Bert Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Schmeichel 7 - Made some good saves, kicking was a lot better today too. De Laet 7 - His best game so far, no surprise that it was when he had a winger to overlap. Konch 8 - Fantastic today, cannot fault him. Morgan 7 - Maybe still suffering a bit from Jet lag but played his part in the clean sheet. Moore 9 - Bullet header and a colossal performance. Knocky 7 - We look so much better a team when he's in it. Worked hard today too. Dyer 6 - Didn't have any real great impact on the game. Drinkwater 8 - Thought he was fantastic. Played the right passes, got stuck in and tried getting forward. King 7 - Industrious, Defended very well and kept things neat and tidy with Drinkwater. Vardy 7 - Used his pace well to win us the penalty, gave absolutely everythjng. Nugent 7 - Another goal from the spot, worked hard and is linking up well with Vardy. Perhaps should've scored more than one today but that's football. Don't think any of the subs had any real impact and the referee was an absolute piece.
ADK Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Kasper 9 - Didn't put a foot wrong and distribution very good Konch 7 - Pace worries me a bit but was solid De Laet 7 - Gave ball away a few times but defended well Morgan 7 - Solid Moore 8 - Solid and placed his header superbly King 6 - Over hit a few passes, was otherwise solid Drinkwater 7 - Solid Dyer 7 - Caused problems Knockeart 9 - MotM, caused problems and retained the ball well Nugent 7 - smart play and worked hard, could work on his finishing of moves Vardy 8 - clever play and good pace caused a lot of problems Subs: Didn't have much to do.
Monsell1976 Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 For the result and team performance they all deserve a 10, not felt great about this season, but still think we have another couple of gears. A few of the players had dodgy performances in patches dyer being one of them, but this season they seem more of a team, and when mistakes are made the back each other up more.
Mack Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Konchesky was fantastic today. Some vital interceptions, an asset to the side.
kingfox Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Schmeichel 7 - When called upon he performed to the task De Laet 6 - Pretty average for me, caught out a few times Morgan 7 - Solid, few mistakes but nothing serious Moore 9 - Absolutely fantastic, not a foot wrong Konchesky 7 - Despite not playing for a while, he played solidly Knockaert 7 - Some good bursts, pretty lively King 8 - Outstanding for me, controlled the midfeld, was everywhere Drinkwater 7 - His best display at home, for a while Dyer 6 - Always a danger, but pretty ineffective Vardy 8 - Hustled and bustled all game, worked hard, outstanding again Nugent 7 - Nice link up play with Vardy, good week all round for him
Winnershfox Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Good to see the Konch back in the fold. Best LB at the club for many years and a solid performance today.
Guest shearfox Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 I was at the game and everyone gets a 10
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Schmeichel 7 - Clean sheet, couple of decent saves, took some crosses well. De Laet 7 - Worked hard, steady. Konchesky 8 - Slotted in like he'd never been away and his defending was fantastic. Morgan 5 - All over the shop, missing balls and giving away free kicks. Unusual for him. Moore 8 - Got his goal and defended very well. (MOTM) Knockaert 8 - Linked things up nicely and worked hard closing people down. Dyer 7 - Was involved with some nice phases of play but his touch let him down a couple of times and didn't fancy any headers today. King 6 - Thought he was uncharacteristically sloppy at times, still put a shift in though Drinkwater 7 - Steady, solid performance Nugent 5 - Don't let the penalty mask an awful performance. Slow, lackadaisical and missed a couple of very good chances Vardy 8 - Worked very hard and showed some really nice touches. His pace won us the penalty.
K1FOX Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Hammond looked good when he came on. He won a very good header in midfield for the penalty too
Jimmy Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Kasper 6 De Laet 6 Morgan 7 Moore 9 Konchesky 7 Knockaert 7 Drinkwater 6 King 6 Dyer 5 Vardy 8 Nugent 7
Bryn Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Schmeichel 7 - Hardly had anything to do but made the saves when he had to, good saves too. de Laet 7 - Looked a more complete player today, solid at the back and enterprising going forward. Looks to have improved since last season. Morgan 7.5 - Rock solid and was highly unlucky to be continually penalised for what looked to be to be legal challenges. Moore 8 - Just as solid as Big Wes and a thumping goal to boot, well done Liam. Konchesky 7.5 - Defensively sound and showed he still has the legs to get forward, a very steady player. Knockaert 7.5 - Looked sharp, worked hard, involved in some of our most intricate play and a lovely corner for his assist. Grabbed his chance with both hands. Drinkwater 7 - The tidier of the two centre mids who were in complete control today. King 6.5 - Actually thought he lacked a bit of finesse today, but cannot be too hard on a midfield that controlled the game. Dyer 6.5 - Always a problem Nugent 5.5 - A goal and all the work rate in the world do not excuse technique that consistently poor, needs to buck up his ideas. Vardy 8 - Brilliant again, works his balls off and held the ball up brilliantly.
