KFS Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 Shocking ref, most pedantic pratt to put a whistle in his mouth. Davies setting up the most boring team I've ever seen to the KP, if people get stick in the office on Monday, at least we're not watching THAT every week. Not our day unfortunately.
Brainy Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 Is the nature of this league, will get beaten by shit teams occasionally this season. Just gotta make sure it happens less than it does to all the other top teams
ScouseFox Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 Fair play to Forest. Decent smash and grab and their best result of the season. Our worst. Gotta rely on a bit of luck if you sit back and let a team have so many chances that they'll miss and you'll tuck away two goals in the only real times you cross the half way line. Classic Davies, not pretty but as shown it was effective. We needed an early goal (and we had the chances) to make them have to try and play because they almost definitely can't do that. We didn't and the rest is history really. 2 weeks to shake it out the system and go again. Becoming pretty familiar this.
ADK Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 Classic shit-team-beats-better-team match. Forest two attacks, two scrappy goals, we miss a host of chances and even miss a penalty. Ref suffering from a bad case of small man syndrome. What a load of shit
nickelbyfox Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 Classic shit-team-beats-better-team match. Forest two attacks, two scrappy goals, we miss a host of chances and even miss a penalty. Ref suffering from a bad case of small man syndrome. What a load of shit Succinct and correct imo - how we have lost that god/Nugent only knows
Leicfox Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 Could've, would've, should've.........BUT DIDN'T. Sloppy at the back for both goals & shocking in-front of goal all game, but luckily were still 5pts clear of 4th.
Webbo Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 Second half we were poor now doubt about it. We did enough to win but we can't claim we deserved to. Bad day at the office.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 ah well, obviously gutting result but no need to overreact. I hope the same goes for NP - hope he doesn't change his philosophy of (generally) attacking and entertaining passing football, because of one unfortunate loss. also that the team dont lose any confidence. Ref and commentator sh1t biased pr1cks. Forest will finish 8th - 12th IMO, below us and Derby.
KFS Posted 9 November 2013 Author Posted 9 November 2013 I honestly don't care about losing to Forest, if that was Yeovil I'd be even more annoyed
Fifties Blue Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 Bad day at the office. We all have 'em; learn from it and move on. Still believe that the team that manages to finish this season above us, will be champions.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 I'd be half tempted to go with Vardy and Wood after the break. I rate Nuge but you could argue he's our most out-of-form striker at the moment, today wasn't a good one at the office for him. The main annoyance about today is a complete lack of imagination in that second period. Awful from both teams, but bound to happen after the euphoria of last week. Classic Leicester, really.
lgfualol Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 It's weird the only 3 games we've lost are all before the break, surely it should be the opposite and they will want to win and then relax. A bit of a bumhole game.
NewburyFox Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 Ref was shit but not the reason we lost. Forest set up in the most negative fashion imaginable, we gifted them two goals and our lack of creativity struggled to break through their 9 man defence. Just not our day and after seeing that, I'm 100% sure we will finish above them this season.
Wakeyfox Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 We were poor in the second half, the first half reminded me of the Cardiff game last year when we dominated but lost to their only attack. Just not our day, lets not over-react here (as if you would ) At least Burnley and QPR drew and Blackpool lost so no massive impact league-wise (although a win would have put us top) and were still 9 points ahead of 7th. Onwards and upwards... LTID
purpleronnie Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 Forest's game plan worked, fair play to them.
Guest Bilo Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 The only consolation is that I'm fairly confident we'll finish above Forest this season. If any or all of the three first half chances go in, we go on to a comfortable win. As it is, Forest have the luckiest 45 minutes they'll enjoy this season and park the bus in the second half. The worry for me is that we looked so clueless and lacking in creativity in breaking down this tactic. Forest won't be the last team to set up like that this season, something for us to work on.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 Why was the only player on the pitch trying taken off. Knockaert was in every position and the only one making chances... Yet he gets subbed
Jonezy Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 Classic case of 'just not our day'. Of course it happens at home against flippin Nottingham. Ref was crap, but not the reason we lost this game. He did give us a way back in the game with the penalty call, which Nugent then obviously wasted. Shit happens.
whoareyaaa Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 I think we was unlucky today and it just wasn't meant to be. Forest got two lucky goals from rebounds that go straight to there men who can't really miss, then Nugent misses 2 clear headers and fluffs his penalty. Add to that the ref was an absolute bellend. We was always going to lose at some point and im confident we will bounce straight back. Luckily for us we still sit in 2nd place 2 points from the top and some great results went our way today apart from our own game. On to the next game.

Good luck with that.
ADK Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 Agree with most comments really. In some ways our second half performance reminded me of the Doncaster match. We seemed to allow large parts of it to just drift past without really threatening at all. Granted we were facing a 9-1-0 formation, but there are teams who seem to have a bit more venom when required than we do. I'd argue Watford made a better go of it against us last week even though they ended up losing 3-0.
Guest ttfn Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 If you ever needed proof of how much luck plays a role in football, today was it. We had a huge slice of luck last week with Wood's goal but it was no less than we deserved for the way we started the game. But today, Forest offered absolutely nothing. In possession they were the worst team I've seen this season. But one freak goal and another from their only other attack and they were 2-0 up at the break. You could play that first half another 100 times and we'd be in front on 95 of those times. On chances, possession - everything - we were not only the better team but COMFORTABLY the better team. As it was, by some freak it was 0-2. What I will say for Forest is that they were incredibly well organised. Hobbs was a rock for them. The referee was atrocious. Atrocious. So many obvious bookings for Forest players were not even being punished by fouls. I said as Nugent walked up to the penalty "this is going over the bar". Dreadful strike. Freak game; move on.
darko2k7 Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 :Like others have said just a bad day at the office . At least other results went our way so not really been punished at all . Just hope we respond the same as we did with the previous losses in the season and bounce back with some wins . Come on city Be interesting to see how many random OTT negative threads get posted over the next 24hrs
Wakeyfox Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 Why was the only player on the pitch trying taken off. Knockaert was in every position and the only one making chances... Yet he gets subbed Totally agree with this. I know we change formation, but we needed to go for it. Knocky was the only player creating anything and that stopped when he went off.
