Uncle Albert Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Tell me in a logical way how that made him look stupid? Oh forgive me, seeing a player throw his body on the line like that for my Country in a crucial World Cup game gives me goosebumps, what a big girl I am for that.
Captain... Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 credit where it is due, this one was brave: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GEB-TYLMmQ
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 As I say whether he looks a little silly in the process or not you have to admire his commitment.
RobHawk Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 credit where it is due, this one was brave: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GEB-TYLMmQ Should have scored!
foxfanazer Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Yes please! Say what you want about Terry as a person but as a footballer he is class. If we take Chris Smalling I really do despair. Awful footballer only in with a shout because of the club he plays for
Sharpe's Fox Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Still the best defender we have and he probably knows it. He plays against world class strikers twice a week in PL and CL so why not. He may not like the FA but who does?
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 Never a more overrated defender than this guy. 5 appearances in the FIFA Team of the Year.
Dan Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 I don't, we are not going to win the World Cup with or without Terry, so I would rather cheer us on to our inevitable disappointment without that cvnt. This. Conveniently back in time for the World Cup eh.
Samilktray Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 5 appearances in the FIFA Team of the Year. My quality of living has improved ten fold now I know this. I appreciate that.
Bert Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 My quality of living has improved ten fold now I know this. I appreciate that. It's apparently the bench mark for what makes a player good or not.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 He's lost it, but the alternatives are hardly better. I'd certainly consider it, give him the game at Denmark and see how it pans out. I do think the likes of Terry are the people we need to be building away from.
Uncle Albert Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 Lost it?! Don't make me laugh, Terry at the age of 33 has played every League game this season for the team 3rd in the League and challenging for the title. Fantastic defender and England's loss is Chelsea's gain when it comes to John Terry.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 I didn't mean in general, I meant internationally.
Charl91 Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 No. No chance. If he wants to play that desperately, he can do it after the world cup. If he wanted to play in the WC that badly, he shouldn't have retired. It would be a joke to let him back now - what sort of message does that send to the players who actually did qualify? We'll just have our best players "retiring" for friendlies and qualification, then coming back to play in the important games.
Dan Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 It's a lose/lose. We take him - we inevitably don't do anything spectacular and we've ended up letting one man be bigger than the team. We don't take him - we inevitably don't do anything spectacular but probably do worse than if we'd taken him, although not significantly worse. Looking at the bigger picture, I could fully respect Hodgson for not taking him.
The People's Hero Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 Regardless of whether he comes out of retirement, if we win the thing, he'll be there in full kit to lift the trophy!
Strokes Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Its not often i agree wholeheartedly with CPF but i would rather go out of the world cup with some dignaty. Dont let this CÙNT anywhere near the team.
cityfanlee23 Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 I'd have him back like a shot... Sick to the back teeth of these piss weak defenders falling over in challenges, bring back that proper old english centre half, Into the box. Tackle. Fvcking Tackle. Bang.. Would organise the circus of a defence we have at the moment
James. Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Its not often i agree wholeheartedly with CPF but i would rather go out of the world cup with some dignaty. Dont let this CÙNT anywhere near the team. Yeah but he puts his body on the line mate. BODY ON THE LINE.
