We are playing at home against our rivals, on the back of good form and with a chance of a big fixture in the 4th round and some of you really don't seem to give a toss if we win or lose. Instead, you bleat on about 'saving them for Barnsley at home on Saturday'. Has being a City fan really come to this? The acceptance of a game like this as 'meaningless'? I despair. I agree ColTotally unacceptable to have such an attitude We should be looking to push on and gain more confidence from winning games, not just accepting defeat like we are "saving our best players for the league". That's rubbish

In all honesty can we win the cup? No then we may as well get some competitive game time into fringe players and see what the new boys can do without costing us 3 points

That's rubbish We're fighting a losing battle buddy. Attitudes have changed so much. I'm afraid it's clear to see.

A game like this at Filbert Street, Roberts, Kitson and all would have been treated with the same respect as any league game. I despair. Great post Not being bothered about winning any game is awful. It's a cup game, our cup. It's Derby. With a few exceptions I think it is an age thing.

But what's the point in our other players if we're not going to use them? We have to plan our way through the fixtures. We also don't have the biggest squad so rotation matters. People like Was, GTF and Hammond were always going to need game time tonight.

That's rubbish When's the last time a Championship team put both the league and the cup on fire at the same time? You're bound to fade in either competition in the long run. We don't have the necessary depth in squad (yet) to allow enough good players to step up to the plate, replace their comrades equally and to give them a rest.