TrentFox Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Solid to good all round. Poor first-half from Lloydy, but much better in second. Special mentions for Konchesky, Vardy, Moore and King for me.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Good to see the Konch back in the fold. Best LB at the club for many years and a solid performance today. Many years? I like Konch and thought he was steady today but I'd swap him for Berner in a heartbeat.
MGLCFC Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Kasper 8 De Laet 7 Morgan 7 Moore 9 Konchesky 8.5 - the break has done him wonders Knockaert 7 Drinkwater 7 King 7 Dyer 7 Nugent 7 Vardy 8 Subs Wood - why can't he jump. I just wish he could start performing like he did when we signed him Hammond - loved the way he was organising things. Going to be a key player, particularly away from home Schlupp - did more than Wood in 3 minutes

allotment-fox Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Schmeichel 7 - Made a big save just before HTDe Laet 6 - Not best game for meKonch 8 - 100% today been missing his styleMorgan 6-5 - after international break a bit of Jet lagMoore 8 - cracking theader for the goal strong performance could have been a pen against him in 1st half got away with it .Knocky 8 - Working hard for the team now a grown up playerDyer 6..5 - lacking his pace late on (birthday cake) good to see him start the gameDrinkwater 8 - This was one of his best games at home for me this seasonKing 7 - did well always 100%Vardy 7 - cracking day for him without getting a goal very strong ,won the penalty he's moved up a gear this term.Nugent 6.5 - missed a couple of good chances but a strong partnership with Vardy, to a good pen to settle it
Guest ttfn Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Schmeichel 7.5 - A couple of good stops and at least one great catch from a cross. Distribution mixed as per usual. De Laet 7 - Did fine. A couple of crunching tackles. Morgan 5 - Class act, but poor today. Wasteful in possession and generally seemed off the pace. Unsurprising given his midweek endeavours. Moore 9 - Virtually flawless. Konchesky 7 - The sort of performance that used to be standard from him. Solid. Knockaert 7 - Disconcertingly responsible in possession. King 7 - Some crucial interceptions as ever. Could have offered more going forwards. Drinkwater 8 - Thought he was very impressive today. A couple of great tackles and moved the ball quicker. Dyer 6 - Meh. Not Lloyd's best. Nugent 7 - No idea how to rate that really. Persistently got in good positions and persistently wasted the opportunities. Good penalty. Vardy 8 - I thought he was better today than against Birmingham. He played so much more intelligently than he did then and as usual worked his socks off. Looks a different player.
65RosesFox Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 The team was fantastic today and overall a score of 8.5/9 I'm sure Big Wes will be the first to admit ge had a shocker today, but when you're best defender has an off game and we still never really looked liked conceding and kept a clean sheet against one of the Leagues favourites for automatic promotion you can't complain at all. Bring on Tuesday!
DennisNedry Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 The worst I've seen Morgan play in a Leicester shirt and he was still worth a 6! Anyway: Kasper - 7 De Laet - 8 Moore - 8.5 Morgan - 6 Konch - 7 Knockaert - 6 King - 7 Drinkwater - 6.5 Dyer - 7 Nugent - 6 Vardy - 8.5 Can't decide on MOTM out of Moore and Vardy. Wigan were poor, ref was decent.
