Am I wasting my time here?

Col you wont understand Daggers because you signed up in 2011, simple, I will attempt to find a thread before he decided to act like a bell all the time.

I can't be bothered, if you can search his topics do so you will see before sort of 2009 time he was completely different

You've  definitely changed Man Pabs....................it started ever since Thracian's love child Alan Sheehan told you to eff off. lol

He didn't actually tell me to eff off, I can't even remember his exact words now lol

Still can't believe I had a professional footballer stalker because of this website

For all of you berating Lofty with abuse (Uncle Albert) I think you need to understand one or two things

For starts he's been to a lot of Leicester games and cheered the lads on, probably more away days than a lot of people in here slinging mud at him, so to say he's should go away because he's a Liverpool fan is a little unfair. Secondly he's been around here awhile and has played for the forum against the likes of Talking Balls, Bentleys Roof, Internet Foxes, etc and helped raise money for charity. It goes a little bit deeper than just knocking around with 5 or 6 lads off the forum he probably knows about 50 people who used to/still do post here and attend games in total.

Finally, I don't know why but a lot of the old posters try to demonstrate how good it used to be when questioned by dragging up an old thread from General chat containing about 50 in jokes which obviously no one gets and so everyone wonders why people look back fondly at a by gone FT era. The forums main strength back in the day was LCFC chat, we were an absolute shower of a team and struggled in the bottom half of the Championship for about 3 seasons running, and as such the place didn't have quite so many members, those that were though were in the main proper football fans (it still somewhat irritates that people who come flooding into the forum and the stadium since we've started to compete again but I digress) and between us there was a great knowledge of opposing teams, potential signings (where we had to be creative due to having £0) and most of the forum could name the starting XI of the reserves and the youth team, Thracian even used to go down to all the development games and give us (albeit slightly biased) reports. There were actual relevant knowledgeable discussions, General Chat was a dick about and unless you understand the way people acted at the time you're probably not going to get threads like the one Albert posted.

I don't think anyone has actually said he should piss off because he's a Liverpool fan, they've told him to piss of because he's constantly moaning about the quality of the forum, and posting in an antagonistic manner. And also he's harking on about a time his mates all posted here that apparently no longer do. So he doesn't like the forum, he's horrible to people and his mates are long gone, add to that football wise he doesn't even support Leicester, people are a bit miffed why he bothers posting. People are laying into him for his general cuntishness to anyone who isn't a member of those 50 odd people who posted 6 or so years ago. Sure it's nice to go somewhere where you know lots of people, but this isn't a pub, or a sports team, it's an Internet forum open to everyone. It's a very good Internet forum at that (I know for my part I didn't know this place existed until 2008 and have been hooked ever since) so as such has gained lots of members, you can't really moan too much, it's beyond your control. If you don't like something leave, or ignore the posters who piss you off, don't spend it talking to anyone you've not met personally like their something you've just trod on in the street.

Credit to Lamby he doesn't try and convince us that Charlton are a great team. Might be regarded as a fool if he did.

he's always regarded a fool

Well said, much better put than I did.

Whoever is moaning about this forum doesn't know they are born.  They want to take a look at some other football forums.

Seriously - I am a member of a couple of other forums and you can't post in some of them without having the utter shite ripped out of you.  There are constant bitchfests, wars between cliques and trolling, as well as people coming back after bans under multiple aliases and threatening to take each other out in the real world or posting garbage new threads in General Chat like "Who is your favourite Keith?" or "What are your top 5 all time favourite sandwich spreads?".

I've been here a while and IMHO it was a great place and it remains a great place.

Suck it up and enjoy it, but for crying out loud, enough with the whingefest...

From what I've seen this was basically Foxestalk several years ago.

Everybody knew each other outside of the forum and even if they didn't see eye to eye they'd still have a drink or whatever. It was a lot more social so grudges weren't hold because it was a small forum who regularly met up.

Facecloth and Haydos, read the name of this thread to yourselves..

Oh wait, was this antagonistic? lol

Of course it's not, but you know most of your posts are. Anyone not from your clique from 6 years ago gets jumped on by you for anything they say that you don't agree with, with a condescending post. If you do agree with them you just ignore them, because it's not an old mate.

You know how pathetic harking on about the old days is and longing for your mates? I'd suggest if you mainly spoke through an Internet forum they weren't really mates, or you need to do what the rest if us do and invest in a mobile phone to keep in touch. And really do you not see the irony of all this nostalgic whinging whilst saying others take the forum too seriously?

TPH was being a bit of dick recently, but at least he was man enough to admit it and apologies. I mean we're all here to pass the time and enjoy discussing things, we're not here to have post directed at us like we're a piece if shit because we didn't happen to post in 2007. It's an Internet forum, new people join, get over it.

You're joking right?

How about people who simply just don't know about the forum and then one day stumble across it? Clearly they aren't proper fans. I never thought thought to look for an online forum because I always talked to friends and family.

Having been a member of the forum for a while doesn't make someone a 'proper football fan'. Maybe they just have less off line friends.

Ridiculous post.

Think it's better now just because the Lcfc forum is much happier than say in 2008

You should've seen the official LCFC forum before it was shut down shortly after the Micky Adams era.

It was a real joy having to browse back several pages when you wanted to reply to a post, you couldn't just choose page numbers. :D

And in 2003/2004, internet in general was also still a bit slower than today.

Then along came Foxestalk - and the rest is history.

It genuinely was better back then. There was a large group of knowledgeable posters and lively, informed discussion in the lcfc forum. Threads in here (gen chat) sometimes really took off also. Perhaps they were just more innocent, carefree times. It maybe helped that expectation from the team was almost zero. I miss Thracian's genuine enthusiasm for players coming through - a McKay, a gradel, a porter, a tommy tejan-sie. Etc.

You'll be exactly like him in a few years time. lol

I don't slag people off, and make up assumptions, just because of the stuff they post on a forum ;)
