riyad mahrez - Who knows....

This is intriguing but I would rather take Zaha on loan from manue.

We won't get zaha. Why would they loan him back to the championship, a league he tore up last year while dragging palace to promotion, when he could get a decent premier league suitor at teams like Newcastle.

Riyad Mahrez is a realistic and affordable target who would fit our FFP situation and looks like he will be effective for us. Fingers crossed for a deal in the next few days.

What I'm looking forward to most is in the event we do not sign him..

The amount of people who will come back on and say..

"well I think we dodged a bullet there lads" lol

Haha you know Lee.

He hasn't RTed you, but he's gone for this one:

@Melt_OnIceCream: @Mahrez22 Riyad Mahrez venez LCFC et vous jouerez dans l'EPL avec nous la saison prochaine ! #Great Player

Wouldn't surprise me if it was just Mahrez in, Danns out and that was our Jan business done. Don't know anything about Mahrez but we need a winger more than a CM and we'd prob save a wedge on the wage bill - sounds like good business to me.

I'd still like to see us sign another striker though - someone like Becchio on-loan from Norwich. Good player and proven at this level, a bit of a different option to our other strikers too.

Ps Today's Merc says Bolton want Danns permanently so lets hope it happens.

LCCFox96 you may be correct in Zaha going out to a prem side, but it would be interesting to know if we still can take their players on loan. What makes you think Newcastle ?

Agreed and doubt they'd have problem with players like the keanes, Larnell cole and tunnicliffe going to championship sides like us but not zaha, he too good for championship and needs to develop higher up.

Honestly just an example I used based on some media reports. Could be anyone in that sort 7th-15th placed group tbh.

Tbh I think you may be right. Danns not being on the bench in Sunday told us he's likely to be going. Even waghorn came back onto the bench when he came back. I'd stick schlupp on the out list as a loan though and then maybe we can use the loan market for a higher standard striker - like becchio.

Even though we've been to scout him three times?

Well I stand corrected! Sure you understand people being cynical with the amount of fabricated crap on Twitter.

I would too - might be that he does go out if someone comes in. I think he could do with the change to be honest. Send him on loan to a lower end Champ side and hopefully he'd come back a better player.

Swear this guy just retweets anything LCFC related. If that isn't a sign he is coming here, I don't know what is. Very strange behaviour otherwise!

It is strange that he is doing so.

Someone who has something to do with Le Havre has tweeted him something regarding Leicester as well.

Don't get your point ?

They are youtube videos of goals.

Work ethic and putting 100% in was my point.

My point is anyone can look good at in any way on Youtube if the right footage is picked, just because he looks committed in all of 3 minutes worth of game footage doesn't mean he plays like that for 90 minutes every week, much like De Vries doesn't score overheads every week.

Doesn't appear to be the most loyal person re tweeting all stuff like this while still ccontracted and performing for another club.

Not professional at all, if Pearson is impressed by his ability he might be having doubts over his personality.

I wouldn't read too much into the re-tweets. One of them said 'don't go to Leicester, you deserve better than that'. Either he's re-tweeting anything and everything concerning a transfer or he's unusually self-indulgent and simple, even by footallers' standards (ie just loves having his name mentioned, but can't unravel the semantics of what the tweets are actually saying).

As for NP's interview, I read that as Pearson saying 'I've never heard of him - you tell me who he is', but the newspaper speculation indicates that I'm wrong.

Is it unprofessional? It's a little unusual, but I'm not sure it's wrong. If he is coming here then all he's doing is announcing that he's looking for a move away (like Kasey Keller, Theo Zagorakis, Muzzy Izzet etc. did a few years back for us). He's out of contract soon, so it would also be unprofessional (from a career viewpoint) for him to make no attempt to look out for his long-term future. But the contradictory nature of the RTs is strange.

Is twitter really the place to be doing it?

It's totally unprofessional whatever his intentions are. These things should be being sorted behind closed doors with the relevant people, not broadcast to the World.

How would you feel if Morgan, Nugent etc started re tweeting fans saying sign for my club this summer or links of teams allegedly trying to sign them?

I wouldn't be happy about it at all.

Have to agree I imagine a few reasons for it could be that either that it's already a done deal or he has a massive ego and loves to see his own name.  Either way he should probably have more respect for his current team and supporters.

I must say though some of the tweets to him from Leicester fans are pretty embarrassing almost begging him to sign for Leicester when really they probably have no idea who he is

Spot on there.

Embarrassing stuff.

I'm glad others have mentioned it. I almost shattered my spine cringing at some of those tweets.

Especially people typing out chants and tweeting them him. Jesus.

He looks like he will be effective for us! Have you seen him play then? Until we see him first hand, its impossible to judge him.

How can you say that in this world of free data and football management games !!
