Apart from the fact that it doesn't . Arsenal have won the arse end of nothing for over a decade I believe?

Many Arsenal fans are sick and tired of Wenger's deluded rhetoric. And in Ozil, it looks like they've spent 40 million on a player who couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag.

Munich are and were in a different class. All Wenger's bullshite is just that.. And highly transparent.

Fine then, Jose Mourinho. His trying to get in to everyone else's head is awfully poor but he very rarely puts the boot in to his own team and he's always got an excuse at hand.

Zlatan describes working with him as being transformed from a cat in to a lion, that Mourinho had an immense way of making them feel unbeatable.

It's all psychology. Almost no top manager will come out and say "this lot are just a better team than us", especially not talking as one champs league knock out side about another.

It'd be hugely small fry and that isn't Wenger's style.

I'd be amazed if any top manager is phased by a single comment from other managers these days to be completely honest. I'd never read into what gets said to the media 99% of the time.

But with Mourinho it's consistently worked. With Wenger it hasn't. I always see Mourinho as a great thinker. His psychology, coupled with his other management skills, tactical awareness and an eye for the right player in the right position have made him one of the most successful football managers of recent times. Wenger is transparent. When HE says that his team is better, you think 'yeah yeah', ok... Whatever...

With Mourinho, it's backed up with success, recent success and lots of it.

How the **** do you know it's worked or not? Do you have a direct line to the Arsenal dressing room? They've never seemed to be out of sorts and losing faith in themselves or their manager so there's obviously something right there.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone accuse Wenger of being unable to manage players, he's probably one of the best at it in the world.

Whatver his failings be they tactically, in the transfer market or whatever else, he seems pretty good with people by all accounts.

Absolutely, the media love to build it up but in reality it means nothing.

Wenger or Ferguson will be preparing teams and tactics on a Friday, not listening to Mourinho telling a load of English journos so far up his arse you can't see them some bollocks about nothing.

What are you banging on about?

Worked... As in SUCCESS..

Wenger can come out with all the media psychology he wishes.. But he's won nothing in over 10 years!

Many Arsenal fans are sick of it.. They are fed up with a club who seems to think that Champions League football (with little hope of winning it) is fine. They want trophies. They expect trophies.

As I said (is it so hard to get?), Mourinho's psychology is backed up with trophies. Wenger's comes across as ridiculous. Not only to me, but to many loyal Gunners.

He'd be better to occasionally admit defeat, gracefully and with humility. Rather than to make completely transparent excuses.

IMO.

This doesn't mean to say I don't think Wenger is a good football manager. It's to take issue with you saying that what he says 'works'. Clearly it hasn't for a very long time, if trophies are the yardstick to be judged upon.

Like I said earlier, I really don't think you can read too much into any of it. I think you've got to be pretty naive to buy into anything Mourinho says now. Media interviews really are small-fry and they're only made out not to be by the media themselves.

Regarding psychology in football (sport per se)...crucial...

Regarding media interviews...I think fans watch these and listen to what's being said (players and coaches are given media training from a very early age)..

Hearing Wenger last night made me cringe.

When I hear Mourinho, I usually nod in his direction, or sometimes laff.

Whatever, it makes me warm to him because he does it brilliantly.

Most importantly though, his image is backed up by substance.

Some of the press don't strike me as actually being all that bothered about the football, they'd rather focus on "mind games", training ground bust-ups, what it said on Twitter, what nightclub said player is falling out of.

Post match interviews, the better question is what the **** you're talking about? I've literally no idea but then that's my own fault for even engaging you in the first place, I'm well aware you're a simp.

Bottom line - Wenger doesn't care what fans think, he cares what his players think.

His squad psychology is obviously not the cause of his barrenspell, the fact he hasn't built a side good enough is. You don't buy good players, you're not going to win this league.

The end.

A lot of them are shit stains on the sport to be honest.

Of course they do, it's what they like to do. One of the reasons I don't read newspapers, because 99% of it is rubbish.

Hate it when someone says to me "did you see that in the paper"... More than likely, it's rubbish. Media love twisting everything, and it influences people. Expect a big story just before we go to the World Cup.

Your arrogance really does know no bounds 'Finners'. I knew what I was talking about and if you didn't, you need to read more carefully.

It don't bother me a jot if you're some sort of FT legend. If I don't agree with you, I'll tell you so.

I was saying that why can't Wenger just admit he wasn't good enough, or the opposition were better on the day? Instead he comes up with an excuse.

Psychology is important but I'm sure the Arsenal team know that Bayern are the better side.

I knew what you were saying. According to some, Wenger shouldn't be expected to simply say Bayern were the better side, as this shows some kind of weakness.

I disagree.. showing humility in sport, as in any walk of life, isn't weak. Actually, coming out with some feeble excuse for not performing is, in my eyes, weaker.

People say that these media interviews don't matter. I think they do. Hearing Wenger last night made me think less of him. These interviews are not only relevant for the players. I would suspect that many Arsenal fans thought the same. Fans matter, or at least they should.

Barcelona are so frustrating to watch. Attempting to get players booked and rolling around like they do at at times gives football a bad name. It's a shame because they're such a talented side too.

Hoping Man City can do something here.

How the hell is that not a penalty? Then he has the cheek to send Zabaleta off for being angry at him for being terrible at his job.