Fox92 Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Kasper 7 De Laet 7 Morgan 6 Moore 8 - Man of match Konchesky 7 Knockaert 7 Drinkwater 7.5 King 7 Dyer 7 Nugent 7 Vardy 7.5 --- Wigan were poor. I don't really rate Coyle anyway. Attackers passed it around well they didn't really threaten.
bigneville Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Schmeichel - 8 - Didn't have much to do, looked a lot more comfortable at corners, and made two big saves when required. De Laet - 7 - Showed signs of the quality full back we saw last year again. Involved in some very neat and tidy play at times. Decent. Morgan - 7 - Poor on the ball today, but his same old brilliant self when defending. Moore - 8.5 - Quality. Took his goal well, and every time Fortune thought he had the better of him, he recovered well. Positional play is improving week by week. Konchesky - 7.5 - Defended well, looked leggy at the end due to lack of games, but steady. Dealt with everything thrown at him. Knockaert - 7.5 - Looked lively and managed to get the balanced between flair and hard work right. King - 8 - Covered the pitch well, and worked incredibly hard. Used the ball well, and got forward when needed. Good performance Drinkwater - 8 - As above. Worked well with King, never left us wide open. Won the battle with King as a pair against a heavily flooded midfield. Dyer - 6 - Didn't really make any impact. Vardy - 8 - Worked really hard, got into great positions, and earned us the penalty. Starting to add quality on a regular basis now. Nugent - 7.5 - Took his penalty well, and made some great runs. Just needs to re-gain his composure sometimes in the final third. Subs Wood - 5 - Arguing with your team-mate over a penalty, having a strop after he scores, and not jumping for headers is not going to earn your starting place back. Hammond - 6 - Clearly sent on to tighten things up. Just sat as a screen without doing anything to note.
LCFC_Wade96 Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Schmeichal -7- Caught well from corners, saved when he had too, same old Kasper. De laet -7- Got forward to support Knockaert overlapped when needing too. Morgan -6- did okay but had a very long week, understandable Jetlag, but nice to hear him talk well with Stringer. Moore - 9- His performace was great! Everything you want from a CB composed, ruthless and solid as a rock. Konchesky -8- Very Solid today his ball use was good as well. Knockaert - 8- Worked hard, did his thing. DONT SELL KNOCKAERT. Drinkwater -8- Used the ball very well. Impressive against more passing teams for me. King -7- His usual work rate run covering, tackling, box to box self. Dyer- 6- Did not really effect the game of make the worse. Vardy -8- Deserves his praise that he is getting working very hard and really putting in quality. Might bang in a few more against Blackburn. Nugent -7- Missed sitters that he should be scoring, but still worked very hard and the runs were there so a bit more composure and were there! Hammond -7- Organised very well, put in a couple of tackles, positional play also looked good. Wood -6- League game should pick up soon I hope Schlupp -6- did not do much only had a couple of minutes. Referee-7- Decent Game. Wigan -5- Thought they were going to be a lot more creative, Coyle for me was the wrong choice of manager for thier promotion.
nlukka Posted 15 September 2013 Posted 15 September 2013 Kasper 7 - good distribution today RDL 7 - you could see Wigan were trying to get in behind him a lot in the first half but he did well. Got forward a lot Konchesky 8 - top notch. Glad to see him back in the side. Moore 8 - fast becoming my favourite city player. Think even I had goosebumps at the 'one of our own' chant today Morgan 7 - defended well but caught in possession a few times Knockaert 7 - always looked a threat and excellent tackling and overall teamwork from him today Drinkwater 8 - superb, great pass for vardy in first half with the outside of his foot King 7 - all-round good job Dyer 6 - didn't scare them much but always looked lively Nugent 7 - seems to be lacking in confidence to me, snatching at chances a little Vardy 8 - once again excellent shift from him Subs 5's all round as not on for long enough to get any higher than that
Dickov22 Posted 15 September 2013 Posted 15 September 2013 Kasper 7. Made a very good save and also very strong in his box defending corners De Laet 7. His best game so far. Looks at his best in a 4-4-2 Moore 9. Brick wall, good in the air and topped it off with a goal. Morgan 6. Worst game I've seen him have for us. Jet lagged maybe? Konch 8. Excellent performance. Solid Knockaert 7. Showed some nice skill. We need to be playing him every game at home. Makes things happen Drinkwater 8. Got stuck in, used the ball well King 7. His usual, went about his business quietly and effectively Dyer 7. Quiet first half, better second. Nugent 7. Thought he played well, loads of running and linked well with Vardy. Vardy 9. Good in the air, pacey, constant threat to their defenders, linked well with Nugent. MOTM for me Wood 4. Crap. Wish he would bloody jump for a header Hammond 6. Gave the ball away a couple of times but did the job Pearson asked, just gave us some extra presence in the middle.
