To me, it just seemed to just confirm Oswald was a Soviet detractor with potential links to the KGB and the US government tried to cover up a lot to try and stop World War III and a second Franz Ferdinand/Gavrilo Princip moment as they were frightened of public opinion around the world if they found out the US president had been murdered by a Soviet defector who may have been sponsored by the KGB. Especially when this happened only a few months after the Cuban Missile Crisis with the Cold War tensions at their absolute height. Probably what a lot of us always suspected. Certainly nothing to suggest the conspiracy theories he was killed by the CIA/FBI.

It was decided in 1992 that they would be released in 25 years time, unless the president decided differently.

I actually thought you were joking, but just read up about this Act. Genuinely thought it was just a way of Trump diverting his presidential troubles to focus on a famous US individual's horrific ending for the interest of the public.

There's already enough hard evidence to suggest it was a conspiracy, people were just being overly optimistic thinking there would be some proof of the exact story somewhere.
