RowlattsFox Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Improved 2nd half but a lot down to man city cooling down. A free kick and 2 sloppy goals is frustrating, not like they've shown quality to score goals.
Jonezy Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Maybe conceding that sloppy 3rd goal wasn't the worst idea. Man City stepped off the gas after that and made us look decent for the rest of the game. Lloyd is awesome, James put in a promising shift and Konch was solid on the left.
svensson Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Better than who, Torquay or Aldershot? Dont delude yourself, we've just been handed a footballing masterclass by Man Citys ressies. Haha "masterclass" , have a day off. As for the ressies, probably 3/4 of those don't reguarly start...
Haydos Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Better than who, Torquay or Aldershot? Dont delude yourself, we've just been handed a footballing masterclass by Man Citys ressies. Get out. Man City Reserves? What the fvck does that even mean? They're a completely different class to us and we almost pulled the same scoreline as Bayern did against them. We were obviously out of our depth for a lot of it but in the second half once we stop defending like morons and actually held a line and pressed intelligently we built a solid platform. We slowed it down going forward and played more patiently and chances came. We were nowhere near as bad in general (maybe defensively for the first 60 minutes, granted) as some people on here are making out. Once James came on we changed completely. I was very disappointed with us first half, we were poor, but we showed some glimmers of Prem football in the second.

Dr The Singh Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Could have been a disaster in the 2nd, Man City looked like they could rip us a new ass hole anytime they wished. Back 4 were poor, Wasi on the right doesn't work for me, he seems to be out of position alot. Wes looked poor, he was nowhere on the third goal. Attacking wise, like every week, we get into good positions, but our choice of the last pass etc is poor! Lets hope this result doesn't impact us for saturday!!
steveherbe Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Dyer was very good. Thought our 3 midfielders were pretty useful. None of the strikers any good. Defence a shambles at times. Spot on, summed it up - oh, and have I mentioned the crowd? 27000 plastics, hope they never come near the KP again.
justfoxes Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Why are you putting the team down FFS WE HAVE JUST BEEN OUTPLAYED AND BEATEN BY A MULTI TALENTED MULTI MILLION POUND TEAM FFS WE ONLY LOST 3-1 could have been worse but the team didn't play too bad !! Bit of support there wouldn't go a miss for YOUR Team !
steveherbe Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Haha "masterclass" , have a day off. As for the ressies, probably 3/4 of those don't reguarly start... 8 changes from saturday, man city reserves.
AKCJ Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 VS LEICESTER 01 Hart 05 Zabaleta (Boyata - 12') 13 Kolarov 17 Rodwell 04 Kompany 06 Lescott 15 Navas 14 Javi GarcÃa 10 Dzeko 21 Silva (Nasri - 70' ) 07 Milner VS BAYERN 01 Hart 02 Richards (Zabaleta - 16') 13 Kolarov 25 Fernandinho 26 Demichelis 06 Lescott 15 Jesús Navas 14 Javi GarcÃa 10 Dzeko 21 Silva (Negredo - 73) 07 Milner I'd rather have faced the latter.
BoneDog Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Better than who, Torquay or Aldershot? Dont delude yourself, we've just been handed a footballing masterclass by Man Citys ressies. They'd demolish most teams.

KFS Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Wouldn't mind them in our reserve squad !!Try first team haha!
crisp packet Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Game felt like a pre- season friendly .... With away fans? We didn't get hammered was the only real positive? Gave them toooo much respect, no far too much respect . Me thinks well win sat , well get a result at qpr . THIS team needs to start turning up again as December has been poor . Typical leicester.!!! COYB.
Bert Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Had a right idiot sat near me. Anyway, they were just better than us. Simple as that. But you've got to expect that. We didn't help ourselves at times, and although we were outclassed we weren't disgraced. A few good individual performances and a spirited 20 minutes at the end of the game are the positives we need to take into Saturday.

Father Ted Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 We were poor, end of. Our team selection handed a semi final place to them before the game even started. When James and Vardy came on, the game completely changed and even more so when Schlupp came on for Nuseless. It was clear that we were nervous but we didn't play with the usual vigour or directness we would at home, almost had a negative away match feel to it, reluctant to pass forwards, poor on the ball, nobody carrying the ball forwards. Summed it up for me when Dyer scored and all the players strolled over to him and almost congratulated him as if to say 'well done Lloydy, you scored against Man City' rather than 'Get the **** in, we've still got a chance, come on'. We could quite easily have grabbed a second soon after that when we started to DRIVE forward with the ball and weren't scared. We let Man City off, Kolarov was suspect, Lescott was suspect. Boyata was on a bloody yellow card and Dyer was scared to take him on! Rodwell and Garcia were gash. City were there for the taking, they looked sloppy and complacent after going 2 up. Oh well. At least Sam Bailey got a great reception, unlike our players.
dynamark Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 watched on a Belgian channel zig a zag .They did a really professional job on us doubled on Dyer and hit us quick on the left several times .Couple of really clever fouls around halfway line we were on the break cynical but good.Knocky wanted to show what he had but has got to be told PEARSON!to stay on his feet.Management issue to be dealt with now.James did very well I thought didn't look out of place.Nug and GTF no match for top prem players sadly and have a lot to prove in the Championship.Vardy sorry love the effort but no long term. Could learn a lot from the game and video replay to just show the difference hope it is an opportunity to analysis and improve.
