Asha Posted 5 December 2013 Posted 5 December 2013 Has died, aged 95. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-25249520
stevelcfc Posted 5 December 2013 Posted 5 December 2013 What a great person he was. Inspiration, hero and saved South Africa from Civil Implosion.
stevelcfc Posted 5 December 2013 Posted 5 December 2013 “No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.†Mandela
ADK Posted 5 December 2013 Posted 5 December 2013 Quite like Mandela. No doubt some die hard thatcherite will start calling him a terrorist. Seems like a man that has steered his country in a better direction than it could have gone.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 5 December 2013 Posted 5 December 2013 I never knew he blew up an electricity pylon. No wonder he was a such a popular chap
Tom17LCFC Posted 5 December 2013 Posted 5 December 2013 RIP. On a side note, has anyone seen Paris Hilton's alleged tweet? haha 'RIP Mandela, Your 'I have a dream' speech was inspirational.'
Hollism Posted 5 December 2013 Posted 5 December 2013 RIP. On a side note, has anyone seen Paris Hilton's alleged tweet? haha 'RIP Mandela, Your 'I have a dream' speech was inspirational.' Hmm.. there are a few screenshots but every one has 57 retweets and 30 favourites. I'm not believing this one.
Jimothy Posted 5 December 2013 Posted 5 December 2013 RIP. An inspiration to millions. RIP. On a side note, has anyone seen Paris Hilton's alleged tweet? haha 'RIP Mandela, Your 'I have a dream' speech was inspirational.' On a similar note a Facebook friend just put they couldn't believe he'd died. He was 95! I can believe he's died, I was more shocked he was still going. I have to ban myself from commenting on Facebook to avoid arguments.
Deucalion Posted 5 December 2013 Posted 5 December 2013 When a famous person dies, there is often a lot of crap spouted about them from all quarters. In Mandela's case, the praise is all justified. To have endured what he endured for an unquestionably noble cause and to lead South Africa when his time came with tolerance and respect for all makes him a great man.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 5 December 2013 Posted 5 December 2013 Sad news. He was brilliant in Bruce Almighty.
Deucalion Posted 5 December 2013 Posted 5 December 2013 Sad news. He was brilliant in Bruce Almighty. That was Jim Carey.
Jimothy Posted 5 December 2013 Posted 5 December 2013 Sad news. He was brilliant in Bruce Almighty. Weirdly sent a similar "joke" to a mate at exactly the same time!
Finnegan Posted 5 December 2013 Posted 5 December 2013 Sad news. He was brilliant in Bruce Almighty. Seriously mate? You're going to be that ****ing disrespectful? You are a prize ****. Shawshank was much better.
Bayfox Posted 5 December 2013 Posted 5 December 2013 Rip. decent innings when you consider what he lived through.
Libertine Dream Posted 5 December 2013 Posted 5 December 2013 Great leader and figurehead, shit policy maker and administrator. Great what he's done for black people in South Africa and across the world but a fair few of their problems now have roots during his time in office
Jimothy Posted 5 December 2013 Posted 5 December 2013 Spookily the new Mandela film premiered tonight. Impeccable timing.
