Guest MattP Posted 30 August 2013 Share Posted 30 August 2013 maybe them 10,000 fans should not be so stingy with money and pay £5 more which benefits the club? Maybe the club shouldn't be so stingy and show some loyalty to those 10,000 fans who have put up with ten years of utter shit.
GingerrrFox Posted 30 August 2013 Share Posted 30 August 2013 maybe them 10,000 fans should not be so stingy with money and pay £5 more which benefits the club? £5 more but what if you've got 2 kids aged 13 and they want to go to the game? That's £35 and that's before you account for the cost of travel, food and whatever else. And if you normally sit in any of the J blocks your talking £50. All that on top of what you pay for your season ticket = shit pricing.
Ryanw21 Posted 30 August 2013 Share Posted 30 August 2013 If you really think we'll get 20k for this you are deluded. We only get 22,000 for League games against them and that's when 13,000 already have tickets paid for with the season ticket. We would make more for FFP selling out at £10 each. No idea what Watford or Madrid have as relevance to this game, you seriously suggesting this game is as big as the Watford one? You said it has never been bouncing... Derby is one of the dreadful Platinum fixtures though, and often on Sky which puts people off.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 30 August 2013 Share Posted 30 August 2013 maybe them 10,000 fans should not be so stingy with money and pay £5 more which benefits the club? They'll keep increasing the prices if you continue to pay them.
goose2010 Posted 30 August 2013 Share Posted 30 August 2013 we can only guess but I don't think for a second it will be as low as 15000, 21,500 you honestly think we will get 21.500??? at £15-£20 a ticket to watch could be potentially be a reserve match (Derby play Forest 4 days later we play Barnsley) mate your wrong 15 MAX i would say

Corky Posted 30 August 2013 Share Posted 30 August 2013 What do we reckon the prices would've been for a match against Man United, Arsenal, Chelsea etc, when the ground would've been close to full pretty much guaranteed (plus possible TV money)? Gold league fixture prices ish with some sort of weird £2-3 'surcharge' added on for tickets purchased by cash, card, cheque, wire transfer, voucher, post or carrier pigeon. What the others said, gold league. It's not just the lack of sense - but even if it proves to be more successful pricing it like this (we'll never know), is it really worth it? Will they seriously make a significant amount that was worth so much more than actually having a good crowd/experience? It's a shame that they'd rather make that tiny bit more at the expense of having a good crowd.
coolhandfox Posted 30 August 2013 Share Posted 30 August 2013 Evryone shouting down the club it could be down to Derby as Ticket price must be agreed mutually for the League Cup as per rule 22.1 22.1 Immediately after the draw is known the two Clubs concerned must mutually agree the prices. All questions in dispute must be immediately referred to the Management Committee for settlement.
Simmo86 Posted 30 August 2013 Share Posted 30 August 2013 Same as above. Both clubs have to agree pricing

Munshi Posted 30 August 2013 Share Posted 30 August 2013 You do realise we will never be in line with FFP if we give tickets away, its a business... and it wasn't bouncing against Madrid, Watford? no? You wouldn't make more cus we'l still get 20,000 at a higher price Atmosphere after we scored against Watford was electric.

Etc. etc. plus a profit to make? it does work both ways? Understand what your saying and Your cicumstances (and I do think there could be much better pricing structures in place) but I do think some people forget/don't understand this.
