Captain... Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Our 2 best chances of creating a goal are Dyer and Knocky, they need to be closer together. Knocky was about the only player who could actually weight the ball through to Dyer, so many times Konch/Drinky/King over/under hit or delayed a through ball to Dyer. Knocky needs to be in the middle behind the striker and a Dyer equivalent on the right, possibly Vardy. Knocky on the right leaves us very unbalanced he wanders a lot looking for the ball and trying to create something, not a bad thing, but when you have Was at RB he will be very exposed. I would love to see this: Kasper Morgan Was RDL-----------------Konch Drinkwater---King Vardy----Knocky----Dyer Nuge/Wood
Oxfordfox83 Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 I'd just love to see him in the hole with a Dzeko type ahead of him. His pace wouldn't be an issue then and we'd get so much more out of his running. Also, he wouldn't have to track back and make his own tackles!

All I'd change is I'd buy a new RW, or (possibly, and might be a stretch too far) have Schlupp there cutting in...
Captain... Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Dammit, you beat me to it. All I'd change is I'd buy a new RW, or (possibly, and might be a stretch too far) have Schlupp there cutting in... I did have Schlupp originally, but I also had 12 men on the pitch so I changed it. Konch is better in a back 4, I do love a back 3 with wing backs, but that just doesn't fit and we look so light weight in the middle: Kasper Moore Morgan Was RDL-----------------Schlupp Drinkwater Vardy----Knocky----Dyer Nuge/Wood
cjslcfc Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 I pity anyone who doesn't want Knocky in the side. As Col put it he is a talent far and above the rest of our players so it must frustrate him sometimes. I'm sure we all got frustrated when we saw our players on the ball with no one moving or making runs ahead of them. Either way, with or without us he is going to make it in the prem. If he had pace he'd be there already
teblin Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 He gives the ball away more than other as he tries to make things happen. He was poor yesterday, but wasn't the only one
lgfualol Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Yesterday seemed like he was trying really hard but things just weren't working for him, so he looked frustrated. No way do we get rid of him.
Silverdaz Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 It's called creativity. Wins us games, and also looses us them. But my god, I wish we had a team of Knockaerts. Crikey if we had a team of Knockaerts we would end up getting relegated he needs to know when to pass the ball and also not leave his full back exposed
Johnny Cash Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 For every error he makes he recovers with a moment of class. If you genuinely think we'd be better off without him then I don't know what to say, bemused.
Johnny Cash Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Crikey if we had a team of Knockaerts we would end up getting relegated he needs to know when to pass the ball and also not leave his full back exposed Maybe if the manager dropped that slob Nugent and played Knockeart in the hole, because he is clearly not a winger, then he wouldn't leave his full back exposed.
Bayfox Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Crikey if we had a team of Knockaerts we would end up getting relegated he needs to know when to pass the ball and also not leave his full back exposed no we'd just need 11 balls as well. Anyone who thinks knocky is the problem is mad, he's the answer, it's just pearson won't or can't find a system to fit him into that builds a side around him, he's clearly not a winger as such, but he's pushed out there because even pearson as worked out he's a match winner so shoehorns him in somewhere, although this keep hauling him off at half time is not helping. For me we may need to play a bit more like a brazilian side. A back 4 with 2 protecting such as james and DD meaning the fullbacks provide with then we can have a narrow 3 behind a striker. Knocky, King and Dyer for example behind vardy who works his socks off meaning we could have 4 attacking players close together and able to rotate a bit. My only flaw is we have nothing in terms of height then, but maybe that's not a bad thing, ask spain.
joeasis Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 he's one of the most skillful players in the league, imo our best attacking threat to.
breadandcheese Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Would you start him against QPR in what is the biggest game of the season? Undoubtedly, he is the most skillful member of the squad, but through his errors, he cost us two goals last night. All the neat tricks and bits of skill mean nothing if the end result is going 2-0 down. Admittedly, on another day, he can be the difference, but it is increasingly coming across as a gamble, which I'm not sure we can afford to take against QPR.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Always been a frustrating yet brilliant player think he always will be

Yes from me and the reason is I don't think we've looked reliable in the slightest without him in the side. Would you trust a 4-3-3 with Hammond, King & Drinkwater to get a draw? I'd be absolutely certain of a defeat myself.

Personally i would, I'd rather we started him and had a go than have another Brighton like performance with little creativity on the pitch.

I agree against QPR we need to go with pace so it has to be 3 in the middle and Vardy,Nugent and Dyer up top
MattyFromLE Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 There is always someone to blame isn't there? Win = every Leicester player is awesome vs Lose = Let's find a new scapegoat. It's stupid. Win as a team, lose as a team. We could always bring back Momo Sylla, and have him on the wing?!
Babylon Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Bloke has more natural ability than almost any player i've seen pull on a city shirt. He's wasted out wide though, no support, no pace. Which means he relies on tricks to get past people, and they are always going to be hit and miss.
breadandcheesebrother Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 He's a very good player who has a lot of potential to fulfil, which is not unreasonable because he is young. But if he can't stop conceding possession in the reckless way he sometimes does, then he'll remain champo level or at best on the subs bench for some sh1tcake prem side like fulham.
thybluefox Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 He is inconsistent, but show me a player like him that isn't (And if you do, I can guarantee they won't be playing in this league.) He was unlucky last night that it happened to be the times he gave the ball away that they scored. Konch, Wes, Drinkwater all gave the ball away on multiple occasions while trying just do the simple things like pass to another player in blue. We didn't lose last night because of Knockaert, we lost because they were (£190million) better.
