Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 I know many of us will be expecting us to beat Leeds on Saturday. Yes they got thrashed 6-0 at the weekend and yes we convincingly beat derby BUT those expecting the Leeds game to be easy, think again!. Leeds away is never an easy game I would take a draw
Foxymcoxy Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 **** that, why would you take a draw? Daft cliché in my opinion. Obviously there is a chance we could get turned over but we are surely favourites and I want a win. Considering the run we've been on I wouldn't be mad at a draw but it's not a great result make no mistake.
Rasmic123 Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 i wouldn't take a draw but I wouldn't be surprised if we dont win, we play terribly away in Yorkshire (see Sheff Wed, Barnsley every season, Huddersfield and Leeds). Although we did beat Millwall this season so maybe our luck is changing

Happy Fox Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Our away form is fantastic because we attack teams from the off, and defensively we are solid, we won't thrash them as that is unlikely but we will beat them if we play well, even if we play in 2nd gear we would still beat them, 2-0 win for City imo.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 13 January 2014 Author Posted 13 January 2014 I would settle for a draw in most away games especially at elland road
MrSpaM Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Sat 11 Jan 2014 - Championship Sheff Wed 6 - 0 Leeds FT Sat 4 Jan 2014 - FA Cup Rochdale 2 - 0 Leeds FT Wed 1 Jan 2014 - Championship Leeds 1 - 2 Blackburn FT Sun 29 Dec 2013 - Championship Nottm Forest 2 - 1 Leeds I'm expecting a win in all honesty...
Foxymcoxy Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 I'm being realistic and using past experiences of games at elland road Leeds will be out to make amends Well, I've been to Elland road twice and we won them both so maybe I don't have the same demons as you, but none of that matters. We are the best team in the league and in form, and they are thoroughly out of form. Expecting a reaction from them and a tough game but no reason we can't win. If you offered me a point now I would definitely play the game instead.
Foxymcoxy Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 17 Oct 2006 Leeds United v Leicester City W 1-2 League Championship 26 Dec 2008 Leeds United v Leicester City D 1-1 League One 24 Aug 2010 Leeds United v Leicester City W 1-2 Carling Cup 19 Oct 2010 Leeds United v Leicester City W 1-2 League Championship 28 Apr 2012 Leeds United v Leicester City W 1-2 League Championship 27 Nov 2012 Leeds United v Leicester City L 1-0 League Championship That's our recent record at Elland road. Nothing to fear lads, just another game we need to go and play well.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 13 January 2014 Author Posted 13 January 2014 Dont forget this it the championship, anything can happen I'm positive but realistic
Captain... Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 I think saying "I would take a draw" is wrong, we are more than good enough to beat these, but if we do end up with a draw I wouldn't be too disappointed, obviously depends on how we play, but they will not be a push over, the Wednesday game will either demoralise them or spur them on to up their game, especially with top of the table visiting. We know what Leicester are like, this just the sort of game we will lose as we are all buzzing from the derby game.
lgfualol Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 As long as we dont leave win 0 points, I'm somewhat pleased.
Soar Fox Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 I would have rather they won on Saturday to be honest. Now they go into a home game on the back of 2 bad results, they won't want to lose again especially at home. Brian McDermott will have them up for this. I'd take a point. Win your home games, draw away.

Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Unless it's nearing the end of the match and we're losing despite a good performance and fight back to earn an equaliser, I'd say a draw would probably be a bad result. Typically I'd say otherwise but they're looking pretty poor at the moment and we're flying - no reason why we can't go all-out on the attack and likely return with 3 points I'd say Leeds will probably play for a draw, a) to save face from their whipping from t'Owls and b) our relevant league standing. We just need to play as we have been and it will be ours for the taking
KIRBYFOX93 Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 I know this is early doors for this but I'm buzzing for this game. Everyone obviously saw the 6-0 drubbing from Sheffield weds at the weekend, I think that has put a lot of pressure on ourselves due to beating in-form Derby. leeds is never an easy place to go and grinding out 3 points there will be no walk in the park Imo. I'm going go for 2-0 Leicester, Vardy and Nuge (pen) Ps Steve Walsh had £50 on Leicester 4 Derby 1 What a shout!!!
The Doctor Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Taking a draw in this is absurd - we've lost one there in the last 6, they're on a losing run, got destroyed by an average Sheffield Wednesday. We meanwhile haven't lost in 6 in the league and are playing brilliant stuff. We should not be settling for a draw.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Honestly think we won't win. Never ever ever win six in a row in the league. Haven't for like twenty years

Yes but as I said, this is the championship, one of the most unpredictable leagues in the world
Vacamion Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 You can't win every single game you play. I'd still like us to win this one, though.
VinceNoir Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Honestly think we won't win. Never ever ever win six in a row in the league. Haven't for like twenty yearsI'm quite certain that the 2-1 against Bristol City a few years ago was our sixth consecutive win. That's what led to the infamous "We are no longer a good Championship team" thread if I remember correctly.Edit: I'm wrong. A 1-1 draw vs Preston was in between all those victories.
Guest kristianity77 Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 The reason we are where we are this season is as much down to us going away to teams and NOT playing for a draw than doing so. Yes, this may of wielded a few away defeats we shouldnt of had but lets make no mistake here, Its much better to go there and throw everything at them than be cautious. Its a hell of a lot better points wise to go away from home and win a few, lose a few, than it is to play for draws. And that reason alone is why we only have 3 draws all season, but 5 defeats, but still sit high and mighty over everyone else.
LCCFox96 Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 As long as aren't on the receiving end of their backlash we should be fine. They'll have a point to prove after that 6-0 which cannot be described as anything other than humiliating. I would still always back the quality in the squad to see us through though. Also think they will be weaker in the flanks with McDermott now starting Kebe and Stewart who are adjusting to the Leeds set up. We know with peltier at right back that he may be shaky and I don't fancy any left backs chances against knockaert. With dyer, knockaert RDL and knoch (potentially) going forward, with the possible introduction of Mahrez,it could be a field day out wide for us.
Fox92 Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Said for ages that January is a tough month... Leeds away is always tough and Middlesbrough are improving. We are good enough to beat Leeds, don't get me wrong. I know Leeds away is always a tough fixture though. Watched the whole game on tv on Saturday and they didn't impress me, in fact, I hope they are that bad against us because if we're up for it (like we have been), then we could easily dominate them let alone win. I'm pleased Smith got sent off. He was the one worry for me. Won all the headers against us earlier in the season; think he hit the bar.
