Guest Col city fan Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 I think it could be circumstances. After Derby, where do we go from there? We were so good it will be difficult to reproduce that kind of performance. Ditto Leeds... they were so bad, the only way they can go is up. They will have got a major bollocking whereas we have had all and sundry saying we are looking shit hot. Its got a dour one nil home win written all over the fooker! It would be great to be completely wrong, of course, and to make it what 6/7 straight wins? Finally, as I said earlier, if we give the likes of Kebe and Stewart the time to get their confidence we will probably be punished. We gotta restrict them to the arse end of nothing for 20 mins. I think thats important.

Crazy league the championship though so not beyond the realms of possibility

There was no energy, desire or will from any department. The body language and lack of effort was that of a team devoid of confidence and direction. That is why I beleve if we start on the front foot and attack with our blistering pace we will tear them a new one! COYB

Honestly mate I haven't even got them on over this we're definitely on the up and they seem in decline to me. We'll obviously see on Saturday, and yes I know these things happen 4+ decades of following our great team tells me that!
Guest shearfox Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 I believe a draw would be a disappointing result... if we play well we win...
Mickey O'Neil Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 That 6-0 thrashing has done us no favours whatsoever. It's made it harder for us if anything. But, I'm fully expecting us to win *if* we can play like the Derby game. They will try to stop us playing. They will be up for this no doubt. I'd take a 1-0 win all day long.
Brooksy Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 I'd take a point even though were hammered by Wednesday on saturday, they are still very strong at home. I know we won on saturday but I'd perhaps change the tactics a little, I notice Leeds struggle more against teams that play on the counter attack style. So team for me GK: Kasper CB: Morgan CB: Moore DM: Hammond RWB: De Laet LWB: Konchesky (If not fit then Schlupp) CM: Drinkwater CM: James AM: Nugent AT: Wood AT: Vardy BENCH: Logan, Wasileswki, Schlupp (Taylor-Fletcher), King, Dyer, Knockaert & Phillips. Are you a Leeds fan?
Leicesterpool Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Having looked at my team sheet, i might give it a little change GK: Kasper CB: Morgan CB: Moore CB: Wasilewski RWB: De Laet LWB: Dyer CM: Drinkwater CM: James AM: Nugent AT: Wood AT: Vardy Knocky had a great night on Friday but there's no where on this formation, where he would fit in. He's an attacking wide midfielder not a wing back!
PAULCFC Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Of course it won't be easy, there are no easy games in this league..............oh.............wait............. I forgot about Leeds! Don't usually say this as i'm a pint pot half empty bloke, but working with some leeds fans even they think we'll murder them....and i have to agree 0-4
Unabomber Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Having looked at my team sheet, i might give it a little change GK: Kasper CB: Morgan CB: Moore CB: Wasilewski RWB: De Laet LWB: Dyer CM: Drinkwater CM: James AM: Nugent AT: Wood AT: Vardy Knocky had a great night on Friday but there's no where on this formation, where he would fit in. Leicesterpool Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Is there anybody in the Leeds team we should fear? still can't find anyone!

They came here and beat us, on the back of losing 5-0 at home to Blackpool I seem to recall. Dangerous, but we should win this.

Carl the Llama Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Having looked at my team sheet, i might give it a little change GK: Kasper CB: Morgan CB: Moore CB: Wasilewski RWB: De Laet LWB: Dyer CM: Drinkwater CM: James AM: Nugent AT: Wood AT: Vardy Knocky had a great night on Friday but there's no where on this formation, where he would fit in. Pearson clearly feels the team's most comfortable in a 442: Kasper De Laet Moore Morgan Miquel Tony James Drinkwater Dyer Vardy Nuge
MattyLCFC Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Don't remember when we last won 6 in a row, 5 in a row 2 times last season and 4 in a row twice this season (now on 5 obviously). But how many stats/records has Pearson equaled/surpassed this past 2 seasons? Now's the time to win 6 in a row for the 1st time in god knows how long!
MC Prussian Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Don't remember when we last won 6 in a row, 5 in a row 2 times last season and 4 in a row twice this season (now on 5 obviously). But how many stats/records has Pearson equaled/surpassed this past 2 seasons? Now's the time to win 6 in a row for the 1st time in god knows how long! Well, the last time we won six on the trot was back in the 1992/1993 season and the last time Leicester City won seven games in a row, which still is a club record, was in early 1993 - during the very same season: 28 February 1993 Birmingham City H 2–1 10,284 Walsh, Lowe 6 March 1993 Barnsley A 3–2 9,452 Coatsworth (2), Walsh 10 March 1993 Sunderland H 3–2 15,609 Walsh (2), Lowe 13 March 1993 Tranmere Rovers A 3–2 9,680 Walsh, Thompson, Lowe 20 March 1993 Grimsby Town H 3–0 15,930 Walsh, Oldfield, Groves (own goal) 23 March 1993 Cambridge United A 3–1 6,836 Joachim, Lowe (2) 27 March 1993 Charlton Athletic H 3–1 17,290 Joachim, Walsh (2) Source: wikipedia
CosbehFox Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 This. They came here and beat us, on the back of losing 5-0 at home to Blackpool I seem to recall. Dangerous, but we should win this. Last year we beat Ipswich 6-1, then lost on the Tuesday away at Leeds 1-0. Biggest shame is that we won't have much support there thanks to ridiculous pricing.

RedHux Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Leeds were awful at the city ground. One shot all game and that came from lascelles wellying it into Darlows arse. They only ever threatened from set pieces and constantly tried to lump it that smith (will he be banned?). Easy win for yourselves.

Not to mention an unfamiliar formation and Lloyd at wing back
shasse Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Paddy power have a Leicester win at 21/20 currently; hardly worth a flutter.
