Kitchandro Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 I hope there's no truth in this. George Newall â€@_georgenewall2h Leicester fans singing about the kids that got killed in the fire, no need, scummy bastards #lcfc #dcfc There were two in front of me started singing about it, and also the copper who got killed. It didn't catch on much thankfully but it's a shame it was loud enough for the Derby fans to hear.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 Derby lads came over giving it the biggun and one of their lads got flattened. So their lot started crying and 2 or 3 of them got arrested. Then one came over to us and called us scum and got decked and then got told "don't wear the gear if you can't handle it"
pleatout Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 How has football violence caused all seater stadiums? Surely that was Hillsborough? Which had nothing to do with FV? Fences are also still used over Europe to this day, yet people aren't being killed. Fair point the fences didn't help, but neither did overselling the section. Any chance you might do a bit of reading before posting? Clearly you have no idea what you are talking about and yet seem to feel that you can and should post your opinions on the causes of the Hillsborough disaster.
MooseBreath Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 Whether it's after a game or in town at the weekend..do you seriously see this sort of thing as acceptable? Do you also think it's common sense that for a "geezer" needs to attack others..for no justifiable reason,to fulfil his excitement? In fact..don't bother replying,as people who make comments like yours have nothing worth paying attention to. . I'll reply whenever I want as far as you're concerned. Do I think a little bit if fighting is acceptable? I don't really care as long as innocent bystanders aren't being harmed. The underclass can scrap it out amongst themselves all day if that's what they want to do with their lives. If they get some oddball enjoyment out of it then good for them. Not my scene but who am i to tell others what they can and can't enjoy? Fights happen all the time anyway. Even if I found it totally unacceptable they're still going to happen. As for geezers needing excitement, has it come to this? Dry your eyes mate, and let's push things forward.
Walshy5 Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 Also was anyone drinking in the crown and cushion before the game? Some twats smashed up the bogs! Hand dryers in the sink and pipes riped off the walls! Complete and utter neanderthals giving our fans a bad name and possiblly making other clubs reduce our ticket allocations as a result!

Wether it's acceptable or not is it's a fact of life, people will fight wherever and whenever they like, and the violence used on occasions like yesterday are the the lower end, alot of shouting, pushing, and the odd punch thrown, the more serious violence is the organised violence which will take place away from the grounds, and police. Some people see it as mindless and others see it as a bit of fun, excitement. But nowadays it never really gets out of hands, more hand bags hiding behind police, which ok isn't acceptable to some, but Leicester hooligans don't carry and use Stanley knives anymore, so some find it irritating but the violence used is minor.
AKCJ Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 Philpott and his petrol can...... sorry but lol What the **** is funny about that?

No excuse for any of it, really. There is no distinction between silly Leicester fan, and silly Derby fans.

Monsell1976 Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 No excuse for any of it, really. There is no distinction between silly Leicester fan, and silly Derby fans. Your right there is no excuse for it,what I'm getting at is no matter how much people call them names and condem them, it will happen no matter what, always will. It's not just a football thing, it's a culture thing, it depends on where you are from, and where you are brought up, and your age group, but this sort of behaviour will always be around. It is not unique to Leicester or derby but society as a whole. My other point is the level of violence at football matches nowadays is very minor compared to years ago, and again reflects the culture in some of the younger element in society, the asbo generation in society that cause criminal damage and make a nuisance of themselves, causing people to feel intimidated, without actual using violence towards a person.
DennisNedry Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 I was to the left of the goal, quite high up and I definitely heard something along the lines of 'you're derby county, you burn all your kids'. Wouldn't join in with that sort of song but it didn't shock or offend me tbh.

I was there. Real shame what happened there actually - it was decent last year but think it got a bit out of hand, there's no way they'll let us back there again.
Bettsj2 Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 Hmmmm There's no doubt its stupid and mindless violence and vandalism has absolutely no place in civilised society, but in all honesty, i'd fvcking love a decent tear up!!!!
Rich Fox Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 And I go away games to sample local ale in different towns and chat to the locals to get there perspective on the game. This sort of thing puts me off going.
Renart Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 Geezers need excitement... common sense. It's a little bit of handbags between some chavvy little underclass vermin. Who cares? Happens every Friday and Saturday night in every town centre in the land. Whether it's after a game or in town at the weekend..do you seriously see this sort of thing as acceptable? Do you also think it's common sense that for a "geezer" needs to attack others..for no justifiable reason,to fulfil his excitement? Disclaimer: for those of you who don't get it I was being ironic (fighting is really bad kids, as is playing with matches and watching internet porn on your dad's computer)
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 Walking back t the car with my wife and son my Leicester top clearly encouraged a shout from behind of "we hate ****ig Leicester scum" or similar. I turned around and three 'yuffs' stood there, the offending young chap clearly didn't expect an old man with his family to turn and stare. So next I .............walked away because fighting is stupid and they were just silly kids. If you can defuse the situation and get away is always option. Well done, and you were absolutely correct. Kids can't handle it. and try and engage, which merely shows up their mentality, and lack of discipline. Ten out of ten to you sir.

Yes, you are quite right, and having been a PCSO for a good number of years, I have often come up against such people, and had to deal with them in various ways. The problem is, that little things like this, can become bigger, and get out of hand. eg. Things could escalate next season as a result of a few idiots thinking it big to engage yesterday.. A real person is one who will ignore it, and walk away, showing contempt for such childish behaviour.
DanSimp89 Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 Its like with everything in football, things that are not acceptable in society are overlooked in football. People that chant abuse of any kind and commit violence, are using the fact that they are just a number in thousands of football 'fans'. Thats how they get away with. In my opinion they are cowards hiding. Iv never understood the violence and abuse as football always contridicts itself at some stage. People treat it like a religion. Its a sport!!!!!

dayday Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 If two sets of rival fans want to kick the shit out of each other then so be it. I have been following Leicester since1979,so football hooliganism to me is nothing new...you will always get it regardless,as long as its rival fans who want a brawl and not attack innocent bystanders so what.
Ashley Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 I have to say I was in the escourt yesterday and we were treated like animals by the police(some of who were Leicestershire Constab) there was maybe one or two decent ones who had a laugh. After the game we were walking back to the station.. Two lads(Derby fans) started to walk alongside our escourt they didn't say anything or make any gestures towards the escourt however two coppers peeled off and started to walk towards them the lads jogged about 10 yards in front which made the coppers run after them. They went for one of the lads who dodged one of the coppers attempts to grab him, coppers went again to grab the same lad dodged the second time, third time three coppers jumped on him had his hands around his back then wrestled him to the floor. Like I said previously these lads didn't do anything wrong Derby or not the Coppers were bang out of order. To the lads who were singing you burn our own kids in the eascourt only about 4 or 5 have a serious word with yourselves. To the lad who was ripping that copper about Uniform dating LOL
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 The sound of someone getting slapped round the face sometimes sounds a bit like my arse getting slapped, to such a degree sometimes I don't know which is which.
