Bert Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 So who would your front pairing be? Gonna be a big loss but I think I'd be tempted to start Waghorn with Nugent, he will know these lads fairly well after having been there for a few months.
Dickov22 Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 GTF for me. He'll hold the ball up well and Nugent will have a good game. Please. Not. Waggy
Guest kristianity77 Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 Go with Nuge up front on his own. Play GTF in the middle 4 and let Knocky do what he wants.
Libertine Dream Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 Absolutely ****ing ridiculous that he got booked today
Father Ted Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 I'd be very tempted to start GTF but after watching him play with Nugent against Man City it would be silly to start them together again. Step up Jeff Schlupp. I know it won't happen though.
Tielemans63 Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 Just been praising JV in the post-match thread - he'll be a massive loss. I'd prob give Waggy an opportunity, I don't think GTF has the legs to start a game. It's a lightning slow front line though - the loss of JV's pace makes us a lot less threatening IMHO. Jeff seems to be out of the picture right now plus I don't think he's done enough to deserve a start tbh.
lcfc1994 Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 Could start with both waggy and wood, as they've both played for Millwall recently.
kingfox Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 Taylor-Fletcher, after today I can see him being prolific in front of goal.
Lobsterboyuk Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 I'm expecting Waghorn although GTF has a shout after a decent contribution today from the bench. Think Schlupp will be back in the squad but expect him to be a sub.
ousefox Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 433 Knockaert-Nugent-Dyer GTF, or go 4-3-3 Knocky Nuge Dyer Beat me to it!
Tielemans63 Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 Could start with both waggy and wood, as they've both played for Millwall recently. Wood isn't fit yet is he?
MC Prussian Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 Waghorn knows how Millwall work and will be burning to play against them. I think he should start and give their defense a good run for the money.
Kitchandro Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 It's a blow, no doubt. I don't think he's replaceable tbh. No one else is going to work as hard as him and make so many runs. Waghorn is the closest we've got, so I'd go for him with Nugent. GTF is way too static for an away match. We need hard work up front, so much of our game is based on tempo, winning the ball back and putting pressure on the opposition.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 I guess I'd give Waggy a chance. Better option to start the game than GTF imo
Unabomber Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 4 5 1 same back 4 Knocky Drinkwater James King Dyer Nugent
NewburyFox Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 Probably Waghorn and Nugent, although I would be tempted to start GTF just behind Nuge. No idea why Vardy was booked, he didn't do anything.
LMlcfc Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 start with waghorn and bring on GTF 60-70 minutes
Matt Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 Don't get me wrong Nugent is trying, he is giving 100% but if I played i'd give 100%, doesn't mean i'm any good though likewise Nuge is giving 100% but at this moment in time he isn't good enough, think that's a fair assessment? But despite all that with Wood injured, we haven't got many other options, because i'd say you have to go with Nugent (Being a 'senior' 'experienced' head) and either Schlupp or Waghorn, seeing as Waghorn has been there on loan, he knows the players at Millwall, he's played against them in training, I think Waghorn could shine in this game. In short - Nugent and Waghorn up front for me please. I like GTF, he does a job, but he's not a player we should start with, he is a 20 minute player off the bench for me.
Unabomber Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 I ****ing swear on me mum he better get his mates to sort him out.
kingfox Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 Or maybe we will loan Jordan Rhodes and sign him permanently after.
