Yes please! Say what you want about Terry as a person but as a footballer he is class.

If we take Chris Smalling I really do despair. Awful footballer only in with a shout because of the club he plays for

Still the best defender we have and he probably knows it. He plays against world class strikers twice a week in PL and CL so why not. He may not like the FA but who does?

He's lost it, but the alternatives are hardly better. I'd certainly consider it, give him the game at Denmark and see how it pans out. I do think the likes of Terry are the people we need to be building away from.

Don't make me laugh, Terry at the age of 33 has played every League game this season for the team 3rd in the League and challenging for the title.

No. No chance. If he wants to play that desperately, he can do it after the world cup. If he wanted to play in the WC that badly, he shouldn't have retired. It would be a joke to let him back now - what sort of message does that send to the players who actually did qualify?

We'll just have our best players "retiring" for friendlies and qualification, then coming back to play in the important games.
