FuriousFox46 Posted 20 November 2013 Posted 20 November 2013 Running a poll on my blog and will do a countdown soon Please vote http://thechriswhitingshow.wordpress.com/2013/11/20/vote-leicester-citys-greatest-goal/
jonthefox Posted 20 November 2013 Posted 20 November 2013 Voted for claridge. It wasn't so much the goal, but what it meant.
Number 6 Posted 20 November 2013 Posted 20 November 2013 This could be...the winner from Claridge... IT IS!
Guest Bilo Posted 20 November 2013 Posted 20 November 2013 Izzet, Grimsby, 2002. We were there in the freezing rain in what actually wasn't a great game, then THAT came out of absolutely nowhere. I've been to the Nou Camp, Eastlands and many other great grounds, but I've never seen a goal better than that.
Kitchandro Posted 20 November 2013 Posted 20 November 2013 I'm sure you did this recently And I believe I asked this question that time as well: Is it the greatest goal, or my favourite?
FuriousFox46 Posted 20 November 2013 Author Posted 20 November 2013 I'm sure you did this recently And I believe I asked this question that time as well: Is it the greatest goal, or my favourite? Whichever. I did our greatest moment last time Why is Ben Marshall v Chelsea in there? I included all in that video the club put together earlier this year. I wouldn't have included that otherwise. I think we all know which are the real contenders anyway!
Fox92 Posted 20 November 2013 Posted 20 November 2013 Izzet v Grimsby... Best goal from a Leicester City player I've ever seen live.

Guest MattP Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 Izzet without question, absolutely incredible goal.
dayday Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 I was looking forJulian Joachims goal against Barnsley and Andy Peakes against Liverpool, both fantastic goals
Finnegan Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 Ben Marshall vs Chelsea may not have really meant anything but in terms of actual quality of goal it's completely stunning. Absolute belter.
Wilson_6 Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 Izzet, Grimsby, 2002. We were there in the freezing rain in what actually wasn't a great game, then THAT came out of absolutely nowhere. I've been to the Nou Camp, Eastlands and many other great grounds, but I've never seen a goal better than that. I've gone with the same mate. Never seen a goal that good technically before or since.
Kitchandro Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 Izzet's is my choice for best as well but I've also always loved Nalis'. It's not just your bog standard volley, the ball is spinning awkwardly backwards away from goal, he's having to sprint towards it, he has to hit it instantly, whilst facing away from goal and generating all the power. Was he even left footed? Both those goals are technically amazing. Weller's v Luton always makes me smile as well, you don't often see a Leicester player skin 3 men with such close control and smack it in the top corner.
Guest Col city fan Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 Nalis' goal for me. He's kinda standing in the wrong position to be able to hit it like that. Fook knows how he wraps his boot around it to make it dip and swerve from that far out. I was also at the Grimsby game, on a freezing cold afternoon... Izzett's strike warmed our end up I can tell ya.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 Izzet's against Grimsby makes me rub my eyes (and genitals) in disbelief, but Claridge's shin was a moment to savour
Bert Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 Ben Marshall vs Chelsea may not have really meant anything but in terms of actual quality of goal it's completely stunning. Absolute belter. Was a great goal. Wasn't better than Gallaghers v Palace. People's vendetta against Gally prevented him winning that goal of the season.
absolutelegend Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 Best: Izzet vs. Grimsby Runner up: Knockaert vs. Huddersfield
Corky Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 In terms of team goal, King's at Derby a couple of years ago was my favourite. One touch passing, movement, off the ball running and a calm finish with the outside of the foot. Glorious.
Fox92 Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 Gillespie v West Ham was an excellent goal but is never mentioned.
Babylon Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 Ben Marshall vs Chelsea may not have really meant anything but in terms of actual quality of goal it's completely stunning. Absolute belter. We've had loads like that really though, doesn't stand out for me.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 How does one define the greatest goal? Do you mean the most spectacular, important, solo effort, or what?
dynamark Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 No one will ever be 'best' but Weller volley direct from a corner you don't see that very often if ever
