All three English sides beaten 2-0 so far. Appalling result from Man Utd and I don't actually fancy them to get through this either, they'll go 2-0 up and concede late again.

I honestly do wonder if they're trying to get Moyes the sack. They were beyond appalling. So many basic errors, giving the ball away left right and centre.

Got to feel for those who traveled for that.

The stabbings in turkey someone said had happened.

They get away every time if it happened here we would get banned.

I don't think they've got away with it each time. Perhaps they need more severe punishment (agreed) but they haven't got away with it.

Not ONE English team has scored in the last week of European football. Man Utd, Arsenal, Spurs, Man City, Swansea all drawn a blank.  Wonder if Chelsea can buck the trend.

Are they actually trying to get him sacked?

Can't blame them, used to Ferguson and his trophies & winning mentality, excitedly wanting the next bloke to take them further then in walks Moyes with his LMA Manager of the Year 2012 award.

hyssel was an accident no one ment anyone to die.

The moment you pull a knife you mean it.

We got a total ban for 5 years they have had club bans.

So you can blame a whole nation for an accident.

Yet pulling a knife pre meditated is ok.

You carry a knife you intend to use it. Its not picking one up off a table it's ment.

The lives at the hysell were lost in a crush an accident no intent like hillsborogh.

They should get a country ban for ten years and a club ban for 20 years.

Carrying a knife is not an accident and what have they got fvck all 1 or 2 games behind closed doors or a season ban.

Typical eufa like the stance on racism fvck all the fa give out harder bans.

Eufa do fvck all for us but would love to bury us.

Stan sp don't get me started on this uefa has a record of not supporting it's racism rule's

And not supporting us with our black players.

our league gives out stiffer punishment for racist behaviour.

UEFA do fvck all.

The biggest problems with racism is the governing body as they don't support there own rules.

In general you're right about UEFA paying lip service to fighting racism, but that has nothing to do with the stabbings of Leeds fans in 2000 or Heysel for that matter. From what I've read about the stabbings in 2000 it didn't actually have anything to do with Galatasary fans, I thought it was Leeds lads being in a particularly rough area of the city at the wrong time.

Disgrace to England with that performance, especially coming from the "champions"!!

They were clueless. They didn't seem interested or motivated. I realise that the squad is lacking talent in some areas but to go from Champions to such a pathetic showing in all four competitions in less than 12 months.... baffling.

Robbie Savage (tactical genius) slated Man City for being negative against Barcelona and said that Man United would never play that way against them.

No, just Olympiakos, Robbie.

I have to say I fear for English football, and I think the last week has backed it up. We've seen the Country's best team absolutely dominated by Barcelona and now United lose to a pretty 'average' (I use that term lightly) Oympiakos team. We are way behind the likes of Germany and Spain, and will continue to be for some time until someone up in the authorities actually realises.

Roy Keane has just hit the nail on the head. I like Keane, and regardless of whether you do or don't you cannot argue with what he's just said... "We have been brainwashed by the Premier League that it's the best in the world. Nonsense. It's the best brand."... That is so true.

I don't know what else to add. We'll be on the first plane home in the summer, although we probably already knew that anyway.

Were way behind the TOP teams in Spain and Germany, but im not so sure the rest of the league is as competitive as the Premiership with the likes of Everton and Spurs for example.

Regardless of whether our league is the best/not the best etc, the Man Utd performance was utterly crap. Back 4 were all individually and collectively terrible, Cleverley and Carrick totally overrun in midfield and gave the ball away numerous times, and it would appear Rooney's 300k per week contribution is to wave his arms around and shout at the referee.

lol that's astonishingly poor. Best league in the world? Sorry, that's history now.

I can see Chelsea making it seven. Gala will scrape a 1-0 tomorrow but in fairness I fancy Chelsea to go through. Just me who doesn't think Man Utd will turn this around either?

I could usually see United turning it around with spawny win but not now. Amazing how the fear factor around Old Trafford disappears so quickly!

Barca and Bayern are the two best teams in the world and would be expected to win. They beat teams in their league every week. Does that make their leagues poor?

Bayern are 19 points clear in Germany ffs, that's the ultra competitive Bundesliga btw, for all you wondering.

The premier league is the best league in terms of quality and competitiveness from top to bottom. Spain has been very exciting this year at the top too, but that's because 3 teams are just continually trouncing everyone else, not like in the PL where it's close because teams are beating each other.

I hate all the "best league" debates but this season is the best prem one for years and years, if two of our teams end up losing to Barca an Bayern in the CL then so be it.

I've ignored united throughout this comment because they're 7th and being beaten by shit teams in our league let alone shit teams in Europe. If you sent the 7th best team in Italy to Olympiakos with Moyes in charge they'd get turned over too.

But teams such as Everton and Spurs will never win the top flight again, because of the dominance of money. Lets face it clubs like Manchester City and Chelsea can, and do, buy any player they want so they will always be that step ahead of clubs like Everton and Spurs and will continue to be unless these clubs get funding like the top three clubs.

I thought Rooney was their positive light. At times he was at full back winning the ball back, I saw him drop that deep that he was collecting the ball from De Gea and in the end it was Rooney trying to make things happen from central midfield. There's no other striker in the World that would de doing this.

I'm struggling to disagree with this.

To above, what the hell has Heysel got to do with a argument about stabbings which could be racial attacks or not?!

It does seem like one rule for England, another for the likes of Turkey though.

That may be but we could all claim that.

Would you expect to get stabbed in leicester as an away fan if you walked itno the wrong street.

i really hope the summer passes off with no problem but thinking it won't.

We held euro96 with no problems (serious)

Why should football fans have to risk life for a game.

I'm not saying you would not have a punch up and thats bad but knives no sorry.

The only way to get rid of this is by banning no excuse for lossing a brother or father for a game of football.

If I stood and sang who's the nigger on the wing you would all be incensed but a stabbing is fine.

If I did that I'd be banned for life if 500 did it we /the club would be fined god knows what would happen if 5k did it.

Uefa would fine us 20k. Governing body

More like a joke

Anyone who thinks the bottom half is La Liga is inferior to the EPL can't watch any Spanish footy at all.

It's miles clear of ours, Osasuna played Atletico off the pitch last week and beat them 3-0, they aren't losing to some shit like Norwich.

Leaving behind whether or not the punishment of Heysel was fair, to compare the two incidents is rediculous. At Heysel, 40 people died in the stadium due to rioting from Liverpool fans. In 2000, two Leeds fans died after getting into a fight in a rough area of Istanbul the night before the game.

In one way I agree but Man U don't even come in our top four atm.

And to be honest Roy does love a knock at Man U.

bitter ex springs to mind.

But yes we have not looked good in europe this week.
