wes's responsibility there but the CBs just looked confused. There wasn't too much difference between the 4-4-2 and the 4-3-3 that Pearson used last season, and I think part of the reason why City struggled towards the end last season was that they had been "found out" by other teams. I didn't see too many egregious positional errors today that would be much different than the normal mistakes that are made by most teams in the early going of the season.

THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 27 July 2013 Posted 27 July 2013 This afternoon I fantasised about Pearson coming out at halftime in nothing but white socks and trainers and a minging santa hat. I don't remember any of the second half
artursteppe Posted 27 July 2013 Posted 27 July 2013 one question does pearson know his best 11 ????? as marshall , nocky, dyer should of started !!!!! Dyer, Knockaert, Danns, Schlupp at left back, King were all crap. did you mean should have started, wtf does should 'of' started mean.
Ashley Posted 27 July 2013 Posted 27 July 2013 He was bloody crap, let's shield the ball and pass it back, that's all he is about. Him and Danns are embarrassing. Whilst you have the ball the opposition can't hurt you. Sometimes doing the simple thing is the best thing.

Gallagher may as well pull his pants down and show the crowd his arse. Danns would have a better pass completion rate if he was made to play blindfolded. I doubt either will play once the season starts, so why waste valuable warm up games on them? Quite simply because if we can't get rid of them, we can't bring anyone else in and they will have to be used in the event of injuries and suspensions. They have to be fit and ready
Babylon Posted 27 July 2013 Posted 27 July 2013 wtf does should 'of' started mean. It's Leicester for "should have".
coolhandfox Posted 27 July 2013 Posted 27 July 2013 As expected, was always going to be tough against a good side in hot conditions, good to get some more fitness work in.
kingfox Posted 27 July 2013 Posted 27 July 2013 Whilst you have the ball the opposition can't hurt you. Sometimes doing the simple thing is the best thing. He does it all the time though. One negative t**t he is. Diabolical player Ashley, he pisses me off so much. Yes it was a friendly, it's nothing to get worked up about, but the way they played second half was like schoolboys, pure laughing stock.

chris_lcfc_85 Posted 27 July 2013 Posted 27 July 2013 I actually thought drinkwater had a decent game, always wanting the ball and worked very hard. He links play very well. People comparing him to danns are deluded

kingfox Posted 27 July 2013 Posted 27 July 2013 I actually thought drinkwater had a decent game, always wanting the ball and worked very hard. He links play very well. People comparing him to danns are deluded Always wanting the ball, are you serious. The guy is a puff, shield it and pass it back. Doing the simple thing is the best thing, you don't see James & King turning back on themselves and shielding it nearly every time. Him and Danns are fookin crap, if I had a car I would happily drive them all the way to Penzance and leave them there.
TrentFox Posted 27 July 2013 Posted 27 July 2013 It always makes me smile how we all perceive games so differently. Thought Whitbread played well, although I'd play him in the centre of a back three rather than on his natural left. I also thought Marshall was good - positive and influential. Am I totally on my own with that ?
chris_lcfc_85 Posted 27 July 2013 Posted 27 July 2013 Positives were the back 3 including whitbread. Some people just don't like him for some reason! Also James and drinky did well and vardy does look better plus de last was excellent. Negatives were basically our creative players, knocky, dyer and Marshall not great
cjslcfc Posted 27 July 2013 Posted 27 July 2013 Diabolical? I get the feeling people forgot his importance/impact during our patches of good form last season. Like many who hadn't experienced a full intense season he just suffered from burnout. Keeps us ticking
