Starkwell Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 and just to round of a great day, i've just noticed Cov lost to Crawley.....
EnglishOxide Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 Hopefully Vardy plays and cuts in from the left this season as that is where all his Fleetwood goals came from. The problem last season is that he was barely afforded that opportunity as Dyer was constantly bombing forward.
Bert Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 There's no excuses for how we played in the first half though, so big credit for the lads for dragging themselves into a solid second half performance.
Vale Blue Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 Great result and a nice start to the season. Lets hope everyone stays together and behind the team, rather than over reacting when we win or lose. It will be very difficult for LCFC to get into the play offs so lets just enjoy it and see what happens. COYB!
whoareyaaa Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 don't want to put a downer on things but I can't see Waghorn being with us much longer (as much as I like the lad) and I would rather us fill that bench space with Knockeart or Danns instead. If we can sell him maybe can we can bring in another defender for cover.
Guest shearfox Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 There's no excuses for how we played in the first half though, so big credit for the lads for dragging themselves into a solid second half performance. I'm usually optimistic but even after that first half I thought we were doomed, second half proved me completely wrong and Pearson and the lads did exactly what was required. Fantastic to see us manage to come from behind away...
Munshi Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 I keep watching Vardy's goal with a rapey grin on my chops. THAT'S THE GUY FROM THE YOUTUBE VIDEOS WE SIGNED FROM FLEETWOOD. G'won lad. Where you watching it mate?
GingerrrFox Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 Told the majority of meat faces on here that we didn't play that badly in the 1st half. Looked much better when we decided to really go for the game and attack with aggression and vigor in the 2nd half. 3-5-2 is the future, we looked like we had more men on the pitch and Mbrough just couldn't find anyone to pass to in space.
kingfox Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 I wonder if Kingfox still wants to see Drinkwater fooked off. Made us tick second half. One goal doesn't change opinions. He might of improved second half, but first half a couple on here said he was poor(whole team was probs poor, but your talking Drinky) So yeah, he has to have some consistent games first, for me to change my mind again.
wattolcfc Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 don't want to put a downer on things but I can't see Waghorn being with us much longer How is this a downer? Hardly set the Championship alight in recent years...
marbelladave Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 Excellent result, very pleased. Especially pleased for Drinkwater and Vardy, they were both important in our great start to last season, maybe an omen......

GingerrrFox Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 What a meat face! Don't get me wrong we weren't great. But people calling for the managers head etc were way off the mark, we just looked nervous in posession. The shackles were cut off in the 2nd half.
Bettsj2 Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 I fvcking knew we'd win that. Well done Nige and the boys!!

kingfox Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 Highlighted bit shows what a fickle ming you are. You don't have to rate every player.
Kitchandro Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 Highlighted bit shows what a fickle ming you are. It's not fickle to change your opinion when things have changed, that's just reasonable. If Drinkwater went on to have a great season and he kept slating him he'd just be a stubborn tosser.

Not disputing that, but he's changed his mind on him more times than I've changed my boxers (which I do everyday).

He was one of our better players throughout the game. St Ledger on the other hand....
Unabomber Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 You don't have to rate every player. Did you rate him for the first half of last season when he ran the show for us?

If Drinkwater went on to have a great season and he kept slating him he'd just be a stubborn tosser. Thank you. And Michael if you bothered looking at my comments and ratings when Drinkwater played well last season, then you would see I have said positive things about him in the past. I've said time and time again, he is too inconsistent in my opinion, and when bad he is very bad, and when bad his game frustrates me. When consistent and playing well, I will praise him like I did last season. So there you go
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 if you bothered looking at my comments Christ, I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
bjblyth Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 Where are all the idiots who were giving me stick in the Boro Match Thread before the game!? Keep away from me you negative bastards and UP THE CITY! Oh and well done Jamie Vardy for silencing those morons that doubted you today!
