Guest MattP Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Good idea if the owners are intending to take our average attendance below 20k.
LCFC FOX Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Is Nigel Pearson having talks with West Brom?... As for Neil Warnock I would give him a chance as I would anybody. His career has actually been good. But his voice and his commentary on BT Sport does my head in
cityfanlee23 Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 I'm sure Warnock has his fans. City are my team, years ago I watched an interview with Warnock on TV when he made 'uncomplimentary remarks' about City. I've disliked him ever since. Even if it had been another club it's not good to broadcast a bad message about them to the nation. Was this with regard to the season we came top of the league and he made remarks about administration??? HE WAS RIGHT! Laws of the game state we should have been punished...
Happy Fox Posted 15 December 2013 Author Posted 15 December 2013 Ian Stringer â€@StringerSport12h So West Brom sack Clarke. Be interested to see their shortlist for a replacement in the coming days Stringer is probably shit stirring as usual.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 So many tools on this forum its unreal.
cityfanlee23 Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Warnock and attacking footbal Have a day off Lee To be honest my opinion is based on following the guy for over 10 years.... Like I said to others, watch the story of his time at bury, qpr, Sheffield United... The behind the scenes info at Leeds... He's a quality manager.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 I'm rehashing a gif I've used before, but I think it sums up the thread, the posters advocating Nigel Pearson to go and those desperate for Neil Warnock to come in perfectly...

Sounds like there maybe rumour of an enquiry, I'm sure they will be put off when they realise how much it would cost them to match Pearsons promotion bonus and compensate the club and that's if he's even interested

He may be a quality manager in your eyes but there's no way you can say he's an attacking manager

I could use that gif to the fans who think NP is the best manager in the world and has no limitations and replacing him at any point would be suicide, same fans that think our team is full of players we Cannot replace as they are good enough to get us to the premiership and keep us there, same fans that think we deserve to be in the premiership even though we've been shit for 10 years
Tielemans63 Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Neil Warnock is probably high in the betting for more or less every championship job.

If thtis is your attitude to Pearson in the position we're in then you can kindly fvck off. The last thing I want if for this club to be taking a step backwards, which is exactly what we'll be doing if we appointed that oaf as a manager.
gazfox9 Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Watching us lose 1-0 at Leeds last season was the most depressing away I've been to in years. Warnock's teams are set up to time waste, feign injury, foul the opposition and spoil the game. He even instructs the ball boys to waste time. I'm with the poster above. If Warnock came here I'd be devastated. Tbf though, all of those things you mention, we've lacked in recent seasons. We've become a bit more streetwise this season, but unfortunately to get out of this league, pretty football alone simply wont do it. You may think those things are not in the spirit of the game, and they may well not be. But if you want sucess I think you need those aspects in your game.
Crinklyfox Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 No it wasn't. If it had been I would have had some sympathy but this was a forthcoming match.
Happy Fox Posted 15 December 2013 Author Posted 15 December 2013 Sounds like there maybe rumour of an enquiry, I'm sure they will be put off when they find out how much it would cost them to match Pearsons promotion bonus and compensate the club and that's if he's even interested I wouldn't imagine the compensation to be too high for WBA to afford, NP's out of contract. Be interesting to see what happens in the coming days. The Thais haven't even bothered to start contract talks so I imagine NP wouldn't be too bothered.

No mate I just like him and think he would do a job for us.... And I'll take that as a compliment, I'm not tunnel visioned like 3/4 of our fanbase. NP has his limitations , I'm not saying sack him.... I'm saying if the board did I'd want warnock. Said it for years.
Russell sprout Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Do the bookies no something we don't? http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/leicester/next-permanent-manager It's called easy money, some idiots think that as he's 2/1,something must be going on,so folk bet on something that's not going to happen, believing it might,so the bookies make 'easy money'.
Fox92 Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Of course Nigel has him limitations, every manager in this division probably does. There is no way Warnock would achieve anything more than Pearson here.
adam1 Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Jesus f.ucking christ. MOVE ON NOTHING TO SEE HERE What a waste of a f.ucking thread. You are reading too much into this market price/ Warnock would always be favourite. As to the actual price - when there is no competition in the market because its a completely pointless one (only two firms offering odds for all the 'specials next manager of ...' ), they can afford to operate at a very very large margin (tight prices, larger % of profit). After all why go 10s Warnock if you can go 2s???? There is also another reason for the tight prices - this is a f.ucking moronic market. This market is for muppets who just want to hand their cash over. Why? If Pearson did get sacked the market would reform and Warnock would be a much larger price. This is because at the moment no one is specifically watching events surrounding Leicester. NP could get sacked and Warnock in in the next 5 minutes, the firms wouldn't know about it and they would take a massive hit. Thus small prices. If NP gets sacked, more people watching evcents, information becomes available etc firms are paying attention. Therefore a 'proper market'.
Babylon Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 spent about £1,000,000 and took them from a relegation squad to champions, Average age of the squad was about 60 Just one million???????? Relegation Squad????? 13th position????? Rob Hulse 1 million Taarabt 1 million + Tommy Smith 1.6 million Jamie Mackie 500 k + Paddy Kenny 1 million Whilst also being allowed to bring in Wayne Routledge and Kyle Walker on loan. Along with Shittu, Chimbonda, Hill, Derry, Miller, Tofas, Clarke... and well the list goes on and on of frees who I would imagine didn't play for free and wanted signing on fees.
Aus Fox Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Was this with regard to the season we came top of the league and he made remarks about administration??? HE WAS RIGHT! Laws of the game state we should have been punished... No he wasn't, that year we didn't break a single law of the game, we were under transfer embargo for going into administration, the rules changed later but at the time we didn't break any rules so he was wrong. And Neil's record at championship level isn't that flash in 18 seasons he achieved three promotions Sheffield United took him 6 years to build, most managers would get promotion if they are given time to build a squad. Very few are. The squad he had at QPR was easily the best in the league at the time and he couldn't fail to take them up. With each club he has taken up he has proved to be useless in the premier league when his thug tactics don't work. You can kick your way out of the championship but it will get you no where in te long run. McCarthy, Davies, Megson and Mowbarry all have better championship records than Warnock. No way Never!

Babs mate, you might want to look into who he actually signed and who was signed before he arrived... Or watch "the four year plan" you might see what actually happened a qpr with Neil warnock
cityfanlee23 Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Lee To be honest mate I didn't expect people to agree with me haha, I like him anyway and would welcome him, everyone deserves a chance, so why has this all come about has nige been linked with west brom???
