damolcfc Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Cannot wait till we are in the Prem so we can take Fulham's best young players off them when they are in the championship next season.challenge u to name a good Fulham youngster?bet we look elsewhere ;-)
Soar Fox Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 challenge u to name a good Fulham youngster? bet we look elsewhere ;-) I was about to say the same thing. When was the last time Fulham bought a decent youngster up through their academy?
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 challenge u to name a good Fulham youngster? bet we look elsewhere ;-) Errrrrrrrrm I am struggling and I am sure we will look elsewhere!
lgfualol Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Looking at the Fulham forum.. I think we touched a nerve with our comments.
Jimothy Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 challenge u to name a good Fulham youngster? bet we look elsewhere ;-) Sascha Riether according to BT sport!
Manwell Pablo Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Promotion push with boyhood team or relegation battle with Fulham... hmmm. One thing we're all forgetting, we probably aren't paying him much, they'll probably sling him 5 figures a week EDIT: Two million is nowhere near enough though have to double before even taking it seriously.
damolcfc Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Looking at the Fulham forum.. I think we touched a nerve with our comments. small fish in a big pond fulham fc
jayfox26 Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 I think it is highly unlikely we will sell any of our best players in January. Liam is still learning and he will be learning lots from both Nigel and big Wes. A relegation battle is not good for a young lad to progress and if he went there he would either be on the bench or struggle in the first team, cos lets be honest, although Liam is great, he's not the answer to Fulhams defensive problems. I doubt Liam will want to leave now and I doubt the club will sell him. The owners will know we need to keep the squad together if we want promotion. And also the club will know that you can't replace a quality player that has come through the youth ranks. I also doubt that any club would bid anywhere near the £5m+ that we would want for him as that would be a massive gamble on a young player who has only really broke through this season.
norfolkfox222 Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Looking at the Fulham forum.. I think we touched a nerve with our comments. f**k them beyond tinpot, pathetic support home and away.
Cincinnati Fox Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 **** off Andy Carroll worth 35 mill Liam moore 2!!
GingerrrFox Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Just gives more ammo for Liams agent to get him a new contract. I can't see him going anywhere until at least the summer. If we get promotion, he will stay for a good while in the future.
Ric Flair Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 He's on about £5000 a week maximum, he might be one of our own but his agent did very well to get him a new deal last season with the media reports of Man Utd after him. Now there is genuine interest, his agent will again be doing his bit to get Liam a new deal. We aren't necessarily in a position to be giving out new deals yet so we could see a bit of brinkmanship for the rest of this month, i'm sure clubs will be aware of this. That said, we'd not sell for anything less than £4 million IMO.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 This is one of the most depressing things about being out of the Prem, clubs like Fulham with their Prem league cash can try and nick our players. Fair enough if its one of the top 7or 8 Prem teams but Fulham, I find it hard to stomach. Things can change though next season.
norfolkfox222 Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Dont sell our moore, our own Liam Moore I just dont think you'll understand, That if you sell our Moore our own Liam Moore, You're gonna have a riot on your hands......
BrummieFOX Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 I can't imagine we'd let him for for less than £4m and they won't up it to anywhere near that. Hopefully nothing to worry about.
Soar Fox Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Sascha Riether according to BT sport! Ah the 30 year old, German right back. BT sport on the ball as ever.
Guest seanfox778 Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 They've even called him Luke Moore on the SkySports app. It makes no sense to break up the team now for whatever sensible or stupid offers that come in, if anything they'd be worth more in the summer anyway should we get promoted.
nickelbyfox Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Would definitely not want him to leave and think he should be worth at least £5 mil. Fulham are panic buying at the moment so we shall see
cityfanlee23 Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 I was about to say the same thing. When was the last time Fulham bought a decent youngster up through their academy? Well... tbh until liam moore you could say the same about us... We've produced 1 good player in how long? they have bought in Kasami from Palermo at about 17, One of the best prospects they have... Obviously not his boyhood club.. but certainly started in the youth team/reserve team Fulham do not bring a lot through, but they have shite facilities, for the quality of our facilities we have a poor turnover of quality players..
Guest Col city fan Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Interesting one this. 2m is a decent sum of money these days. Im delighted we've rejected it and this must show we really rate Moore and that we intend to get promoted!
JayT - Always A Fox! Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 If a decent team came in for him - and when I say decent I mean a team who is an established Premier League team that is not in a relegation battle like Fulham who in my opinion have been a sinking ship for years now - then he will go. However we must be asking for around 5mil for him purely based on homegrown, English talent who is playing week in - week out at a table topping team. I personally would hope that Liam has a decent agent and he himself will learn from the likes of Stears and Mattock in recent years.
Guest ttfn Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Interesting one this. 2m is a decent sum of money these days. Are you stuck in 1994?
Soar Fox Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Well... tbh until liam moore you could say the same about us... Stearman had a few seasons in the premiership, granted he might not be the best but still came through our academy. Mattock was highly rated at 18/19 and was the second youngest player to represent England under 21's. Andy King, only joined Leicester at the age of 14 or 15 but has still racked up over 200 appearances for us with an impressive goal return.
qwerty123 Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 I think i'd take £5m for us to consider him leaving You've got to weigh up that we do have strength in depth - and if we get promoted we'd be able to invest in areguably better defenders. £5 million is a substantial amount of money. Plus they may consider loaning some players to us as part of a deal Still - I'd be surprised if he'd even considered leaving. Maybe if we werent in such a good position
