Guest Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Pretty sure I said Le Havre and didn't mention individual players. And why do you think Knocky wanted out of the second division in France - because the level is lower. That QPR thug was playing for one of the top teams in the first division last season and they thought he was good.
Dan Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 don't get too exited about Le Havre - they don't play our level of football. They played at a higher level than Guingamp did (who've had successive promotions I believe).
Dan Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Nothing about giving him an Italian car then ? 'kinell.

Well knockaert isn't too bad and he was playing in the second tier of French football.
little Brian Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 it does have a certain element of feeder club about it , but to say french teams in their top flight couldnt survive in the championship is utter boll******s
little Brian Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 How much French second division have you watched? Even the first division has teams that couldn't stay up in the championship. Don't think of the French national team and then equate them to French football. There is little cream in France the best are usually French speaking africans playing here until they can get out. utter crap
TJB-fox Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 I think people are forgetting about Kermorgant, he came from ligue 2 and although it didn't work out here, he's actually doing well for Charlton, good target man
pazzerfox Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Due to join in Jan - 2.5 year deal Don't know much about him at all How do you know?
KFS Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 I think people are forgetting about Kermorgant, he came from ligue 2 and although it didn't work out here, he's actually doing well for Charlton, good target manWash your fvcking mouth out.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Just spent Xmas with him. Sorry folks, but he want's to join Wycombe Wanderers!
TJB-fox Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Wash your fvcking mouth out. haha knew someone wouldn't be happy! To be fair did you see his free kick versus Brighton yesterday, brilliant
kingfox Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Wash your fvcking mouth out. Come on Steve, he's fookin decent. Did you see his free kick at the weekend, Ronaldo-esque it was. EDIT. It's not the weekend is it, you fookin thick twat.
Guest Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 ickle bri there are only 5 or 6 teams in ligue 1 that would be good enough to fight out promotion in the championship.
Filbert_Ross Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Defo went to the Knockaert school of retweets.
Molson Canadian Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 According to a news article I found that I can't link to this for some reason, its in French I think I've been able to pick out a transfer fee of around 400,000 euros and that there might be interest from Torino as well.
Carl the Llama Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 what does "Leicester fait une offre pour Mahrez" mean ? Literally "Leicester make an offer for Mahrez". Goes on to talk about us wanting him on a 3.5 year contract. Interestingly, the one comment is a Le Havre fan despairing at the idea that they may lose a player with "real potential". I've not seen any footage of the lad though so for me it's far too early to start dreaming of another Knockaert-esque revelation.
Babylon Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 don't get too exited about Le Havre - they don't play our level of football.Neither did Knockaert's team and he's the most naturally skilful player we've had in a decade if not more.
Guest Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 I keep saying I'm not judging or knocking the player. There are some great north African players over here. Just made a simple fact about the standard of league 2 (and a lot of league 1) teams.
Stadt Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Knocky hadn't actually played Ligue 2 football had he? I thought he joined us when Guingamp got promoted to Ligue 2.
Bert Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Vardy had only played at Conference level before we signed him. Look at him now. Pearson and/or his staff are one of the best at spotting talent, mixing it with experienced heads and building a squad from it.
AnotherShitSeason Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 He knows how many times we've been over to France scouting in the past few weeks. Let's hope they took a slightly longer look than when they went 'scouting' Bakayogo. :xmasohmy:
Tielemans63 Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Found this article but unfortunately I don't speak French: Riyad Mahrez est un peintre et décorateur franco-algérien. Il vit avec une écureuil nommé bertrand qu'il considère comme son guide spirituel. Mahrez est un passionné de taxidermie et maintient une taupe en peluche dans sa poche toujours.
