Hollism Posted 20 November 2013 Posted 20 November 2013 Winners: Brazil Runners-up: Spain Dark horse: Columbia Surprise Package: England Whipping Boys: Australia England: QF
Lionator Posted 20 November 2013 Posted 20 November 2013 The only team who'll beat Brazil is themselves (if you get my drift). They stormed the confederations cup wiping the floor with Spain in the final and Scolari seems to be getting the best out of some ordinary players. Given European teams records in Americas World Cups, this also gives Brazil the edge, while Argentina, Colombia and Uruguay will be very dangerous in that climate.
ruisliptiger Posted 20 November 2013 Posted 20 November 2013 I just can't see past Brazil. They'd likely be lynched if they didn't win it.
Samilktray Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 Brazil.Neymar about to take his place alongside Ronaldo & Zlatan.
Manwell Pablo Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 Brazil. Neymar about to take his place alongside Ronaldo & Zlatan. That's really not that hard to do
Dan Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 Brazil were quality in the Confederations final, amazed how they took Spain apart, but still think they're a far inferior side to the Argies. Can actually see that being the final.
Captain... Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 Brazil. Neymar about to take his place alongside Ronaldo & Zlatan. Would be a lot more impressive if he had scored.
purpleronnie Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 Winners: Brazil Runners-up: Spain Dark horse: Columbia Surprise Package: England Whipping Boys: Australia England: QF It certainly would be a surprise.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 Going to go for Brazil. Home advantage will see them to at least the semis. If Spain end up on the other side of the draw to them then I'd back them to reach the final as well. Brazil, Spain, Germany and A.N.Other to be the final four.

Kitchandro Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 Brazil. Neymar about to take his place alongside Ronaldo & Zlatan. If he didn't score that it's the worst clip of supposed brilliance I've ever seen.
purpleronnie Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 If he didn't score that it's the worst clip of supposed brilliance I've ever seen. he didn't
Leicesterpool Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 Fancy putting your money where your mouth is? I'll give you 5/1 now upto £100. I don't think Spain are as good as people make out, i agree they've been good between 2006 and 2012 but i think we're slightly going to see a decline in them soon, the Brazilian's outclassed them last year. To be honest i think all the european clubs are going to struggle, the only country i can set reaching the Quarter FInals are Germany but i don't think there going to be spectacular either. Champions: Brazil Runners Up: Uruguay Third Place: Argentina Forth Place: United States! (i'm not kidding)

Dan Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 To be fair the semi finals rarely consist of the four best sides. In the past three you've had Uruguay, South Korea & Turkey all make the semis. Japan are my surprise package. They're nowhere near the finished article but they play some pretty good football and they've got a couple of quality big name players too in Kagawa & Honda. Won away at Belgium in the week too.

Turkey I'll give you, still don't know how that happened.
Guest kristianity77 Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 Annoyingly I think Germany will win it. They have so much depth all over the pitch its unreal. I think England will embarrass themselves. Doesn't matter which group we are put in, I think we will struggle to get out of it. And even if we do get out, its likely to be in 2nd spot meaning we will just get dumped out in the last 16 by a team far superior.

We need to draw a couple of shitty African/Asian sides along with the top seed.(Or Swtizerland) If we get a European/South American 3rd or 4th seed with us I think we could be in some trouble.
Dan Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 Uruguay were a fine side four years ago. A host getting their should never be a surprise, every game is at home. Turkey I'll give you, still don't know how that happened. They were but I was surprised to see them in the final four. South Korea even with home advantage should've never got there and I mean through refereeing decisions as well. Some of the stuff that went on was absolutely scandlous. Didn't realise how far Turkey had come. Seen that they lost 8-0 to England twice in 86 Still never scored a goal past England.
Leicesterpool Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 I think the USA will be the surprise package in this world cup, they've hugely improved since Klinsmann took over also going to have a huge support of fans going next year. I think they'll reach the semi's, England seriously need to improve we've played two good nations sides recently and in both we've been made to look sloppy, at the moment i can see England going out in the group stages! A good world cup for England would be to reach quarter finals.
purpleronnie Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 We always make it out of the group. but we might get a difficult one this time.
