Unabomber Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Oh I do apologise, I forgot how important this forum was to most of your lives.
Uncle Albert Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Nah, the people who actually know me on here will gladly tell you I couldn't give a toss.
Manwell Pablo Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 You know you said 08-10 don't you? You're digging a bit now. I think he meant it's been on it's arse since the 2008 -2010 period ended, meaning it's been crap since 2010. I'd say more late 2009 but to be fair it's better now than it was a couple of years ago I couldn't actually come on here without losing my temper circa 2012

Charl91 Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 You've made yourself look a sad act by letting a non Leicester fan come on the forum for the past 6 years get inside your head. That doesn't make sense.
Leeds Fox Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 This is going to sound a little bitchy probably but wanted an honest opinion. I think I'm up to about 5000 odd posts on here and am a passionate Foxes fan despite having the wrong accent and being born on the wrong place but to parents with the right club at heart. I've lived up here and been going regularly for about 16 years now rather than the sporadic visits prior to that as I lived in the south of the Country. Anyway sometimes I feel completely ignored on here, I make points, good bad or indifferent it just seems to get passed by and ignored. So in the true vein of Babylon and others, should I just pack this place in? It seems like I'm talking to myself. I tried to suggest a Christmas get together a few weeks back but I'm guessing that already happens for those in the know and the invited few. Maybe I'm just a dick and need to **** right off. Either way Happy New Year to everyone, lets hope it sees us back in the top flight I rarely ever post, but I do read almost everything on here. It seems unless you post something ridiculous, insulting or controversial you won't get a reply. I'm sure people just read a sensible, fair post and carrying on scrolling. They aren't going to waste their time saying 'I agree Mack, good post.' Hence, why this topic, which people could quite easily create a debate about or take the p***, got a fair few responses. Some of the peoples attitudes on here do stink of self-importance. It's almost as if having a season ticket, a replica shirt and 'x' amount of posts means you have a greater knowledge of football that somebody else. Which in truth this is certainly not the case. In short, you may as well be controversial or be ignored. Unfortunately.
Donut Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Nah, the people who actually know me on here will gladly tell you I couldn't give a toss. Im surprised people will actually admit to knowing you to be honest.
Raj Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 I do take note of what you say Mike....i mean Mack!
purpleronnie Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 At least no-one is taking a football forum too seriously...oh...wait...
Voll Blau Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Nah, the people who actually know me on here will gladly tell you I couldn't give a toss. S'alright. We can tell you don't give a toss by the fact you responded to every single post aimed at you.
Haydos Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 S'alright. We can tell you don't give a toss by the fact you responded to every single post aimed at you. Sounds suspiciously like a Forest fan
Uncle Albert Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 Search the 'One Last Hurrah' thread, now that was when FoxesTalk was funny and you could have a laugh on here.
Samilktray Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 Search the 'One Last Hurrah' thread, now that was when FoxesTalk was funny and you could have a laugh on here.Very nostalgic. Thank you for bringing this up, been trying to remember the name of that thread for a while.
Captain... Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 Search the 'One Last Hurrah' thread, now that was when FoxesTalk was funny and you could have a laugh on here. FFS, maybe if some of the Old Skool Crew stopped bitching about the good old days and started actually posting something funny or amusing once in a while instead of being antagonistic, then we may return to the mythical good old times. As Gandhi once said: Be the change you want to see in Foxestalk.
lcfcsnow Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 Search the 'One Last Hurrah' thread, now that was when FoxesTalk was funny and you could have a laugh on here. Possibly the worst thread I've ever read, maybe I missed something but all I read was an attention seeking child threatens to leave and the forum clique pined for his return, he returned and the threads closed. If that was the standard then the site has improved tenfold. Shame you're still hanging around to put it down.
Uncle Albert Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 You can only be funny if the audience you are funny to have a sense of humour, unfortunately with modern day FoxesTalk they are few and far between. The glory days you had NSLL (Asha), Father Ted, Jake Shingler, ASH17LCFC (Hugo Sanchez), DB11 and others who could take a bit of a laugh and nothing was taken seriously, you say something on here now and it's "Why are you even on here?" or "Go to KopTalk", well original them. lcfcsnow Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 It was before my time so I obviously missed the point. Seems not everyone in the thread got it either though, back in the 'glory days'.

Wow a Liverpool fan harping on about the good old days, and blaming everyone else for the current plight, you don't get many of them. Now come on dazzle us with your wit in your response, no seriously, have a laugh and stop taking it so seriously.

People on here still have a sense of humour, what's changed is that those lot aren't saying anything remotely humorous. For instance Ted seems to just post variants of "drop nugent" nowadays, DB11 hangs around the computer forum helping people, the others have gone. As for telling you to go to koptalk - you're bitching about how it's not how it used to be - in that case why not **** off - if you don't enjoy the forum and you don't support the club, why hang around?

cityfanlee23 Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 I am only enjoying this because for once, It's not all aimed at me
Dan Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 I've just read the whole thread. If that thread was the peak of the 'glory days' then I can quite confidently say that some people have quite a blinkered view on them.

Hahaha KopTalk isn't even a forum, I don't think anyway. I'm hardly hanging around, it isn't like I am trolling all you Leicester fans is it? I've never had any intention of that, I came on here because I socially hung around with people on here, people like Maybes, Bert, Tommeh, Tubes, Tevez, Sparky, lildave3, Tilley, Milktray, Ched, Joe., JME and then met people at FoxesTalk gatherings. So yeah it used to be a right laugh on here, even Manwell and Finnegan would tell you that, nothing was taken seriously. You can't say anything on here anymore unless its about politics, footballers diving or what not, the slightest bit of piss taking or say something that the masses doesn't like then there is an uproar. I daren't imagine some of you on here with the likes of MasterFox and TPH on top form!
