funkyrobot Posted 5 October 2013 Share Posted 5 October 2013 Another (potentially) costly mistake from Schmeichel. I seriously don't understand the bumming he gets most of the time. Good at keeping penalties out but apart from that - dreadful kicking, always rushing to get the ball out even when we're trying to close out the game, hands it back to the opposition 9/10 when hoofing it up the field and not particularly good at commanding the box during set pieces. Meh, IMO obviously. He's a great kicker, his outside of the boot kick out has created goals and chances including A good opportunity for dyer against Barnsley. He's class but even the best goalies make mistakes. He's certainly premier league standard. Tbf he's made a mistake, even his dad was occasionally prone to make an error. Captain... Posted 5 October 2013 Share Posted 5 October 2013 Strong end to the half, Knocky's looked, we looked a bit overrun in the the middle at times, but also played some nice stuff. Nugent has looked poor, I would sub him off, just not looked with it and a lot of attacks have broken down with him. Has Dyer been told not to cross? He gets in good positions but then plays the pass rather than cross it, probably not a bad idea as he can't cross and we've got no real aerial threat at the moment. We have been absolutely dominant in the last 20 minutes of that half, terrorising down the flanks and King/Drinkwater really getting to grips with the midfield. Only worrying thing is how quiet Vardy and Nugent have been. How many times does Nugent want to trip over the ball? Nugent has looked poor, I would sub him off, just not looked with it and a lot of attacks have broken down with him. Don't say that, the Nugent police will be on to you. Same case on Tuesday, the game should have been wrapped up after an hour but we ended up stumbling over the line, there is no threat up front whatsoever. Vardy for all his effort is never going to score enough goals at this level and Nugent looks a mess. No other real options though unless we go 433. A shitty cross came in from a corner, kasper went to catch it without anyone around him but took his eye off it in the last second so it just bounced off his hand into the net.
